During a routine maintenance call, I was told that my 11 year old system needed a new coil and the they had to put in 4.1 lbs of Freon in the old A/C unit. I thought that was strange because the system was cooling just fine. The serviceman said it is a slow leak and keeping up with cooling because it was November heat and not August heat. After discussing, I did not want to put any money into repairing an 11 year old system so I purchased a 5-ton, 2-stage Carrier A/C and Heat system. They gave me a credit for the work that was done on the old unit (Freon and new capacitor). The installers, Travis and Juan, were great. They knew what they were doing and were very considerate and treated my home like it was their own. They had to install the circulator in the garage attic, with access via a pull-down stairway. No problems at all. They replaced the old thermostat with a back-lit, digital, programmable and provided detailed instructions on how to use it. They had to remove the old concrete pad and replace it with a larger pad. Again, everything went smoothly. They did the permits and registered the unit with Carrier to activate the warranty. They gave me documentation for the rebates and tax credits. Following the installation, Alberto came to my home to check the installation and measure for a year supply of filters. The filters arrived in about 5 days. Alberto returned in 10-days to check that the A/C and heat element were working properly. He also presented me with the permits and made the appointment for the city inspection. From start to finish, everyone was competent and polite and very thorough. I would recommend them to anyone and in fact, will continue to use Lindstrom for maintenance of the new equipment.
We needed a new A/C unit to replace our old A/C unit. After receiving 5 estimates from separate companies we decided to go with Lindstrom. They installed a 4 ton Carrie system with a 2 stage compressor. Though other companies had less expensive estimates the salesmen Steve took the time to explain all of the options we had. Steve went into the attic and crawled from one side of the house to another. Some of the other companies salesmen never even looked at our old system or bothered to check the ducts in the attic. The installer Travis arrived on time as scheduled, he and his helper were extremely polite and courteous. The installation was hassle free and when they were done they cleaned up and you would never know they were there. The quality control inspector Al was very knowledgeable, he was he inspected the job during the installation. Al returned 30 days later to do a follow up quality inspection and to make sure the system was operating at the correct level. The entire experience with Lindstrom has been hassle free. I will be a life long Lindstrom customer because of the treatment I received from all of their employees. Lets be honest any company can install and manufactures system that you ask. Its the people in the company that make the difference and Lindstrom has some of the finest, especially Steve,Travis and Al. Thank You
I purchased a new AC in April 2015, It has stopped working 2x in the last 4 months because of a drain line problem. The GOOD NEWS is that the technician that came out fixed the problem quickly. I have asked why this is happening, as my LAST AC unit never had a drain line problem in 12 years!!!! The BAD NEWS is that the technician said that this might continue to happen. I had a follow up visit by one of the Field Managers, after I contacted the service department (Great follow up). He checked the drain line again (which was fine) and took the time to explain that the newer AC units were more efficient at removing moisture, and therefore had the potential of "gunking" up more easily. He then explained that when I replace the filter (monthly), just to pour a shotglass or 2 of white vinegar into the drain line, let it sit for 15 minutes, and then follow with a couple of cups of hot water, and that will prevent the "gunk" from building up. I am very impressed that the service department took ownership of my issue and performed well at addressing my concerns. Thanks Lindstrom for being the company that I hoped you would be.
We are under a service agreement with Lindstrom, with regular scheduled visits. Tonight we found out how worthless this agreement is. Here it is, Sunday night, we finally got through on their phone (after 45 minutes wait), our A/C unit is not working, and their dispatch told us they are busy tonight and the earliest they could send someone to fix our broken A/C unit, would be Wednesday. This is despite they advertise 24/7 service on their website, and their emergency information they labeled on our A/C unit: 24 Hours a Day / 7 Days a week Our Call Center is staffed around the clock Service Department NEVER closes We had to call another service, who luckily was happy to get our business, and most importantly, help us out. UPDATE: We talked with Lindstrom on Monday, they were still not willing to come out until maybe Tuesday or Wednesday. Not good enough. As a customer under contract we were to have priority. It was 90 degrees and a broken A/C for 2 to 3 days was just not an option. Another company came out promptly at 10 on Monday and fixed the problem.
Lindstrom sold and installed a top of the line AC system to me 6 months ago after another company said we needed new unit and ducts. Lindstrom assured us just the unit should be replaced. Since then, no less than 10 service calls: multiple drainage leaks, a ruined garage ceiling, blown fuse burning hole in piping, needed to do new ducting after all, etc. The customer service is atrocious. They schedule you three days out as you are sweltering. No manager ever follows up. Only time next day appointments happen is when you call in favors to your sales person. Today someone came and "fixed" it after just that. Broke again within an hour and now no appointments for three more days. Mike said he got me on list for tonight at 730p it is 2am no one came. I was either sold a lemon or the installation was so incompetent it never had a chance. And do not comment, "call the customer service manager " as that will accomplish nothing.
