Using the total phone for this purchase is always an awakening experience. Having been a P&C agent for many years in FL, I know that as hard as we try there are those who we are unable to communicate on the phone. I have myself told the folks that if they stop complaining and give me the real facts I can try tp help them but when one wants to continue to scream at you, you can not help them. Patience is not a virtue of all but when you deal on the phone one must remember that the other party my have a different dialect of the English language that is spoken in your area. This is a biggie. Also be prepared to pay for the policy if you want what was offered. No money no coverage, thus if you paid nothing at the end of your phone call, you have nothing as in NO INSURANCE. Always remember, if you do not understand the person on the other side of the line, they are probably having a hard time interpreting you. Enough said. this is a great program. Thanks you AARP

I would rather go out of business than use The Hartford for insurance. With a CEO making upwards of $4 Million a year and over $7.5 Million in Stock options in 2012, they feel they are to big to talk to small business vertical clients on a realistic level. After 2 years and tens of thousands of dollars in workers comp. with NO loss runs, they were unable to comply with an increase in insurance coverage that our company needed and then billed us an additional $1,800 for canceling because we were forced to switch companies. With a company that has experienced over 60% growth for 4 years in a row, I certainly will not be doing business with them in the future. Very bad business decision on their part in my opinion.

My company uses The Hartford for their disability insurance. This company uses delay and deny tactics. They do not honor their claims. I had to get my doctors information notarized and get the fax receipts notarized for them to admit that they even received the. Dealing with them as been an absolute nightmare. They will lie, and minimize your condition. They lie about faxing your doctor documentation and they lie about having received it. They omit information from their reports. They operate in Bad Faith. They prey on people who are sick and ill and are least able to fight. Worst insurance company I ever dealt with.

My girlfriend owned a store in albion ny that had cought fire this insurance company dragged not only her but dragged the both of us through the legal systms costing her and i thousands and thousands... We were both found not guilty of the crimes they alleged.... Still its three years later and they still wont pay her her claim even though its not alot of money... Is this the kind of company you want to put your faith and trust in too????? This company is a complete scam and will take you to the cleaners then feed you to the wolfs with no mercy!!!! Still have lawers to this day battleing these scammers!!!!

ABSOLUTE WORST INSURANCE COMPANY I HAVE EVER HAD !!! I FOUND AUTO INS FOR LESS & MORE COVERAGE ( 125.00 mo ) COMPARED TO THE 283.00 HARTFORD HAS BEEN CHARGING ME. I CALLED A WEEK IN ADVANCE TO CANCEL MY POLICY, AND THE AGENT DIANE COULD NOT OF BEEN ANY MORE RUDE I WAS CANCELING. NO THANK YOU FOR MY YEARS OF BUSINESS......JUST FLAT OUT SHORT & NASTY. FOUND OUT DIANE ALLOWED FOR ANOTHER PREMIUM TO BE REMOVED FROM MY BANK, AND OF COURSE IT WILL TAKE A WEEK TO GET MY REFUND !!!!! Between a 24 hour period, I spoke to at least 4 customer service representatives-- some briefly and others lengthy, and what a wonderful experience it was. I felt like they were my friends! Time is money, but I was never rushed or dismissed as they were so patient with my many questions, relating to 2 new policies that I was purchasing. I also appreciate that I spoke to individuals here in the US and not overseas. We all were on the same page and THANK YOU THE HARTFORD! As a former corporate recruiter, you do have the best and the brightest representing your company! Keep up the good work!!!

I have loved the Hartford since we signed all our insurance needs over to them. We saved so much money over our previous carriers. But I just added a new vehicle yesterday. It was not allowed to be added to my current policy for some reason and therefore, it took quite a while to get the coverage started. The agent was very helpful and I would give her a 10. But all of a sudden the amount of the premiums has increased dramatically. So, I am still very happy. Just not as happy with the cost as I was when we first switched.

My traditionally low auto insurance co. raised my rates recently to what I felt was a ridiculous level, with little reason. I had been with them for many years, but I decided to shop elsewhere. Luckily, someone recommended The Hartford. As an AARP member, they were able to significantly beat the other rates, for the identical coverage. The Hartford agent was excellent in helping me to understand the different insurance criteria. I really appreciated their guidance and am currently very happy with my decision to switch.

I signed up for care insurance over the phone, had a great experience with the person who provided all the information. She was patient, answered all my questions, reviewed all the information 150% so I could be sure of all the details. The rate was the lowest I could find. I moved to FLA and my current insurance would not transfer or write the policy in FLA. They sign up process is easy, efficient and their website is user friendly and provides all the information online.

I was assisted by Sholonda and she was extremely patient and took well over 1-1/2 hours talking with me to customize our homeowners contract. The representative I spoke with knew how to help me, customized the policies for my needs and got the ball rolling right away. Within an hour I had all the information I needed including my policies and insurance cards. Wow, wow, wow. I am impressed. Oh did I mention she saved me hundreds of dollars over what I am currently paying and also upgraded my home owners insurance.

What horrible service!! My husband got in an accident about two months ago and we are still fighting with the insurance company. Even though the car and the insurance policy are in both our names, I was told by a very rude "Kim" that she would not talk about the claim with me, only my husband. When this is over and the policy is up for renewal I will go someplace else!!

The process was easy and efficient, though I got penalized for paying a parking incident out of pocket, it still counts against my record and so does when I needed help with getting the motor to start, batterie was dead, so two counts against a good rate which then was better that I paid before but not as enticing as it was after the quote

Twice I have paid my business policy in full, the premium comes out of my accout then is reversed, in July and Sept 2013. There are sufficent funds in my account to cover my premiums. Now they are charging me a late fee of 10.00. I have not had a claim. The Hardford will not accept my money??? It is a Harford mystery.

Just recently an elderly women with Hartford auto insurance rear ended my vehicle. The Hartford rep that called me was MIKE FARSON. He was very rude and unprofessional. I called his supervisor and he was the same way! Both men should be fired! If I had a choice I would not go to Hartford for ANYTHING!

As a workplace it is one of the best that I have seen. The campus is quite big and neat with lots of greens. The older buildings are more historical than the newer ones. The parking is more than enough to cover all the employees. The cafeteria sections are top class and all the employees are friendly.

The Hartford Insurance Company turned me down for long term disability coverage because I had carpal tunnel surgery. I hardly think a common surgery on my wrist is a good reason for not allowing me to have LTD insurance. What a bunch of idiots.
