We filed the claim: roof leaked in the attached garage and A/C unit got mold, start leaking, ceiling in the first floor got water damage, 3 A/C ducts had water leaks. After few days mold smell star got really bad. We hired a contractor to start repair the damages, re-paint t all house, clean A/C unit ducts, clean the floor, etc. After that we had to put all furniture in the trash because the mattresses and other leather furniture star to smell mold. The company "Stanley Steamer" who clean my ducts the entire house told me that I need to replace the A/C unit because mold could be inside the Air Handler. When inspector came, we show to her all invoices, pictures, she was in the house almost half a day to take a pictures, ask a questions, made a drawings, etc. After she sent a report to Tower Hill Insurance, they send another inspector to check a mold in A/C unit, after the report shows that mold was on the wall and inside the A/C unit, the adjuster called and said that the unit was too old and they will deduct 25% from the estimate we had from the contractor and after that they also deduct $2500 from the policy we practically get nothing. Claim was totally denied because they wanted to send their contractors, to do the job ( to lower the cost) so we had to wait and stay in home full of mold, breath bad air until repair will be done. Total reap off. They are fine to take a money but forget to pay a claim when you really need it. After that the adjuster Eric Anderson still said ( very arrogant) that they need to proof that we will replace A/C and not put money in the pocket. We will complain in BBB and then file with the Insurance Commissioner of Florida. If you fine paying but expect no actual service this the company you better avoid. Stay away from that company!!!
This company insures the home of Paul Clayton and myself in Jacksonville FL. Our home sustained heavy damage from hurricane Matthew. After telling us we would be back in our home in 3 - 4 months, it has been SIX months, and our house still looks like a demolition zone. No floors, holes in the drywall, ceilings still a mess, electrical work not done, restoration of the master bathroom not even begun, including plumbing, electrical work, tile work, and especially replacement of the CUSTOM MARBLE JACUZZI BATHTUB, which Tower Hill seems to think is replaceable with an ACRYLIC (plastic) tub! Think, $6000. compared to $1200. For six months we have gone round and round with the company to no avail. Today, I will try once more, but confidence is not high that any good will come of it. I have spoken to three neighbors who also have Tower Hill and all are having the same nightmare experience that my family is having. We cannot recommend this company for anyone living in Jacksonville, FL !!!
ME: First time home buyer: DO NOT USE THIS INSURANCE COMPANY! I thought this was a great company, was a proud first time home owner, some paper work was not correctly filed, not on my end. My roof has over 22 years of life expectancy, I was dropped due to lack of information on part of a paper issue that this company did not follow up on with roof in subject. Less then a month later my house suffered water damage that cost $6,500.00 out of pocket! Do your self and family a favor, do your home work, research your insurance company, this company is quick to take your money, then leave you high and dry.....or in my case moldy and wet. I REPEAT DO NOT USE TOWER HILL!!!!! I can not stress how much this company was not there for my family and my self, you have been warned! Use at your own risk!
A lot of bad faith. After aquiring some water damage, and waiting on hold for about 5 minutes while my policy was checked I was assured when i called in to Tower Hill that I was covered. I immediately called a recovery team to start cleanup and repairs. The next day I was phones by my adjuster and told there is an exemption that i was not covered. I asked them to help with at least the cost of the recovery team as I would have shopped around and done most of the world myself to save a buck. The adjuster told me phone calls are recorded and they will check. She replied minutes later saying that I was never told that I was covered in the call and I was not allowed to hear the recording. How convenient. Thanks Ms. Norton.
I have had Tower Hill for the last 6 years for my homeowners insurance based on the recommendation of my independent agent, Michael Himmel at McGinniss Himmel Insurance Agency. The rates have been consistent over this time. There have been minor increases, but nothing significant. I have luckily not had to file a claim during this time, but my father did. Since we both have Tower Hill I monitored his claim closely. I wanted to make sure that they were responsive and fair during the process. My father could not have been happier during his process. Based on the way they handled my father’s claim I will be a Tower Hill insured for life.
On my 2nd year with Tower Hill I received a cancellation letter because I have a dog, a Shitzu mix with 12 lbs, and a trampoline on my back yard. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! (Apparently Tower Hill went to my house without notification to complete their inspection. At least we were not notified) It seems that Tower Hill Insurance wants my kids playing video games or watching TV only, instead of enjoying the outdoors and keeping them active and healthy by doing outdoor activities. Not good Tower Hill, not a great example of insurance for parents that do try to keep their kids active and healthy.
In 41 years of having had insurance with any company had I ever been contacted by them. Since switching to your company have been pleasantly surprised by the caring and concern that your company has for those of us that are your insured. Prior to the approaching hurricane I was contacted and told in advance on how to file a claim and whom to contact for repairs if I did need to avail myself of those necessities. Fortunately we had no damage, but it was refreshing to think that your company is ready to help if that need ever arose.
