THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH A COMPANY! Late September I signed a contract with them for $21,000+ dollars, and gave them a $3,000+ dollar down payment. The rep obviously did not know what he was doing as he bid the job too low which I would find out in early November when someone who actually knew the job scope came to my house and said everything was all wrong in the paperwork. The job that they needed to do would cost more money! They must be crazy! Keep in mind that a month and a half went by from the time I signed my contract to the time they were supposed to start the job. Obviously I tell them I am not paying a dime more then what I agreed to and I sent the workers away. The nice man took down the necessary measurements and said he would consult with the main office and get back to me. 3 weeks went by and I received 2 calls throughout this time: one from an office secretary telling me they are still working on it and to give them a little more time. The other was from the man who came to the house that took the measurements, apologizing that he was 100% focused on getting this completed. Well, another 2 weeks went by and I was so enraged that I had not received a call that I called for my refund. The lady was very nice and forwarded me to a gentleman who I guess had to approve the refund. Once again, NO CALL BACK! I had to call AGAIN to demand my refund. I started this process on the 22nd of September and received my refund on the 13th of December. This company wasted 2.5 months of my time for absolutely zero in the end. I am so disgusted that I had to write this review! I had to miss several hours of work throughout this process also. And to top it off, the original sales rep had the nerve to call me twice this week and left messages asking if we could still work together and just change the scope of the job. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?!?!?! I am a good Christian man otherwise I would have called him back and said more curse words than I even have in my vocabulary. HELITECH here I come!!!!

Woods installed anchors in my basement wall in 2013. In the past year, the wall had continued to move. There were some missteps with initial service visits assessing the problem. After consulting with a structural engineer though, I contacted Woods for warranty service with a firm understanding of what was needed. Once the supervisor saw the wall, he immediately said we needed a repair and that the work would be done without charge. There was no resistance. They excavated the wall yesterday, put in addition anchors, and pulled the wall back into place. My structural engineer directed that the cracks needed to be injected and the wall waterproofed. That was also done without a charge even though I asked for a bid and expected to pay for it (!). Once the wall was excavated, it was discovered that the footing had settled. They installed piers today at an affordable price as confirmed by my consulting engineer. The foremen Jeremy and Miguel were both fantastic, along with all of the workers on the team. Watching the piers raise the footing back up to the bottom of the foundation was very reassuring. People I talked with warned me that Woods was likely to fight doing the warranty work. My experience was completely the opposite. They took great care of the problem, presented no hassle, explained everything during the work, and even did more than minimally required. I could not have been more pleased. Professional, clean, affordable, timely, and communicative. Kudos to Woods.

We had a support beam that slipped and would need to have its supports replaced, I called or emailed 6 contractors about this repair and of the 3 that responded Woods offered the best solution for our problem. The Randy and the sales department was fantastic, no hard sell. The office staff was great to work with and stayed in contact to make sure everything was ok before and after the repair. The installation crew were complete pro s, they showed up on time, they completed the work in a timley manner with the least disruption to the household and when they were done, except for the new piers, you wouldnt know anybody had done a major repair job in the basement, they left no mess and anything they moved for access was placed back in its exact spot. The other things that sold me on Woods basement Systems, in addition to the repair solution, was the warranty and that the job could be completed in 1-day, the other bids were going to take multiple visits over a 2-week period.

If you negotiate the price they make you right a good review! This is how they have their high rating. Basement leaks, from 3 feet over from where the repair was done. They said that sometimes it happens because that is the next weakest point in the basement. They never said such things when giving me estimates nor did they ask to include other areas of the basement. If there were other weak points I would have wanted to fix them. Also they did not tell me that I would need to have an electrician run electrical to the sump area. I found out after their work was done and I asked if is was "ready to go." The response was "as soon as you get an electrician in here." I have found that they constantly up-sell you. For the huge upfront price you would not think this is possible. I kept needing to add things or bring in someone else. Turns out they have a bad reputation, just not online.

After 27 years our basement had a leak. Your company was professional in its initial contact, and we agreed to move forward, though the backlog pushed the scheduled date two months later. After a couple of scheduling hiccups, Miguel with his crew, Jacob and Brad, arrived and started the agreed upon work: installing an outside drainage system along one side of the foundation. Everything went smoothly until it was discovered that an exterior sump pump would be needed to insure a dry basement. The company worked with us to accommodate the necessary change in design and plan. Miguel was very professional in his assessment and execution, and the work was completed satisfactorily. The crew was punctual, hard-working, organized, neat, and did a careful installation down to the last detail. We appreciated having Miguel and his crew do our work.

