I was so impressed with the knowledge, professionalism and apparent integrity of the Field Supervisor, Gary McDonald, I made a decision to replace my 30+ old gas furnace & a/c with a Lennox Elite unit that has variable motor speeds & smart wireless thermostat on the spot (after investigating & "thinking about it" for over 3 years!) Timothy, the service technician, had been out to my place for a routine maintenance call. He expressed concerns about the deteriorating condition of my existing unit due to age (I was aware but American Home Shield kept authorizing "Band-Aid" repairs for past several years, so I stuck with it). Gary, his supervisor, was there on routine quality inspection. When I asked him, he presented options without pressuring me & patiently answered all my questions & concerns. Once I decided, he had his crew out to my house the NEXT DAY (no kidding!) All the guys were respectful of my house & newly planted gardens. Chris worked on replacing the inside unit & Edwin handled the outside unit, both with patience and efficient productivity. There were unexpected issues due to the age of the existing unit but they dealt with it in a professional manner & got it resolved. Eddie & Jason installed the required additional insulation at the same time...on a rainy Friday prior to Memorial Day holiday. Gary, as the supervisor, was available on site and responded to support his team throughout the day. They completed the job much sooner than expected and we were all able to begin our holiday preparations! I am glad I made this decision and chose this team of Service Experts...before I faced a crisis of no A/C on a hot Texas day! Gary continues to be available whenever I have any questions or concerns.
Our HVAC system went down and I did not know where to go for our service. I looked online and Calverely Service popped up immediately. I read the reviews and called them up. I was not disappointed at all. Jaime Gone was the tech who responded and he immediately went to work. He examined the unit and quickly determined the issue. He kept it pretty straight with me and gave me his recommendation. He called Aron Finn to the house to show me my options on a new unit. After discussing my options with both men, I decided to bite the bullet and get an entirely new system. Aron and Jaime stayed with me until I had the finances completed and walked me through the process regarding the new install. So not only did these two gentlemen show up in a timely manner, they answered all my questions and made sure I understood the process all the way through. Then came the install a day later and the crew of Eric, Kyle, Pedro, and Kiefer arrived and introduced themselves. They immediately went to work and made quick work of a complete install. They removed the old units and the furnaces then installed the new system within 8 hours. I was impressed and they made sure they did not make a mess and cleaned what little mess they made. It was a huge hit to the pocket book but I know it will be an investment which will pay off in the future. These guys were very open and helpful and I was completely comfortable throughout the process. I will keep Calverley Service Experts for my upkeep on this system and look forward to our continued partnership. Trust these guys for your heating and air conditioning needs, I am glad I did.
Calverley installed two new floor furnaces for us about three years ago. We have a pier and beam house with an adequate crawl space beneath, which they had to utilize to make the installation. The service was great and the techs were friendly. In September of this year, we called Calverley because the pilot would not light on one of the furnaces. They came out twice to look at our floor furnace. The first time they sent a young tech with no experience with our type of heater. We rescheduled and they sent out an experienced tech, but he was too elderly to go under the house. He left saying that Calverley would call and reschedule with us to send the right team to diagnose the problem. The manager at Calverley left us a message saying that we would need to dig a trench under the house before their techs could diagnose the problem. When we asked why a trench was needed to diagnose the problem when it was not needed to install the heaters, he would not budge from his assertion that they could not diagnose the repair until we dug the trench. The message we got from this interaction was that they were not interested in our business. So obviously we are no longer interested in theirs. The good guys at Complete Cool Air gladly came out and diagnosed the problem, ordered the part that was needed, and made the repair.
I wanted to update my 1 star review. I was contacted by the company soon after I posted my review. My initial call to them was for a quote on air duct cleaning, a service which this company does not provide which I had no clue about! Nor did the customer service reps that scheduled my 2 initial appointments had any idea about the fact that their company does not offer this service. After speaking to one of the managers at the company, a technician was sent out a few days later to my house. From my conversation with the manager, I thought the technician was going to do the air duct cleaning, which was the purpose of my initial 2 calls, but apparently I guess I was mistaken! When the technician came to my house he said he was sent for free system check up. I asked him if he would be doing the air duct cleaning and he said, "you need special license to do that job". Nevertheless, the technician, Abdel #169, was a nice, very professional, and helpful guy. I guess, next time I need to start writing down what I am being told over the phone to save myself the headache! But, I do appreciate the fact that the company reached out to me INSTANTLY after I posted the review to follow up about my experience.
