I recently received a reckless driving citation for traveling 80MPH in a 55MPH zone. After my online research revealed the severity of this charge, I was terrified. The long term cost of increased insurance rates and the potential danger to my security clearance led me to the decision to “lawyer up”. I narrowed my search to several lawyers in my area some of whom had relatively low flat rates for a defense of this sort. I spoke with a few to included Steve Duckett . . . I knew after his consultation that he was the man for the job. He was knowledgeable, frank, and courteous. He listened to my situation and described recommended actions in preparation for a defense of this charge. His demeanor, honest and confidence put me at ease and he got to work on my defense. He and his staff provided great advice assistance as we built my case file and strategy prior to the hearing. He put me at ease and provided an honest assessment of the best and worst case scenarios for the day in court. Steve obviously knows his way around the courtroom and his actions exuded competence, confidence and professionalism. The end result is that my charges were dismissed and I was only required to pay the court costs. My insurance and security clearance were unaffected. The old adage you get what you pay for was definitely true in my case. Although your defense with Steve may cost a little more than some of the others – you will be pleased with the result! I highly recommend Steve to you as I would to friends and family.

I hired Steve Duckett back in Dec 2014 when I was charged with a DUI involved in a 3 cars accident. Without getting too specific, Steve pointed out a couple glaring mistakes that the officers made during the rest and was able to get my potential DUI charge to dismiss avoiding a lengthy license suspension and DUI on my record. After meeting with Steve I knew immediately he was the man for the job. He put all the potential outcomes on the table but told he was confident he could get together all of the evident including the video during my arrest. Steve presented the evident in 2 lengthy court sessions and at one point during the court session in June 2015, I was nervous and asked what if I plead guilty but Steve told me “You hired me and this is my job we are going to trial”. Not only that but he was straightforward, honest, and more than fair with his fee. He made me feel very comfortable throughout the process. If you have a similar legal issue I would highly recommend Steve to defend you.

We hired Steve Duckett to represent my 21 yr old son who received a reckless driving ticket. Steve was very honest about impact to his record, what could happen and what to expect. He counseled us with actions to take to show remorse and make amends. We did all of the activities, from letters of recommendation, driving classes, community service, etc. We ended up with two results - 1) a dismissal of the ticket; and 2) a scared and humbled son who learned a hard lesson in what could have happened to him for such poor decision making while driving. my Son In Law got a reckless ticket from a PWC police officer for passing in a turning lane when it was not a turning lane. Steve Duckett got the evidence to prove the officer was wrong and a Reckless ticket got dismissed.
