Took the car in for no heat and learned it looked like the head gasket was blown. First denial was since the dealership could not see other damage to of caused the failure so plan would not cover it. Upon repair of head gasket dealership notice that the bearing were shot and engine was knocking. Contacted AUL again about repair and "damage due to non covered items are not covered under the plan". Meaning because the dealership did not test for other issuing in the beginning AUL considers the first problem (head gasket) to be the reason for engine failure. According to the dealership the gasket failing is only one possible explanation to why the engine failed. My policy covers engine failure due to normal wear and tear. An engine failing over time is part of wear and tear by any definition. Even if that was by parts giving out. At current AUL refuses to pay for anything on the vehicle. After calling and getting refused again told AUl that I would be filling a complaint with the BBB and that it could hurt their rating. Their response was that even if I did that it would not have any effect on their company. Simple disregard for customer service. First Google search of AUL comes up with "AUL Complaints" so believing I am not the first to have this problem with the company.
I purchased a used car just one month ago and the dealership I purchased it from puts AUL warranties on the cars they finance and sell. The warranty was only for 3 months or 3,000 miles which gave me piece of mind since that should be enough time to figure out if your car is a lemon. The warranty was even touted to me as covering seals and gaskets! One month later and the check engine light came on. I take it back to the dealer who discovers that the catalytic converter is going out. They file a claim with AUL and guess what? That’s the one thing in the implied bumper to bumper warranty that’s conveniently not covered. So it looks like I may be on the hook for almost $1000 in repairs to car that I have only had for a month. The only difference between AUL and US Fidelis is the US Fidelis people went to prison for their great warranties. 0 Stars!!!
We purchased a used SUV from a Reputable Used Car dealer who sold us an AUL Extended service agreement. After only having the vehicle for several weeks we had issues with the transmission. We were very nervous because the repair cost for replacement was over $ 3000 and was more money than we had even paid for the Service Contract. We were so please when AUL stepped up and paid our entire claim including paying for a rental vehicle while our vehicle was down. This meant a lot to our family ! We could not have been happier !
Waste of money. If somthing is going to go wrong with your car enough to need an engin or tranny this company will do everything in there power to not cover the cost unless you are a car dealership with connections. I have been paying for a power train warranty for over 8 months and a cylinder lost compression they said because the cylinder had signs of burning that it was my fault. The car never overheated and its not like the would know because they never sent a adjuster to verify.STEER CLEAR.

horrible company. was lied to by my dealership that the warrantee covered all issues except electrical, for18 months, and without a cap on what they covered. Turns out, as i sit here after they spent $1000 to help me put a $6000 new engine in my car, that they had a cap on the amount they can spend per plan. Also, my entire experience with AUL customer service involved me being called a liar and "unable to read", amongst other awful things. NEVER USE AUL!0
I will never get a Extended Warranty with AUL in my Life. I brought a used 2006 Chevy Trailblazer SS from Ohio back in Aug-2014 and added a extended warranty with AUL and in Oct-2015 my front differential needed to be replace and this warranty company was looking for anything to not honor this service, in which they said the differential was not lubricated enough. It would be a day in Hell before I purchase another warranty from AUL. I live in Maryland.
I need an a/c compress replaced. They were willing to cover all cost of replacement until they learned we needed to do a flush of the system before installing. They refused to cover the flush or anything that had to do with it. It is standard procedure to flush the system before installing a new compresser in any A/C system. The contract says they cover installion but told me that the flush was my responsibility. I will never use them again.
in June of last year had a major oil leak on my Chevy Uplander van. I took the vehicle to local Aamco dealer to find out what was leaking, The oil leak up being the cylinder head gaskets, ( major repair ), To say I was grateful to have a service contract would be an understatement, . Shop mention he loves working with AUL service contracts, the best adjusters and service support team so just a shot out to AUL Thank you
Simply the best service contract company in the country. I have a 2005 TL & took my vehicle in for repairs. I knew it needed control arm bushings, but the shop found a leaking power steering pump on a safety inspection. AUL had no problem adding the pump to the claim & authorizing it. I was back in my car the next day!!! Superb service. I will get an AUL service contract on all of my future vehicle purchases.
AUL has been a stand up company who does right by their customers in addition to providing quality products at a great value. With so many companies trying to sell extended warranties that do not provide practical coverage, AUL is hands down one of the best. If you are looking to purchase an extended service contract for your vehicle, I highly recommend AUL.
I have had a lot of experience with warranties purchased from AUL... Have your dealership call them if you have any issues, I have had great service from this company, I had a couple of times where there was a breakdown of communication but my dealership took care of it right away with AUL and the service center took care of it right away.
Had really great experience working with Freddy and management team. Claim department is very diligent and has excellent customer service. He worked very hard to make sure all my concerns and worries have been properly and quickly addressed and my expectations met. Very good and reliable company.
AUL has been in business since I was born, 1990! I have personally purchased a Service Contract and could not be more happy with the service I have received. AUL pays their claims in a timely manner, and they always have a LIVE person on the phone to answer any of your needs! You guys rock!
I spoke with someone named Glen and adjuster was Peter. They were very helpful and professional. I faxed over maintenance record and that same day my mechanic received authorization to fix a 1,500 dollar repair. I had only 45.00 to pay out of pocket. Thanks to everyone involved.
This company is the absolute worst warranty company. They will do whatever they can to avoid paying out any claim. They are a scam. They epitomize a soulless money grubbing corporation. Do not ever buy. If your dealer wants to sell you one, tell them to work with someone else.

BUYER BEWARE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Being a warranty admin for over 5 years I have never been spoken too or treated they way this company has spoken to me. Beyond disrespectful and they could care less about the customer.

I work in the Service department of a dealership. I call on a regular basis. Consistently a 30+ minute hold time, with limited amount of time to sit on the phone. Coverage is inconsistent, depending on components.

Brought a 2003 Tahoe (79,000 miles) was able to bye a new vehicle coverage on this vehicle. I have had several claims and all have been easy to get paid.
Wish 0 stars was an option. Engine went out 12 months after buying car. They only cover some of it. Way less then the lot leads you to believe.
This is a very bad warranty, they refused to pay for covered items, stall by sending an inspector to verify repairs and low ball estimate.
