Outstanding Service, Value, Product, Lead Time, and People!! Complete review of Estes Service major “services”. Electrical – New Service Line, new power supply from street, new electrical box on house, new breaker box, new/additional lighting, fixing general electrical issues. Plumbing – New Water Heater, emergency water cut off in house, moving gas line behind new stove to fit new stove, fixing frig water line, unclogging drainage pipes on property. Heat/AC – New Heat/AC, installing Nest Thermostat, relocating where the new AC Condenser was outside to better spot, new power line for system, emergency shut off for AC/Heat, new pump to take condensation water outside, and full duct cleaning service. My wife and I purchased an older home in the City of Decatur that needed a lot of work on the systems in the house. We quoted out to a few different companies. We made the decision to go with Estes Service on everything due to the overall package they offer. That is best Service, Value, Product, Lead Time, and People. I want to focus on “Service” for a moment… Service is trouble shooting any unforeseen issue that comes up, building confidence with the customer, being open and honest about work, and working with the customer to complete the job the RIGHT way that will last for the long haul. Estes Service was that company for my installation. Some of the quotes I received were slightly less than Estes, but those quotes were from companies that have no vested interest in quality work (Service). Those companies may not be open tomorrow, there work could cause issues down the road, and in general did not want to work with me… they seemed to just want to come in and bang out the work, then get out. Estes really wanted the work to be how I wanted it to, build a relationship for the long run, upfront pricing, and worked out any outstanding issues I had. When you are doing major work like this above, there are always little things that come up. Estes will work with you to resolve those and other guys will cover that up and hope you are not smart enough to check there work and/or figure out what they covered up. In the long run, those “cheaper turn and burn” companies will cost you more in pour quality of the work. You will likely have to have a company like Estes Service come out and fix those issues after a few years. The intangible part that you cannot put a figure or value to is the PEOPLE at Estes Service. They are truly passionate about their work, care for the customer, and want to do what is best for YOU! And yes, you can call Estes Service and ask for these individuals specifically by name to come out and hope you. Mike Mendez – Electrical - #1 Electrician in Atlanta! He is truly an asset to Estes Service and they are lucky to have him. I can learn something from his character and work ethics. Jonathan Caughman – Hard working and wants to do what is best for you the customer. David Unitt – Electrical - New to the company and quick learner. Marcus Evans - AC/Heat Replacement – Fastest and most skilled two man AC/Heat team I have seen. They each took lead on their parts and made it happen in one day. Edernst Barthelus – AC/Heat Replacement – Fastest and most skilled two man AC/Heat team I have seen. They each took lead on their parts and made it happen in one day. Bradley Majors – AC/Heat Initial Service – Customer friendly and able to get my old system in a place to keep the AC flowing until replacement decision quotes had been made. Cody Carden – AC/Heat Evaluation Replacement Assessment – Able to work with me to find the right system at the right price. Very open to meeting my needs and budget. John Hazzard – Plumbing - Very knowledgeable and could tackle any need you have. Has been in the industry a long time. Greg Richards – Plumbing – Outstanding Customer Service and able to make me feel very comfortable with the work he did. Lacey Hegwood – Customer Service – Able to make things happen that fit your schedule and take care of any issue you have. Thanks, Rick Elliott – Decatur GA – October 2016

Losing your air conditioning is not something you would consider to be a “positive” thing, but if you deal with the right company, the experience can be better than ever expected. I have only recently become an Estes customer, just a few weeks ago, when my air conditioning went out shortly after having my yearly maintenance done by another company. I called the office and spoke to Whitney, who listened while I explained that I wanted a second opinion because I had lost confidence in my current HVAC service provider. We booked an appointment for a tech to come out on Wednesday between 12-5, but somehow the appointment date got messed up and the appointment was actually on the books for Friday. On Wednesday I called the office around 4:30, only to learn that I had the wrong day! The customer service rep referred me to Whitney, who had set the original appointment, and she made arrangements to add me to the list THAT DAY for a tech who was finishing up for the day in Kennesaw. Can you imagine that? So tech Johnny arrived at 6, after regular hours, and spent a lot of time in the (HOT!) attic doing his inspection and taking pictures, and then explaining what he found. He confirmed a leak in the evaporator coil. After a long day and especially after my appointment was added to his schedule the last minute, Johnny was so patient and thorough in explaining his findings. I felt confident with his “diagnosis.” I called the office to set up an appointment for an estimate and spoke to Sandra. The first available date was the end of the following week. Since I had already been without air conditioning for a week, I was disappointed about waiting another week and asked if she could call me if anyone should cancel. I told her that I was ready to purchase and was anxious to switch from my current HVAC company to Estes. She said she would talk to Chase, the person who would be coming out to give me a quote, and would explain the situation to him. Later the SAME day, Sandra called back to say that Chase was able to rearrange his schedule and could come out the next day! Chase spent a lot of time with me explaining all my options and offering his recommendations, one of which was to add return registers in 2 rooms and to increase the size of another. He also took his time to make sure I understood, answering all my questions, explaining the calculations which help determine if you have adequate duct work, etc. He was knowledgeable, patient, and made me feel comfortable and well informed by the time he left. We scheduled the install for the following Saturday. Donald B. and Cody L. arrived on Saturday and installed a new evaporator coil and condenser and added extra return vents/duct work. They were personable, professional, neat (laying drop cloths while working on the new vents) and focused. They got started right away and they continued at a steady pace until the job was complete about 4 ½ hours later. Don even took the time to fix an existing vent in my kitchen that was attached only on one side since the other side had a bent flange. It had been that way for 12 years! I have also spoken to several customer service reps (Brittany, Taquisha (?), Tracy, Latoya) over the past few weeks while I was getting all my appointments set, etc. They were all very professional and helpful, very friendly, polite, and anxious to please. This is a long review but I had to address each step of the process because every step of the way I was met with Estes employees who were consistently top notch. Respectful, knowledgeable, courteous, going the extra mile….. you sure don’t see THAT everyday! Thanks to all your hard work, I am now cool as a cucumber!