I have used this company for a number of years, and last January Kelly noticed I had a bad heat exchanger so I bought an entire new system, paying $8,125.00 for it. There were a few problems due to the installation that had to be addressed, then I thought all was fine, and I am happy with the new Lennox premium system. On this Thanksgiving we had torrential rain, and the flue leaked; this in my opinion is another thing overlooked in the installation. Today Tim Gray and a new employee were here for my tune-up, and Tim went on the roof to see what the problem is, and it seems that since my house is old, the size of the flue connection to the indoor unit does not match, and he said Calverley would charge us $350.00 to fix it. My husband and I simply do not have the funds to pay for this at this time, so I pray it does not rain like that any time soon. As for the tune-up on the unit itself, all went well and was handled very professionally and I am satisfied with both Tim and the other gentleman. I would recommend Tim and may ask for him to do my next tune-up since Kelly is no longer with your company. In the past I always requested Kelly.
My problem was our upper conditioner was not cooling and the outside compressor was surrounded with ice. I went up in the attic and determined the blower was not working. Called Calverley Friday and made an appointment for Saturday am to come out. When the tech came, he went up with me and wiggled the circuit board and the blower came on. I was glad it was not going to be a blower motor repair. He said the board was shorted (relay sparked) and board repair could be around $1,000.00. Told him to call next week for a price, when he left I cleaned the board with compressed air and it works now. Calverley call today and said repair would be $1,000. I can find the board on several websites for between $110-265 and install it myself. 1 star is given for the tech coming out and identifying the problem with the circuit board shorting out and not turning on the blower... worth the $90.00 service call. 4 empty is for the horrific mark up and price quote for this repair job. Another company will do the job for $425 installed. I will not be calling Calverley back for support.
Calverley recently (Nov 2016) installed a new heat pump system into our home. I researched for quite some time and haggled back and forth with Craig (sales guy). He was very knowledgeable and fair. We eventually settled on a unit and a price that I was the best I could get anywhere! Nathan and Jason did the install, they were great and really know their stuff. We ran into a bit of a problem as the new air handler was significantly larger than the old one and was a very tight fit for my interior closet. The guys were able to work around the problem and get the job done with no extra charge. They completed the install and cleaned everything up in around 8 hours total. Props to their tech Forrest as well. I called a few weeks after install complaining that the new system kept tripping my breaker. Turned out the problem was unrelated, but he came out and checked everything out for me. Really went above and beyond his HVAC role to diagnose the problem for me. Would highly recommend Calverley to anyone.
Mr.Nathan and Mr.Chris who installed a full A.C system today, It took them about 5 and half hours to do so. They were both very Professional and I could tell they represented Calverley with very qualified Technical abilities and skills. I will and would refer Calverley to anyone who is not only looking for a good name brand like LENNOX brand names, but also sent out a very qualified business representative, by the name of Mr.Doug Green. I am truly satisfied with the courtesy they all three took to provide me with rare service, that is difficult to come by in todays time. THANK YOU, NATHAN, CHRIS AND MR.GREEN. In my opinion I would NOT let calverley ANYWHERE near my A/C units. Called them out for a routine checkup( (a/c working fine) was told by technician both units had multiple issues and freon was almost empty, recommended getting two new units, when he directed me to other technician in the other calverley van who could "conveniently" help me with that. Long story short we got a second opinion who took us through all his findings, showed us actual reading etc and assured us that there was nothing wrong with our units and was disgusted at what we had been told by calverley. Spoke to manager Rick probably one of the rudest people I have ever spoke to in my life. Who said and I quote "he was sick of people phoning him and complaining about his service technicians" WOW!!! What does that tell you folks!
On 10/05/2016 I had a complete system install by Nathan and Jason with Calverley Service Experts. First of all both gentlemen were very professional and respectful and I have piece of mind that my HVAC system was installed correctly. It was clear that they both were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions clearly and thoroughly. Last but certainly not least, they cleaned up after the job was complete and left no visible indication that they had been here. To benefit consumers that follow me in investing in whatever service or product I am sincere when I write reviews. Based on my experience, I would not have any hesitation whatsoever in recommending Calverley and suggest that you ask for Nathan and Jason to complete your installation.
I had to have an emergency installation of a complete HVAC system. Calverley Service Experts responded to my emergency immediately and within 48 hours I had a brand new system up and running....and cooling. The installers, Nathan & TJ, arrived on time (actually a little earlier than scheduled) and proceeded to remedy my situation in a quick and efficient manner. At the end of the day the old system was removed, the new system was in and all areas of the house involved in the installation were left clean and free of all residual materials. I would recommend Calverley Service Experts if you are interested in a first-rate job dealing with all aspects of heating and cooling equipment.
Jamal came out for our semi-annual service and discovered that we needed a new system. This was our first time to meet him and he was as professional and personable as all of the Calverley service reps that have been to our home. Craig came out and helped us make a decision on the right system for our home and then got us on the schedule. We have used Calverley for 7 years, since being literally saved from Comfort Experts, the most inept and dishonest company I have ever experienced. We have developed an appreciation and trust with and for Calverley Service Experts. Thanks for being a company that can be trusted!
