I called Livesay & Myers for a consultation and was matched with Ariel Baniowski back in October 2014. I called for help with issues with my then husband in regards to his behavior, money and our child. I was lost and unsure of what I felt, what to do and what my rights were. She met with me and listened to my fears and utter confusion. She listened attentively and was straight up with me. I left the office knowing what my rights were and feeling better about my situation and how to try to handle it. I tried for the next 6 months. I called again in April of 2015 and made another appointment with Ariel – this time for divorce. She remembered me and my story. She never judged me. She heard me and began working on a plan. My story has unfolded and unraveled in ways that I never imagined it could have, but did. Ariel was never shocked or at a loss of what to do. She has been an incredible rock for me. For the next 2 years, she has been nothing but attentive, proactive, calming, and genuinely wonderful. My case just ended – and Ariel was on top of everything always. She was reasonable when I wasn’t, efficient, friendly, understanding, pragmatic, real, calming, educated, productive, professional, pleasant, constructive and most of all my ally. Ariel has truly been there for me for 2 years. She was accessible always – for the past 2 years! Ariel answered all my emails quickly and had a plan or an answer. Everyone at the firm has been nothing but professional and helpful. I never felt pressured or misunderstood or anything but confident about anything I had to take care of. Everyone at Livesay & Myers (Isabella Baldanza, Becky Seablom and Jessica White) have been tremendously cooperative and accommodating. I couldn’t be happier with having this team on my side. Livesay & Myers is an outstanding firm that will absolutely do all they can to transition you through a monumental event, such as divorce. I highly recommend them – especially Ariel Baniowski.

I contacted Livesay & Myers after searching the web for military divorce attorneys in Virginia. My divorce was complicated and I needed someone to start resolving the little obstacles and concentrate on the larger issues. I met with Jonathan McHugh for a consultation. He was patient, extremely professional and thorough and made me feel at ease that all my issues would be resolved in a timely manner. Jonathan’s knowledge of the military and estate issues was extensive. After 24 years of abuse, Jonathan, along with his paralegal, Tatyana Spurgeon, helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel. Both of them were quick to respond to any inquiries I had. Had a great experience with Attorney Sarah Collins, Paralegal Kim Cross, and the team of Livesay & Meyers, P.C. Sarah represented me in my divorce and child custody proceedings. She was always incredibly helpful, responsive, and prepared/filed everything in a very timely manner. I came in needing an expedited filing and she was able to process everything very quickly. If I ever had a question and sent her an e-mail both she and Kim were very responsive and would get right back to me. She gave excellent advice , and always kept me informed and up-to-date on the status of the proceedings and my case. This fantastic firm made my unpleasent divorce experience not only bearable, but simple, straightforward, and professional. Everything was done professionally, efficiently, and in a friendly, courteous manner. The price was reasonable and upfront (no "hidden" costs). When I had questions, both the paralegal (Mrs. Seablom) and the lawyer (Mr. Livesay) were extremely patient, caring, and put "lawyerese" in terms I could understand. They kept my best interest at heart though the whole ordeal and ensured the end result was exactly what I wanted. Being military, there were many questions and concerns I had including possible transfer, retirement, insurance, etc. and they explained it all to me. I would recommend their firm to anyone going through the process of separation and or divorce. The whole time period is stressful and emotional enough... Looking for a lawyer to represent me in my divorce, I found one close to the courthouse. Started with Spencer Baumgartner and after a year with Spencer, who really tried very hard to move the divorce along, I was transferred to Ms. Carolyn Eaton when Spencer moved to another firm out of state. Everything happens for a reason and God has a master plan. Ms. Eaton and her paralegals (Tatyana, Kimberly, and Bethny) were definitely a gift from God and Ms. Eaton was the Angel. After 3 years of e-mails, conferences, phone calls, headaches, etc., Ms. Eaton pushed opposing counsel and my ex-spouse to finally agree to some kind of settlement that was okay for me.
