My time with Godsey Martin law firm was horrible. We had to get a lawyer because we were hit from the back at a red light. It was bad from the start until the very last day when I got my money. They are the most unprofessional people and business that I have ever encountered in my life. They don’t answer, or return phone calls. They just call you when they feel like it which is about once every other month. Even though they was not answering my calls, I know they were listening to my voicemails and getting my emails so I made it known what my concern was in my voicemail. Then my insurance covered some of my bills, and the lawyers insisted that I had to pay the insurance company back. After talking to the insurance company that was a lie, the lawyers was just trying to keep the money because if it was true I would have been in debt about $5000. But because we were smart and called the insurance company we knew they were lying and they would have just walked away with the $8000 they said we owed the insurance company. I am in school, and i was coming home on a weekend so I wanted to have my money before I left. I called the person that was working on my case and asked her about my check and she laughed and said yeah it’s here. So in my head, I am wondering why is she laughing and why didn’t she bother to call me and tell me that the check was there. We scheduled to have an appointment on a day when I was at home. I brought my dad with me because he is more educated with these types of situations than I am. He has been alive longer, so he has experienced more crooks than I have. Getting to the lawyers office the lady I was supposed to be meeting with had just went to lunch. We waited a while and they sent about 3 people in there to help us, but they were not able to answer our questions. By now we had been there a hour and a half and we were tired of waiting on the person they we had an appointment with but never showed up. As we were leaving another lady said well let me try to help y’all, we would ask her questions and she would answer them with an attitude and try to make us feel dumb for asking a questions. We asked her for copies of some of the things and she stormed out of the room. We then had another question which bothered her so she stormed out again and told us we can wait. First of all that lady was really unprofessional but may have been under the influence. After 2 hours of being there, we got to talk to a manager and we were finally able to leave with our questions answered. But honestly they walk away with more money than you, and you are the one that was in pain and will have to deal with those things the rest of your life. Point of the review: They are unprofessional, rude, liars, they will try to take all your money and leave you with nothing. I promise if you need a lawyer you can get anybody better than them. RUNNNN from them as fast as you can. In other words “Girl, don’t you go to ‘ijustgothit’, cause they are TERRIBLE. THEY DONT EVEN DESERVE A 1.

I was involved in an Accident on thanksgiving weekend ( November 2015 ) , the same weekend I lost my mother. My wife, brother in law, and I was driving thru McKinney, TX on highway 75 leaving Sherman, TX passing the white exit. I heard a loud boom sound, I thought I had a blow out, not knowing I was hit from the rear passenger side. The truck began to spin around several times until it came to complete stop facing the opposite direction facing traffic. The rain was pouring down unable to see the oncoming traffic headlights. I jump out of the truck to yield the traffic from hitting us. After the police showed up and assisted us by getting both drivers information. We head on our way home in Arlington, TX... My brother in law calls Godsey & Martin and started the process. The next business day, we receive a call back. I talked to Jasmine. She tells me that they would request the Police report & Copy of the Accident Report, to start the Claim. After 2 weeks pass, I get the status of the case. I was told we haven’t heard anything but if you can get the information, it would be helpful. I called my insurance company (Allstate) and requested all the information Godsey & Martin needed to start the process. Allstate asked why was I requesting the information if I was being represented by Attorneys. My answer was they don’t want to take the time to get the information but still want to invoice their Clients a $200 Admin Fee & 33 and a 3RD percent of the claim. The driver of the other vehicle that hit me, insurance company (Nationwide) accepted 100% reasonability. I had to get into a rental vehicle until my truck was repaired but Allstate was giving me a hard time about paying because they’re going to invoice Nationwide and needed an upfront payment. I was on the phone with both companies about who’s going to pay but my Adjuster told me that My attorney need to call. I called the law firm Several Times, Day After Day. No Answer or Return Call Back. Left Several Voicemails. When I called the firm to speak to my Attorney, Never Met Him or Her but I was told he left the company. I asked could anyone at the firm call Allstate / Nationwide back to give payment info. I did a conference call with one of the representative from the Law Firm to confirm payment. We finally resolve that issue and it comes time to settle with Nationwide. Karl called me and gave me the amount Nationwide offered to settle. I advised him to fight & get more, his words was so discouraging telling me he wouldn’t do it if he was me. I tell Karl, that you’re representing me and at least try to fight for your Clients. I thought I would ever in life say this but, “I would never Use a Black Law Firm”!!!!!.....After seeing the commercials and ads, Godsey & Martin Words Are Yet To Catch Up With Their Actions…They Do Not Treat Their Clients Right!!!!

So far its been an absolutely horrible experience. Hospefully this will change but as of now it doesnt seen to go anywhere. I have a wife and 4 children i have to support. They have sent me to the most ghetto chiorpractic practice in all of DFW. Who dont listen to what you tell them instead they force you to do "exercises" when you can barley move. Im no doctor by any means but im pretty sure these places are supposed to minimize your pain not make it significantly worse. Not to mention i have texted the stupid "alert" system multiple times and have not had any calls back. My insurance needs permission from my laywer to release my vehicle to them and i cant get a responce by email, text or by phone call.

I went thru this company because somebody told me that they were a good law office well the first settlement went well with the toatl loss department but when it comes time to settle for your check this company takes forever they say my check was mailed out on the 26 here it is 4 weeks later no check no call no nothing they tell you what they want too never again

Horrible. Beware do not use them! They could not get the insurance carrier to settle more than 7,000 so they gave my case to Maud law firm a group of middle eastern firm who aint about a bebe lots of pictures with judges they both charged me 33 1/3 which was 66 % theres a law they can do this its a scam.!!!!

They took forever getting me my second part of my settlement and they lied about how many days I went to therapy do to the wreck I had. They said I went for 5 days and I went for A MONTH ANS SOME WEEKS! Basically tried to get me Out of my money. Somebody referred me to them but never again!

Good business but there are a few case handlers that need retraining. The attorneys are great and they are willing to come see you anywhere you live after an accident which is a plus. Make certain your case handlers are doing what they are supposed to and the rest is great.