UPDATE 1/28/15 - Michael Jones and his crew installed a Tripe Safe sump pump in my basement to replace the existing sump pump. The crew was courteous and very professional. After the work was complete they did a great job cleaning up the work area. They also demonstrated how the pump worked and explained every piece of hardware they installed. Another job well done! Juan and Justen did an excellent job sealing my crawl space. They went to work as soon as they arrived and were very friendly and courteous. Juan was very flexible when I wanted to move the outlet for the sump pump drain. I highly recommend this crew and company to anyone with crawl space problems. Their products are the best around and their people are very knowledgeable and friendly.

I had requested an annual visit from Woods after I purchased my home in November. Montrae Montgomery was my technician. Montrae was very courteous, professional and knowledgeable of his job. He explained all that he was doing in terms that were easy to understand & knew a great deal about all the products that his company offered. He operated for me as the homeowner and never pressured me to purchase additional, unnecessary products. I will certainly request that Montrae be sent for my next annual maintenance appointment. I might also mention that Montrae is undoubtedly an asset to this company, and if not already, his ideas to improve business practices beyond the scope of service calls should be welcomed by management with open arms.

I recently had a sump pump exit drain installed by Woods. The crew that came out installed a french drain that exited right in the middle of my yard which caused my yard to flood and had to call several times before a crew came out to fix the problem. Our "specialist" Pete would not return phone calls after the work was completed according to their standards. I also explained to Pete I wanted the drain to go several feet under ground because we would be pouring a concrete walkway next to the foundation. He assured me it would, but I discovered afterward that the pipe is barely under the ground and I now need to call another contractor to fix what they did. I will never rely on Woods for another project.

Love, Love, Love It! Thanks to Melvin and his team our new sump pump is installed! After the pump was in John, Donnie, and Mike came and did their magic on my basement. They were professional, friendly, and highly skilled. I had absolutely no idea that the room could look so good. I was taken aback with the work, and service that we received. John, Donnie, and Mike are the absolute best. Much thanks to them! Everything about using Woods Basement Systems has been excellent. Pete, was great as he led us in the process and answered our questions throughout, the pump installation went well thanks to Melvin, and John, Donnie, and Mike were fabulous with the remodel. Thanks to Woods!

I have used this Company many years. Today the service from Corey Schneider was exemplary. I had water leaking and thought it was my sump pump. I called Woods yesterday late aft and they scheduled Corey for 8 am today. He called at 7:45 to say he would arrive on time. He quickly discovered it was a clogged a/c hose. He tested sump, it was fine, but noticed dehumidifier was not functioning. Power ran, but it did not pull any water. Recommended replacement, installed it then and there. Highly efficient, courteous, good communicator - explained everything. A/c service people coming today and Corey gave it temporary fix til they arrive. He was outstanding. Thank you.

Woods Basement installed wall anchors for me in a cinder block foundation basement approx. 15 years ago, the work came with a lifetime warranty. Recently I detected some movement in some of the cinder blocks. Chris Blickenstaff from Woods came out and approved installing additional wall anchors under warranty. No argument, no fuss, no drama; they stand behind their warranty. Jeremy, Ryan, and Patrick came out on the scheduled days to install the anchors. They were very professional, friendly, and extremely hardworking. They care about the quality of their work. I have had a very positive experience with Woods and would most certainly use them again.

I am hoping to contribute to your Foreman Quinton winning your WOW! Service Award. He and Jay were on time, worked together wonderfully, were professional, delightful, and did a wonderful job, the kind of people you would like to claim as family. I would highly recommend both of them. The wall system looks beautiful, and I am looking forward to enjoying a dry basement family room once again. Sincerely grateful, Patricia L. Smith

After waiting 2 months to have my basement problem (water coming in under a door) looked at, I was told that I should completely waterproof my entire basement, which included purchasing a new sump pump. This would be fine, except I just needed one small spot fixed, and I already have a brand new sump pump that works perfectly! The technician was gouging me, and the company did nothing to address this issue. When I voiced my concern I was completely ignored. They should have apologized for their technician, and they should be embarrassed about this unethical practice. This is in no way a company that I can recommend.
