I had Betlam come out and do a furnace cleaning . The Service Technician came out and explained everything he was doing, He found that I was using a more expensive air filter, and then explained how despite that filters rating, it was actually costing me MORE in heat/cooling. This was due to the smaller holes that the air had to pass through, as this was making the furnace work harder. . He also noted that these filters are not that much more efficient in removing dust than a standard filter. During this discussion, the topic of a home energy audit came up. This was a service that Betlam provided through a NYS program. Dan , the Energy Auditor , came out the following week and performed the audit. During this evaluation, I came to find out some problem areas behind one of my walls, and in my attic that could be solved with blown insulation. I highly recommend using Betlam - I was impressed with how they handled my cleaning and audit, and would recommend Betlam to anyone.

I called Betlem Residential this spring to get an estimate on the installation of a central air conditioning system for my modest cape style home. I had used a window unit for a few years - it was on its last legs. Eric St. John from Betlem came out and explained the details about the various air conditioning units and the financing options. I also got a quote from another HVAC company. The prices were about the same. I made the decision to go with Betlem and I selected an air condioning system that fits my needs. The technician was nice, the installation went smoothly and he did not leave my home a mess. I really love that my entire home is air conditioned-not just my bedroom. I would recommend them to anyone.

My water heater was not producing hot water. I called Betelm and they told me they would be at my house that day! I was told to expect a service technician between 2-6 pm. Within 30 minutes a tech by the name of Mark was at my door. I explained my water heater pilot was out. In less than 5 minutes he diagnosed a leak in my hot water tank. Just by him coming quickly a minor flood was avoided! After explaining that I needed a new hot water tank, he made a call and within an hour I had a new tank, and most importantly no flood! Extremely satisfied with the work done by Betlem at my home. After a full home energy audit, they provided a list of options to improve the energy efficiency. I opted to have the basement rim joist insulated with spray foam and adding another 12" of insulation to the attic. All of the work was done in a very timely manner and everything was cleaned up when work was completed. The improvement in the comfort level is very noticeable. I highly recommend Betlem to anyone considering having this type of work done in their home.

I recently had BETLEM Residential Heating & Air Conditioning install a Lennox Minsplit 2 ton heat pump/AC. I was very pleased with the entire process from design, proposal to installation. Steve Gaudioso was able to provide a design that optimized the location of indoor and outdoor units while overcoming a couple of unique installation obstacles. We had to make a decision when are old AC unit finally failed. It took my wife and I only minutes after Eric (salesrep) left are house to make the decision to go with them. I have a oil furnace that is in dire need of a tune up and cleaning. Even though it was a mild winter I was facing a serious oil bills.
