TJ Rasmussen told us, "I want you to come in happy and at closing, leave happier." Well, he did just that for us. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH THIS ENTIRE PROCESS. This company from start to finish made our refinance as smooth as any major transaction as I have ever done. Lending companies should take notice of Golden Oak Lending on how to treat people. This company is professional, prompt, and stresses customer service like no other company I have dealt with. TJ took time to listen to our needs as home owners, and worked a plan that would be the best for our family for years to come. Then he took all the heavy lifting off of our hands and got us a quick closing. I want to stress that even the appraiser and the closing officer was just as polite and professional as TJ was through the process. From receptionist to TJ to the entire office, well done. I was so impressed with his work, that I took a handful of his business cards and have already given them out. This company deserves your business. Refinancing can be stressful, but TJ and Golden Oak made the process painless. I could go on and on about how happy my wife and I am about the work TJ and his team did for us. I reached out to Golden Oak after two failed attempts of refinancing and taking cash out for home improvements. I had a difficult debt to income issue that Tom was able to find a solution to when two other mortgage companies could not. From start to close he worked with me and was very quick to answer any questions I had. Prior to calling Golden Oak I paid another lending company $500 for an appraisal and that loan ended up not going through. With Golden Oak I didn’t have to take the chance of wasting another $500 as you don’t pay for the appraisal until the loan closes. Had I called them first I would have had my home project completed a month ago and would not have thrown away $500.

Golden Oak Lending and Tom French were so easy to work with for my refinance that I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for their first mortgage or a refinance. I live in Topeka, KS and being that their offices are over an hour away from me most of our business was done via email or on the phone which was super convenient for me. When it came time to close, the title company representative actually came to my house on a Saturday to make sure we could get the closing done in a timely manner. Overall, the process was easy, the people were friendly and knowledgeable and I feel confident that you will experience the same!

Tom French was our loan officer. My wife and I got married so we decided to refinance our house to cut back the years on our original loan that was with a different company. We were nervous, but Tom made the process of refinancing simple and painless. He ended up removing hidden fees and the hidden PMI from the original loan making the new loan about the same price but less years on the loan. We highly recommend Tom.