I was approached by an insurance broker tempting me with an "example quote" for the renewal of my home insurance. I was suspicious that the quote was not real as it was only just a little over 50% of my current premium. However when I asked for a specific quote the figure was confirmed. I am so annoyed that for so many years I had been over paying with my previous insurer. The transfer from my old insurer to Tower Hill was smooth and easy and I now look forward to more competitive premiums with Tower Hill in the future.
Tower Hill Insurance was the WORST insurance company I even had! Their service is terrible. I have left messages regarding to my claims to manager and claim supervisor four times and they did not return my calls . It has been 9 days as of today, and I still yet to receive a call back. They have mishandled my claims and they are not owning to their mistakes, and now not returning any calls. This is totally unacceptable. I would not recommend using this insurance company to anyone.
After years with Tower Hill in several properties and no claims, Tower Hill cancelled our policy because we relocated and listed our home for sale that they were insuring. No communication thanking us for years of premiums with no claims, no customer service contact simply a cancelation form letter. Read the reviews prior to doing business with this co.

They will cover and pay out claims, however, you will also get dropped for making a claim. We filed a claim for some damage to our house and were dropped. When we tried to discuss this issue with them, they were totally unsympathetic and cold. So, go ahead and get insurance from TH, just as long as you know that they drop clients quickly.
I switched to Tower Hill for a better rate on the recommendation of my insurance agent. Then about 2 years later the worst happened...a leak in my bathroom. I filed the claim and the representative treated me with respect and worked with my contractor to make the repairs. I would say Tower Hill is a first rate company.
Very poor claims handling. Adjuster made decision on the claim without even contacting me to discuss the details.I realize the overwhelming amount of claims coming in due to the hurricane, but that does not excuse poor service and rudeness from claims reps. Will be looking to replace our coverage at the next renewal.
This is my first house and therefore the first time submitting a claim through my Tower Hill homeowners insurance company. It was awesome; they were friendly and helpful processing my claim. I thought when I chose them, at the time, that they were a stellar company and am now convinced I made the right choice. Bravo!
Working thru Culbertson agency in Naples, obtaining the insurance, paperwork filing, getting required inspections (4-point & wind), anything which might otherwise have been bureaucratic/paperwork issues , etc. was easy, fast, non-invasive of privacy, and generally a seamless and painless experience.
Hi i had tower hill for years. This year is the first to file a claim. (Hurricane irma). Been waiting for an adjuster. Everytime i call i get an answer of : "we r not sure when the adjuster will be coming to your property " still waiting. Fence is broken and leak in the roof.
Very unhappy with Tower Hills at this point in time. My parents bought an expensive policy to protect against mold etc. Sure enough, they have had a mold incident and the agency is communicating that the claim is likely going to be denied! Complete disappointment.
These guys are top notch. I have them for my homeowners insurance. I also am a partner in an insurance agency and we always recommend them to our customers. I have been with them for many, many years (even before I began working in the insurance industry).
I had a wonderful experience with the agent whom assisted me with finding this policy through Tower Hill. Glenn Broom in Bartow, FL went above and beyond. I am thankful for his assistance. I would highly recommend Glenn Broom Allstate agency in Bartow, FL.
I wish I could grade them lower but it is not possible, stay away... They raise you policy without notice and when you finally notice is when the mortgage company tells you your escrow account is short. Shady, unethical and deceitful company. STAY AWAY
First time with Tower Insurance. I worked with a local Insurance company who helped me get Tower Insurance. After reviewing a number of quotes from other companies, so far I am satisfied with coverage and fair price offered by Tower Insurance Company.
Had a bad experience in 2011, when my home was hit by a tornado. Used their contractor who was 100+ miles away. Shoty work and I just found out my aluminum patio which was replaced is made from tin, painted brown and rusting! Very disappointed!
Very uncooperative have been trying to get info for my claim forthree months no returing of my telephone calls they wont even give my insuance agent any info. Just leave messages which they never reply to. Next step is to sue them.
Tower hill insurance group thankyou for taking the time to accept our recently purchased home .philip our agent very professional we really appreciate the way he explained the coverage that we purchased from Tower hill.thanks again
Filed a claim and was told that the damage was man made. They sent a claims adjuster and an engineer to check the claim. Seems like they spend more money and time finding ways out of paying claims the taking care of their clients.
I have never filed a claim. Yet rates seem to increase 9-14% each year. I will be dropping them this year. Rates are out of control. Myself as a consumer shall not be taken due to reinsurance issues on the companies behalf.
Had a claim for a leaking AC 2 years into our policy. $30k water damage - handled very quickly, no fuss, just got our premium for the upcoming year and only a 10% increase in our premium which I think is very reasonable.
How wonderful to have the force of Mother Nature give me a new roof! I never imagined such a thing. If you have had roof damage due to Mother Nature, its worth it to find out through a reputable roofing company.
I am very pleased with my experience with Tower Hill Insurance. It is a great local company and I wish them all the best in the future, as well as the agent Morse Insurance Agency of Longwood, Florida.
Why my premium is increased 300 $ without any prior information. I have never used home insurance and always paid on time. Is it normal to increase premium without any explanation or telling ahead?
