When we bought our house in Hendersonville N.C. we knew that our driveway was steep, but we didn’t realize that very few people would drive up it because it was so steep. After a year, we decided we needed to make our house more accessible by building a second driveway which would extend from the top of our current driveway through our adjacent, wooded, and sloped ¼ acre lot to the road – about 140 feet. We chose Mike Stollenmaier and Quality Contractors because Mike spent the time to make sure I knew what was involved in building this driveway; demonstrated that he had the experience, expertise, and integrity to do the job well, and quoted me a reasonable price. As part of the job, he did: a fair amount of excavation including the removal of a number of trees and a considerable amount of soil; built a retaining wall of large boulders at the top of the driveway; pumped the concrete up from the street; negotiated a 90 degree curve; included a 2-car parking area; put in a line of LED landscaping lights along the new driveway and mulched the sides of the driveway. We have since asked him to landscape both sides of the driveway (Mike is a Licensed Landscape Contractor in NC) and landscape in back of our house, including creating a patio. Based upon our considerable experience with Mike, we highly recommend him and Quality Contractors to anyone who wants an excellent job done at a reasonable price. Mike Stollenmaier of Quality Contractors also worked with me to design a large patio and pathway of pavers. He explained to me the work that had to be done before the pavers were laid to ensure that the pavers would not settle in an uneven way. He recommended 4 different colored pavers that would complement our gray house and a brown retaining wall. This made it much simpler for us to make the final selection. His crew worked very hard and did so in a professional manner. The workers had a great attitude of seeing that the work was done right. We were very pleased with the finished product. We highly recommend Mike to anyone looking for a high quality use of pavers to enhance ones property.

I have found Mike to be a very pleasant and thorough contractor to work with. His employees were also pleasant and attentive toward doing a good job. We had a major re-landscaping project that included a new stamped concrete deck for our pool, a new metal fence around the pool, addition of pavers on the walkways, addition of flat stone on the front porch and steps, and the construction of a wooden pergola plus some shaping of the planting areas. Kim was the primary worker on the fence and pergola and we were impressed with his painstaking efforts to have all the measurements and work come out perfect. Mike would come around periodically and check to see how things were progressing and always seemed to be on top the work. Now that the work is essentially complete, the result *really* looks nice. I am very glad that we found Mike and the Quality Concrete Contractors and would have no hesitation to use them again.

Quality Contractors were timely, professional, and honest. They went out of their way to keep in touch with us and to follow up with us about the finished product. The project was a new driveway pad and we could not be happier with the work, and our new pad. The city has neglected to repair or repave our street for over 16 years and they used the broken and or missing black top as a reason to fail the final inspection. Quality Contractors took it upon themselves to repair a section of black top that boarders our new concrete pad so the city would and did pass the inspection. Again! Thanks to Quality Contractors!!

Our experience with Owner Mike & Quality Concrete Contractors was Exceptional -- We had to replace an original new build driveway, plus a lengthy addition/extension of an existing walkway. Mike and Rick were very personable, flexible and creative with design and solutions throughout the process. They take the extra steps and give you extra care in their workmanship, along with their large removal/install and finish crew, as well as excellent cleanup and putting everything back in place. Would absolutely use their services again -- Very highly recommended!!

Mike and his crew were a pleasure to do business with.They replaced our old driveway,installed a new patio front and rear and made the entire house ADA compliant and designed ramps into the front and rear doors. The quality of the concrete work was outstanding.This was a complicated projects.He is highly qualified.All the work was completed while we were out of town and he stayed on the job to insure customer satisfaction. If you want quality work Mike is your guy.This is a trade where you get what you pay for.Quality is worth the investment.

Mike and the team completed the 1300sq ft project in only 2 days! The team performed EVERY aspect of the job very professionally and to the highest standards. They removed the old cracked driveway, properly graded the site, placed the welded wired mesh and rebar (to validate proper depth throughout), and then poured/finished the concrete. I now have a Quality driveway that I expect will last for many years to come. I highly recommend Quality Contractors for all of your concrete needs.

I had a great experience with Mike and Quality Contractors. I really enjoyed talking with the estimator and the person, Kim, that started and completed the job. Kim was helpful too as a master carpenter. Concrete looks great and was completed in 24 hrs curing time.I even got a couple squares of homemade chocolate from Kim. I would use them again and recommend this company for all jobs concrete.
