On October 10, 2017, the 4-person crew from WeatherGard completed replacing all 34 windows in my Canton Michigan home. My wife and I are thrilled with the new windows. From our WeatherGard sales person, to the installation crew, to the marketing personnel, everyone was professional, courteous, informative, and Cheerful. The installation crew clearly knows their craft and cares about quality. Working quickly, they removed the old windows as well as some of the existing trim, without marring the remaining trim – no easy task. They carefully centered the new windows in the existing frames, making sure that adjacent windows were at the same height to avoid a staggered appearance. Few window frames were perfectly level, so they made adjustments as needed to minimize differences between the frames and windows, ensuring the windows did not look tilted relative to the frames. Expanding, closed-cell foam was sprayed to insulate the gap between the new windows and the existing openings using a two-step process to completely fill the space. First, they sprayed foam around the gaps from outside the house; only partially filling the gaps, because once spraying begins it is impossible to see whether the gaps are filling completely. Second, they sprayed foam around the gaps from inside the house. I am confident the gaps were completely filled. Interior trim pieces were cut and installed to cover the foam and finish off the appearance. The fit and miters were perfect on all trim pieces. On the exterior, the existing wood frames were covered with aluminum pieces. These pieces were cut and formed onsite, then painstakingly hand-trimmed to match the stepped contour of the aluminum siding – necessary for applying the sealer. I wish I could apply such smooth continuous sealer beads. The crew worked hard, completing the installation one day early to avoid exposing unfinished windows to a predicted rainstorm. Clean up was thorough inside and out. I looked carefully for nails and small pieces of aluminum that my mower might turn into projectiles and found nothing worth mentioning. I cover all these details because it may help someone looking for new windows to better understand the process, which is much more involved than I expected. We just had a couple of windows and sliding doors installed yesterday. The product itself is excellent and we can immediately tell the difference from our old windows and doors. The materials are sturdy and high-quality and improved the appearance of the room. One sliding door was installed in our bedroom and on the first night, we had to decrease the thermostat in the middle of the night since our room became too warm. I guess this means the product is already delivering as promised. Our experience with Weathergard has been very good thoughout the process. All employees we came into contact with, approx 10 of them from different departments from the salesman right up to the installers, have been very pleasant, accomodating and professional. It took about a couple of months from contract signing to installation and to be truthful, during the whole time we only had to deal with one wrInkle and that is when we were trying to schedule the measurement. The guy in-charge acted like a jerk at first but then after a while he became very apologetic and accomodating. The office Manager got involved with the issue and nicely patched up the unpleasant encounter. After that, the process was very smooth. Their workers tell us that their office is like family that is why most of them are happy and satisfied with their work. On top of that, we also got a good deal and discount with the price and the salesman, Allen, really helped us find a payment option that was affordable with our budget. Best of all, their warranty is lifetime (even the screen doors!) and I never have to worry about these windows and doors again in the future. I would highly recommend Weathergard to my friends and family since it is a worhty investment into your home.

My wife and I contracted with Weathergard in April to replace all the windows in our house -- we had 16 and I patio door. The sales representative came out, he showed us the windows and gave us a price. He did not pressure us like some of the other big companies out there (which I would rather not name...). After we signed with the guy from Weathergard, everything went as he said it would. They came back out a few days later to take final measurements and 3 weeks later they called us to set up an installation. We just got our windows installed last week and everything looks great. The started around 9am and the whole thing was done by 7PM. I was amazed at how hard they worked. They were neat and shop vacced everything. I look forward to lower energy bills...only time will tell. I will post a follow up next year after another heating season. But so far, so good, I would definitely recommend these guys.

Beware.. I purchased these windows 8 years ago. they are nice to look at. But the downside is they are easily broken into, from outside and without breaking the glass. Burglars have found away to from the outside of the windows use tools to break the locks and release those side latches on the windows too. My home was recently broken into this way, yes thru these windows glass intact, window locks were pried or broken, with some sort of tools they used, the police said they inserted a tool between the seal of the window sash and pried or broke the window lock. When i call the oak park mich office on 8 mile the male rep Dave was nasty when i requested repairs on their, advertised life time guaranteed windows. Beware.

Paid Weatherguard people $400 to test house before and after the windows were replaced with the benefit being $700+ from my utility. Needless to say we have not heard a word from Weatherguard or the utilty in over 5 months. I should have researched program more thoroughly. They leave a mess when they install and tell you to clean up. Measured a main window wrong so had to wait over 6 weeks without a window because they threw out the original. Their reason - "these things happen", from multiple sources. Also they harassed for final payment during their delay. I was very impressed with WeatherGard employees and windows. My husband and I had already received quotes from Wallside and Majic when the measurer/salesman from WeatherGard came to our home to give his quote. The salesman from WeatherGard was down to earth and real compared to the other companies. He listened to my concerns and spoke the truth. Chris Goulet and Chris Brackett, the men who installed our windows and sliders are the real reason why I am giving WeatherGard 5 stars. They took very good care of us! They covered our floors so they wouldn’t get ruined, replaced rotted wood around our windows, and vacuumed when they were done. Our windows look amazing from the inside and out.

A sales rep just left our home and the very first thing I did not like was that he walked in and did not introduce himself. If I had not set the appointment, I would not have known that he was from Weathergard because he never told me. His attitude was just bad. He even looked at my husband and I and asked if we even had the money to pay. I am assuming he asked because of the way our home looked. However we are in the process of getting it fixed up which is why we asked for the estimate in the first place. I am leaving out quite a few unpleasant details but to sum it up, it was not a good experience at all. We are going to take our money and go elsewhere.

Weathergard replaced our roof, and the experience was easy from start to finish. The salesperson took his time and explained everything and answered all our questions. The roofers were pleasant and did their job and the roof looks great. New everything, including flashing. The cleanup was wonderful, and people from the office called to make sure everything was alright. If you need a new roof, I would recommend Weathergard.

First impressions are everything. These folks had a booth at the Royal Oak art fair. I talked to them and set up an appointment for someone to come out and give an estimate for windows & siding. They handed me a card with the appointment time & date written on it. On the day of the appointment I left work, drove to meet them, waited an hour, but no one showed up and no one called. Total waste of my time.

The product is horrible. My wife and I had our house redone less than a year ago. We are now have our second leaking window. WeathGard says " it is not their windows". We never once had an issue with our old windows. It has been very disheartening how they have conducted their business. Needless to say my wife and I would never recommend this company to anyone!

Also told me he refused to sell me windows unless my fiance was present and couldnt even give presentation unless both of us were there! Apparently they didnt want to sell any windows!
