I called Stans, a firm I have previously used at 3:15 pm and described my problem to Matt. His reply was we can have a technician to your house between 3 and 5. My first thought was tomorrow and a night without heat. When I inquired he said, "No, today." Mickey knocked on our door about 30 minutes later. He checked the system thoroughly and tried several different things. The final diagnosis was a part that would have to be ordered. The anticipated date to receive and replace the part was Friday. He then told us how we could use the heater without fear; for that we were grateful because this was the middle of the long, dreary cold spell that ended last week. On Thursday Matt called and asked if someone was going to be home. We said yes and about 20 minutes later Mickey arrived and installed the part. We were happy to have the heating system working correctly a day earlier than anticipated.

THIS WAS A PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE SERVICE. NOTHING WAS BROKEN SO NOTHING NEEDED FIXING. MY HIGH MARKS FLOW FROM THE WAY TECHNICIAN ANASTASIA PRESENTED HERSELF AND COMMUNICATED WITH US DURING AND AFTER SHE HAD COMPLETED HER SYSTEM CHECK. VERY THOROUGH AND PROFESSIONAL WITH USEFUL INFORMATION ABOUT THE EXPECTED LIFE OF OUR THREE UNITS. SHE ALSO VOLUNTEERED TO CHANGE OUR FILTERS. TWO OF WHICH ARE TOO HIGH FOR ME TO REACH. Upon returning from 10 hour surgery at M.D. Anderson, plus 4 days of Hospitalization, I found my Stans New Unit not cooling. All it took was a call to Main Man Brian of Stans, a former VET for the U.S.A., and air was given, pending seemlessly ordering new part under warrenty and trading out not working coils to working, I never felt any August heat in AUSTIN!. Hire a Vet!

I paid a service fee of $89 on yhe premise he would tell me up front the options. Instead he puts 4.5 pounds of freon in unit and then tells me he could see the leak in coil. Two weeks later its not cooling again and it cost me $423. They dont seem worried about howvtheir technician mishandled this.

They have service our units for years.... down stairs unit stopped working...called Stans They where to come between 12-2 . They were a no show. They cancelled my repair... when I decided not to sign up for the service maintenance. At 3:30 I called another repair company.... it was 99 outside
