If you would like to hire a secretary to file all the paperwork this company requires you would still not save a dime by using them. I filled out their lengthy application online, received my quote, then called the next morning to start the policy. When they answered the phone I was told that none of the information I filled out the night before was saved and I had to start the lengthy process all over again on the telephone. After completing the process I was told there was an issue with one of my vehicles. They said their underwriter claimed my Pontiac G6 was uninsurable because it was considered a high performance racing car. My G6 is a 4 door sedan with a 4 cylinder engine. I had to fax the title over to them and then the next day they began my coverage. After making the first initial installment and then one monthly payment I was sent a letter for additional information regarding an accident my wife had in 2015 , they also wanted to see my grown sons proof of insurance, and my proof of insurance for the last 18 months. Being that they already accepted my money and began my policy I considered this an odd request. I then faxed them the information they needed, time stamped from the fax machine in the Duty Lieutenants office from the Sheriffs Office where I work. I faxed that information over on a Friday at 1400 hrs. The following Tuesday I went online to pay my bill and was told that my policy was cancelled. They said I failed to provide the proper documentation. My secretary must have been off that day and missed something...lol. Needless to say I did not try to renew with this sham of an insurance company but was still owed a refund from my policy. This was June 26th, 2017, today is July 12th 2017 and I have yet to receive my refund. I was told it was mailed out on the 27th of June. Now I have to drive from Manorville into Nassau County to pick up my money that they owe me. All in all, the entire process was time consuming, frustrating, and completely unprofessional. I would not recommend this company to anyone and I have filed complaints with the NY State Department of Finance which regulates insurance companies in NY State, the BBB, and the Attorney Generals Office. I have told many people how poorly I was treated by this third rate insurance company and will tell anyone who listens how poorly they treat their paying customers.

I applied to this insurance company a week ago, so after l submitted my online application they gave me the result soon after l finished it, and honestly I thought they would accept it and base on my driving record with not issue and my clean history for more than 10 years, l said to myself, this is a piece of cake, so when they gave me the quota l was going to pay about 106 dollars which was fair enough, but they never called me, well in my my mind it was revolving the idea that maybe because my car is a 2002 model, they rejected me, but still they should have give me a courtesy call or email, but none of that happened, so i decided to call TSC DIRECT, well the girl who talked to me on the phone after she checked my information and reviewed my application, told me that i did not qualify base on my location, then I ask her, but why my location, and what happen with it, so she just limit herself to reject it base on my location. THAT IS SO RIDICULOUS, how can a company reject my application base on my location when my driving record is clean, and i have been driving for about 6 years in NY. THIS A TYPE OF DISCRIMINATION BASE ON YOUR GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION UNACCEPTABLE.

TSC Direct Auto insurance is a scam, a horrible company. I have ten years of great driving record, never had a ticket, work for the city of NY, very good credit and they tried to increase my rate with a $700.00 two months into the insurance. They requested that i fill the same application that i have already filled online initially when first joined, when i submitted it to them, they became very intrusive with their questionnaire as far as where did you live ten years ago, show proof of all your mileage that you used in your car for the last 2 years, the address of your job, the info on why did you travel for 67 miles, where did you go etc. Their questions is as if you are on a job interview about your very personal life. Their scams is to offer cheap prices, get the customers so that they may advertise about the amount of customers they have and then drop your business. If such intrusion in your personal lives, imagine putting in for a claim God forbid you get into an accident? they will give you hell to pay your claim. JOIN THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK, THEY ARE HORRIBLE

I have been with TSC for 6 years this past month September, my vehicle was hit while parked when I visited a friend. I must say I have received more grief from what was supposed to be my insurance company then anything else. The accident occurred 9-12-15, I am still without a car because they are withholding payment, coming up with all sorts of weird requests for paperwork. Might I mention I am now up to $500+ and counting in out of pocket rental fees because they have failed to pay the shop ,which their own adjuster visited and decided how much the work being done would cost. I call and phone calls are not quickly returned. The customer service staff with the exception of one young man is absolutely disgusting and rude. Oh and I can include they sent me a notice of non-renewal, very ironic. They had the time to draft and send out a non-renewal letter but no time to settle my claim. I would not recommend this company, they do have decent rates, which will go up if the wind blows on your car too hard.

I was staying with Geico for years. After this company offered me $80 annual savings, I was greedy enough to try. Once the coverage was obtained I started to receive lots of “addition paperwork”. Because I did not watch my mail regularly I missed one of their “additional requests” for phone bill. As a result my policy was cancelled, and I only learned about it when I found refund check for my policy in the mail. I called customer service and they advised me to start paperwork process from the beginning (after already filling so many forms). As a result the “saving” costed me $300 in state fees, because I did not have coverage for one month. If you have a secretary to process their never ending additional paperwork requests and want to save $100 annually comparing to major companies, then go for it. I called Geico and they gladly reinstated my policy and tenure after 3 month of lapse. No questions asked and NO PAPERWORK.

Hey dont ever purchase insurance with this branch. I tell you why.... Im a salesperson at a prime dealership in queens and some customers have tri state so when i call to add a car to the customers policy the girl name ***SONIA***always gives me an attitude and an unprofessional speach. So thats why i always reffer my customers to geico because geico always gives you good rate and good customer service. Tri state from Jericho turnpike should consider that i work for a prime dealership and they wish the will had my business.

Bait & Switch company! 5 weeks after getting insurance they decide I drive too far to work. I submitted documentation that I work from home now and they decided not to reinstate the policy because of the potential my situation could change in the future!!!! That reason is total BS . I filed a complaint with the NYS Department of Financial Services and now have to find another company. Would never recommend them.....guess you get what you pay for!!!!!

Terrible terrible experience. I would never recommend anyone going with these frauds. Gave me a quote of $130 a month for my car and I went through the entire process of getting pictures taken of my car by specific places and sending them all of these documents just to get the "final paperwork" saying it will be over $230 a month. Plus the reps rarely called back when I left messages and this whole process took close to a month. Absolutely disgusting

I called in a bit of a panic because I noticed the insurance card in my car had expired. The rep I spoke with, Dina, was awesome. She immediately alleviated my concerns and reassured me that my policy was in force and up to date. Apparently I simply forgot to put my new card in my car. Dina emailed me a copy of my card right away. She was extremely pleasant, patient, and super helpful. Great customer service!

I have performed an in-depth review of this company, THESE REVIEWS ARE FAKE. If you look at most of the 5 star reviews they all have the same things in common: review the same four companies(this, budget blinds and some other auto company). The reviews written by REAL people are very low and are very critical! STAY CLEAR OF THIS SUSPICIOUS INSURANCE COMPANY.

The receptionist at front desk spoke to me with respect and answered my questions so it was understanding to me and when she did not have an answer on one of my question she immediately went to find out and came back with an answer. I was very impressed with her she was spot on with the knowledge.

I have 2 children with disabilities, and a very low income, A car with car insurance is vital in my household and had it not been for the lowest price insurance of TSC, my life would have been impossible, and I would not be able to afford car insurance.

As soon as I switched to TSC Direct, I think it was a day after I signed the paperwork, my windshield got cracked. And the crack got worst because of the cold. It was one of those unfortunate event and I had it replaced and TSC covered it.

TSC is a great company, and they do a great job with customer service. I just wish they were a little more robust online. I would like to be able to view/make payments online, make coverage changes, quote other kinds of insurance, etc.
