I was contacted via phone and email afterwards by Tim Marcus, Marketing Coordinator to discuss the incidents in more details; he was very professional and understood everything I wrote and said to him, he admitted the school “dropped the ball” and invited me back to the school to get the entire course at no charge, he also corrected the refund discrepancies and noted what went wrong so this issues does NOT happens again in the future… I truly believe errors do happens, the great thing about being humans is the way we react and fix problems & mistakes. I’m upgrading my ratings to a 4 stars one taking in count his approach and follow up as well as my experience in the initial course taken where the Insurance Instructor: Hyman Levy was very knowledgeable and managed to have an interesting class. After I retake the courses I will reevaluate this rating and I hope it will be upgrade to a 5 stars one. PS: My original experience is below just for proper records of the incident which I already mentioned was promptly and satisfactory fixed by Tim Marcus. _______________________________________________________ ORIGINAL Review: I bought a 20 hours courses for my Insurance License continue education requirements 2 months ago, I went to the first 2 classes and everything went well that day. Then 2 weeks later I went back for another 2 classes, I arrived 5 minutes prior the start time (9:00AM) and they had a sign saying that “Insurance Continue Education (CE) where in classroom C (photo attached) so I get in that room… The professor was not the same as the first time, he started talking around 9:15AM because it was raining and many students were still missing. Then he started talking about he’s new home remodeling, also talked about how much he likes to fish, cruises, vacations, etc… Around 9:10 he start covering the materials of the curse and by the first break I realized I was in the wrong classroom. I went to the front desk and explain everything, the woman imply that I was lying because it shouldn’t take over one hour to realize that I was in the wrong curse… So I told her that I was, that I arrived on time and I didn’t understand what they were talking about until minutes ago. What I wanted at that point was to get into the correct classroom and get the credit for the time lost. She then said she’ll ask the teacher on that room C and depending on his statement she will let me into the already started Insurance course and give me the credit for the hour and a half past… When the teacher got to the front desk he said not to have seeing me ever before… I told him that all my stuffs was still inside the room… he insisted that he is an “instructor” not to control who is or who isn’t in the classroom. The only offer I got was to reschedule the class for a later time. Since I don’t want to expend another day on this and called them today to drop the pending classes and get a refund. Another problem arise, they want to give only a partial refund of $61 and make a weird math to came up with that number. The real and only math will be to divide the total credits I bought by the amount paid, then multiply this “average” by the number of credits I was dropping/canceling. $189.00 paid / 20 credits = $9.45 per credit X 8 drop credits = $75.60. This is the only math available which does NOT take in consideration how badly I was treated’ like I was a stupid person who don’t differentiated between Insurance classes and Real Estate.

I have registered to take the real estate license in Spanish and really very disappointed in the quality of classes, starting with textbooks that have millions of errors for which no study could safely and do not know if what I am reading is reliable information. Teachers or teacher who has touched us is but a reader of the book, what it does is read and in some occasions is detien to explain something, not if the system but in class discontent is quite widespread , and will send an email to Mr. Velasquez I was informed that it was the director of Spanish but very very very disappointing truth

In the years that I have had my insurance licenses (Life, Health and P/C) and most recently my real estate agent license and real estate broker license, the vast majority of my insurance continuing education and all of my real estate pre and post licensing were completed at Gold Coast Schools. I have used Gold Coast Schools for many years and plan to continue for many more years to come. In that time I have had several different instructors and a range of courses. The one thing that has been constant is the service of the staff, at the front desk. Alba Ortega and Claudia Guerra both have been there. Others have come on occasion, however, Alba and Claudia have been more than professional, competent, reliable, knowledgeable and kind. I would like to point that out to your management because, as you know, the first face you see in any business sets the tone of the relationship with the clients. As I plan to look forward to widening my professional portfolio, I look forward to seeing Alba and Claudia in the months and years to come.

Well the mere fact that I traveled 4 hours (one way) and spent money on a hotel for two days just to attend a class giving out by a Gold Coast School’s instructor, says a lot, for I could easily have taken it here in my area others real estate schools, but my last two attendance here for my continuing education (14-hours class) have been very disappointing, to say the least. Now, Bill Benson, was a tremendous instructor, not only he showed us what was important on the new and updated real estate law and regulations on the book, but he cared enough to address everyone personal career in this real estate business and showed us how to make it better to be able to be successful in the industry. I, personally, had a very educational and enlightening time with Mr. Benson during this 14 hours CE class. I’d recommend Bill to anyone that might take this class in the future, and I commend Gold Coast Schools for having such a educational personnel for instructorship on their staff.

I took the Sales Associate (FREC1) week long course with Professor Grandy and had a phenomenal time. I’ve never met an instructor that can keep a class so focused after long 8 hour days. As a seasoned Real Estate Investor, I commend Professor Grandy on providing in-depth knowledge of the real estate industry and applying it to his lessons. Even though this course is fast paced, Grandy slows it down enough for students to ask questions in order to grasp the concepts of what is being taught. Furthermore, Gold Coast has done an excellent job providing its students with organized information in regards to getting our license setup. I highly recommend Gold Coast and Grandy to anyone interested in taking their Sales Associate pre-license course.

When I decided take a Real Estate - Pre license class I made a few research than I learned that Gold Coast school was hanker in the market as the best school of Real Estate . Today I pass in my class with 91% Score , witch prove a quality of education .
