These guys are brokers not the actual insurance companies. They will try to find you the cheapest best rate from a pool of many different insurance companies, and then take a piece of the pie...$$$. if you have DUI,accidents,bad driving record then these guys might work for you considering how difficult it will be to find an insurer. If you have a good clean record then just work directly with the auto insurance company like Geico, AAA, etc...