Today we had Estes come and install both a whole house dehumidifier and a tankless water heater. This required removing the old water heater, running new water, gas and electric lines, and installing/reconfiguring a good bit of duct work for the dehumifier to tie into the existing HVAC system. Estes promised those both jobs would be completed in a single day and they certainly delivered. Patrick Lahr, Mike Martin, John Hazzard, and Mike Mendez were all very professional, knowledgeable and friendly, and kept me informed every step of the way. John arrived first and left last. His job must have been the most difficult of all. I was very impressed with his communication to let me know beforehand when to expect the water to be completely off. John arrived around 10:30 AM and didn’t leave until just after 6:00. Even with such a long work day at an end, he took the time to help me flush the lines and test the hot water temperature and pressure. He also made sure the forced heat through the air vents was working correctly. Mike was very helpful in giving me a quick explanation of how to use the dehumidifier. I appreciate that both he and John left the instruction manuals directly on top of the appliances so we can refer to them. The team as a whole worked well together - each doing his part to make sure everything worked like it was supposed to. There were no time delays in having to wait for this person or that to show up before work could begin. They communicated with each other very well to complete a series of tasks in a specific time span. I love love love these new systems and the improved quality of their services. The house feels more comfortable that it ever has because of the dehumidifier, and has already made getting to sleep so much easier! I think it has helped lessen my allergies as well. I noticed I was not sneezing so much as usual in the morning. I also appreciated the ease of being able to pay with a credit card rather than a paper check. Overall I am very pleased. I am also delighted that we didn’t have to wait a long time, after our quotes, before the work could be completed! We have these systems in place just in time for our children to be able to enjoy them when they visit next week. *****EDIT***** Estes needed to return to replace a GFCI outlet. While onsite, Nick asked if we had considered a whole-house surge protection system. We had already been thinking about it and after a little more research decided it was a good idea. Nick returned right on schedule a few days later and did a perfect job adding a new subpanel (since our main panel was full), installing the surge protection, and, as an add-on, completely rewiring out garage to replace the ugly and out-of-code DYI job I did myself 20 years ago. Thank you Estes!

Estes comes to the rescue again!! :) I found out my water heater had broken when I was no longer able to take hot showers. I did not know the main water pressure valve had failed and leaked water throughout my garage and storage room where the water heater was located. I called Estes, and you sent me two service technicians by the names of Preston and Richard to my home to address the issue. Your employees were professional and personable, but most importantly they were able to explain exactly what had happened and what needed to be done to correct the situation in a manner that I could easily understand. I am the original owner of my home and I understood it was simply time for the water heater to be replaced. However, I did not know that the builder of the home had not properly installed the main pressure valve to the house, and that contributed to its failure. Preston and Richard, changed the water heater and main pressure valve within about two hours, and then contacted Champion Cleaning Systems to help me with the water damage and mold that had developed from the leak. Preston recommended that the door to the storage room be changed as well because it was a safety issue that had to be addressed in order for the home to be within the proper housing code. I did not know I could have had a fire in the storage room-garage area because of the improper installation of the water heater and main pressure valve by the builder. I do not have to worry about the safety issue or water heater any longer because Preston and Richard did a fabulous job changing everything that needed to be replaced. I love the waterheater that sits on the ground and the proper brass piping for the valves. I am confident in the service and workmanship that was provided at my home. I know that I can trust all the recommendations and instructions that were given to me by Preston and Richard. Your employees put my mind at ease, and help to relieve the stress I felt due to this situation. I would be happy to have them assist me again and I welcome their professional advice. I am a longtime customer, and grateful that Estes has come to my rescue once again. Thank you very much, Ms Margaret McCall
