My husband and I are into our 4th year living in Avalon. One of the main reasons for coming here is that we didn’t want to be bothered with upkeeping and maintaining a private residence. Avalon’s outstanding, knowledgeable maintenance crew managed by Ashley and headed by Troy does just that for us. No matter if it’s an appliance problem or a burned-out light bulb, help is but a phone call away and problem fixed in no time flat. Actually, in the 3+ years that we’ve been here, there hasn’t been any major problems at all, because fire alarms, sprinklers, pipes, etc. are routinely inspected anyway. Furthermore, for any concerns other than maintenance, the friendly, personable, front office personnel – Jenni, Megan, etc. -- is always ready to listen and take care of whatever. Thanks, Avalon, for making it possible for us to live hassle-free, with peace of mind.

I have been living in avalon for almost 5 years now and there are definitely good reasons for it. Apart from obvious advantages such as walking distance to bart, grocery store , the part where I am usually impressed is that every apartment looks new. The design suits perfect for everyone. In case of any repairs, fix is almost done immediately making you forget if there was any problem in the first place. The leasing office folks are very kind and living there for a long time now I must say they are always accommodating to your requests. Jenny over there always remembers my name in such a big housing apartment community is one of the example of good customer service. Thank you Avalon for making my stay as comfortable as it should be and I want to say I am totally spoilt by all the comforts here.

I have lived at these apartments since they were first built. I love it here! But I really have to give as many stars possible to Carrie, the maintenance supervisor! Since she has been at this property, everything just gets done! She has made so many improvements that have really been noticed! The maintenance team definitely goes above and beyond for us residents! The office team is wonderful too- very friendly and attentive to needs. This community is a great place to live, which is why I have signed a lease for my 7th year!

Moved a week back into this community and would say, not all apartments are thoroughly checked before they put it on the website for new lease.Avoid apartments near to Trash dumping area. Check Carpet condition before moving in. Swimming pool etiquette not followed by all residents, so need more monitoring. Apartments are very expensive so be a bit careful before choosing the right one to enjoy the stay with all the amenities.

Lived here for a year. The hallways stink, the trash chutes are frequently jammed, and the parking structure is poorly secured. Got a car stolen in the span of a week. Nice walkable shopping and transit, and the staff are lovely, but the place needs work that it is not receiving despite clear and frequent requests from many residents. Something to consider.

Staff is absolutely amazing!!! Service requests and maintenance work is always done in a timely manner and the community is always nice and clean. I see how hard they work around the community every day. They go above and beyond for their residents here and I truly appreciate it. Thank you so much for everything Avalon Union City!

Best apartment complex in Union City hands down! Highlights beyond the norm...in unit washer/dryer, badge security access, garage parking, heated pool, outside kitchen with 3 grills, and a really nice gym! Oh by the way staff in the management office is always super helpful and accommodating!

Good experience so far. I moved last week and the apartments seem to be nice and clean. Very convenient for commuters to the city. Safeway and the major stores are closeby. The on site manager, Jean is very friendly and a kind person. Very accomodating and helpful.

My refrigerator was not working, But Maintenance staff Kevin was here, he fixed it within ten minutes. He is always awesome. I appreciate to all maintenance staff here. They are so great all, they come within 24 hours and fix the problem. Thank you.

Trash rooms and walkway now are very clean. I feel safe at community and walk hallways for exercise. Very quiet. Also maintenance is very good. Every time they come to the house they do something really nice also office staff is very good.

Maintenance guy was able to help with replacing the loose cover of the kitchen light. However he came 20 mins after the appointment. Would give a five star if he was on time.

Nice apartment for a super expensive rent. Please expect $200-$400 raise in rent if you wish to renew the lease.
