My first home buyer experience with Coastal Lending Group was outstanding from day 1. I had been in between lenders for over year while searching for my first new home. It was a very challenging process, but my lender Carmen made me feel like it was a piece of cake.. He never gave up on me, he stayed on top of thins like making deadlines, and most importantly he remained professional on every phone call. My mortgage approval process took just a little over 30 days to complete and Carmen was with me every step of the way. Because this was my first mortgage loan he took his time to explain every step and term that I needed to know. Education is key and he ensured that as his client I knew what the heck he was talking about. He worked out things I had no clue existed. Other lenders pretty much kept me in the dark and I had no clue about the interest rates and taxes all that lingo. I just knew I wanted to buy a house ! I would recommend Coastal Lending Group to anyone who is seeking consistency and professionalism. The funny thing about this whole process was that I have yet to meet Carmen in person, but I feel like know him like a friend. Timely,organized, and on top of every person involved even my Dad : ) I have already referred three colleagues to Carmen, two of which are in their homes. I am forever grateful to this agency for making things happen. I am comfortable with my mortgage payment and nothing was a surprise at settlement, I had already seen all the numbers. I will sing the praises of Todd Mummert and his team at CLC to anyone that will listen! We are working on our second loan with Todd. Our first was a messy, 10 month short sale for a very inexpensive property. Todd stuck with us throughout the process, making it as manageable as possible, despite I imagine receiving very little financial benefit when the loan was complete. Through this experience he earned our trust, and we will never go to anyone else. Our second loan is going extremely smoothly, and Todd has helped us understand some other options that will be useful to us as well, such as reamortization, and has even offered to help with this even though it is of no gain to him.