Yesterday I had my 6 month inspection done on my A/C unit. I was very pleased with the service Mark provided in making sure the air conditioner would continue working as it had been. There were a couple of issues that needed attention. I was aware of one that had to do with the mold on unit in the attic. The other had to do with the outside motor needing attention that was preventative in nature. At no time was I ever pressured into having ANY work done. I was, however, informed of the pros and cons of having the work done. I decided to go ahead with his suggestion. Being a top notch operation you have a serviceman who had all necessary parts on his truck. The work was completed in the time promised and you have one more happy customer. I could not have had more professional, knowledgeable, and courteous service.
Larry was very professional and knowledgeable. He introduced himself when I answered the door and went right to work. He diagnosed the problem within 30 minutes (turns out we had two problems one mechanical and one electrical). He fixed the mechanical problem and ordered the part (thermostat) for the main problem. He also noticed that the UV light tubes were hazy. When we looked at the installation date (two years before) he recommended replacement which we did. I watched him as he went through the troubleshooting checklist. I could see he was very well trained. He was also exceptionally personable. I have had this unit for 5 years. He is representative of all the Lindstrom techs who has serviced and maintained the system during that time. I would recommend Lindsrtom to anyone.
I will probably LOVE it when the problems are fixed. I had a new system installed last week and I have to say that the response from the service department has been outstanding. I like the fact that you get to speak with a human being with each and every call. I explained a problem with the unit and they sent out a service repairman on Sunday afternoon. Impressive! Able was professional and listened to my concerns. Another interesting fact about all of the installers and service men, they put on shoe covers every time they enter your home. IF they leave and return 10 times they take off the covers and put them back on every time. I am expecting a return from the installers in a few minutes. If it goes as well as I hope it does, I will write another review
My AC is just 2 years old and was installed by Air Around the Clock. Since install, the AC cooling performance was poor. Always struggled to cool and my elec bill was starting to get higher. ATC kept saying its ok. I called Lindstrom for their opinion. Even though it took 3 days for Lindstrom to come out, They were very courteous over the phone and their Tech, Paulo, was highly knowledgeable and took his time to discover what was really wrong. A very small leak was detected and fixed. He was up front about the bill before any work took place. They are also very pricey but their professionalism, warranty and attention to detail is outstanding. I signed up for their maintenance plan and I would not hesitate to recommend Lindstrom to a friend or colleague.
Lindstrom Air Conditioning Service is the ABSOLUTE BEST !! We had our 13 y/o AC unit replaced in March 2016 and the staff worked continuously for the entire day removing the old equipment & installing the new. I have never seen a group of individuals work so efficiently with the dedication that I witnessed that day. Today (11/5/16) we had maintenance service to the AC which was performed by Trung Tran, who was amazing. He introduced himself, completed the maintenance and provided us with a solution for cleaner air. He is definitely an excellent representative for the Lindstrom Company. We want to request Trung Tran for all of our future services. Thank you for providing such great quality service & staff!!
My mother purchased a unit from Lindstrom only a year and a half ago. Since then, there have been multiple service calls and they have had to replace a coil. The unit broke again last night and they kept my mother up until 2 am and STILL had to order parts. When I spoke with them today and asked them about a replacement unit, the office manager, Andre, basically told me it is not their problem and we have to take it up with Carrier. I asked if they are going to go to bat for their customer and was basically blown off. GO WITH A DIFFERENT COMPANY. THIS ONE DOES NOT SEEM TO CARE ABOUT ITS CLIENTS AND WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THE PRODUCTS FOR WHICH THEY OVERCHARGE THEIR CUSTOMERS.
Mr. Clive Williams responded to an issue I thought I was having with my air handler. He took the covers off the unit and fully explained and showed me that the coils in the air handler were clean and what I was looking at was a bit of rust on the frame. He then proceeded to vacuum the drain and fully inspected the compressor. He noted a higher than usual amperage rating, and so noted in his report as something to keep a watch on. Mr. Williams professional manner and expertise is what deservedly give Lindstrom their fine reputation in the AC business. I wish Lindstrom and Mr. Williams well, and hope to see him again on my next scheduled maintenance visit.
I have never regretted purchasing 2 new central air units from Lindstrom Air. Their attention to detail and a neat job complete with cleanup is their trademark. The service technician (Mr. Tran) is very knowledgeable and neat in his work. Mr. Tran is definitely a major asset to the Lindstrom Organization. He knows exactly what to do and how to go about it. At all times he is courteous and respectful to the customer. I highly recommend Lindstrom Air Conditioning to all. I am living in this house for 30 years, have used other firms for service in the past, and regretted. Lindstrom and their associates are a pleasure to work with.
Our A/C was not working so I called Lindstrom. we also have a maintenance agreement with Lindstrom. They were very responsive as usual. They could not have anyone come out the day I called them but an appointment was scheduled on first call. The area that bothers me is they charged a diagnostic charge plus the fee to install the part. In my opinion when they are getting the okay to do the repair, they should not charge the diagnostic fee on top of the installation fee. Replacement of the part was completed as promised. Kudos to the young ladies in the office that schedule and inform you when the servicemen are on the way.
