In December of 2015 I got hit by a car and wound up in a hospital not knowing what day or month it was, bruised from head to toe and unable to even sit/sleep for a week and my car completely totaled. I thought “wow this is the worst thing that has ever happen to me, getting hit right before walking for graduation” But now looking back, I would have rather get hit by that car exactly 6 more times than to deal with this law firm. My pain medication drugged up self found the first lawyer in my area at the time and gave a call, and in the next few days signed the papers for my own little hell for the next year and half. The lawyers here, or at least one lawyer here that I had, probably had too many cases to deal with to care to remember his clients’ name. I should have known things are bad right from the get go when I would get a letter every couple of weeks from the hospital regarding unpaid bills, last notices, and letters saying that the bill is going to be sent to a collection office and Every. Time. I called my lawyer about it, he said he’ll handle it. He didn’t, another lawyer fixed that part but she ended up quitting/leaving the office randomly and I was back to the original lawyer. I should’ve got out then. But I didn’t know any better and thought no one else will take my case since its halfway built. I went through all my treatments required to build a case and completed all the papers, those papers mysteriously got ~lost~ for the next few months. My insurance says the papers got sent, my lawyer says he hasn’t gotten them, and me trying to track the papers and track my lawyer which was apparently always out of the office for lunch or on vacation, which is why he hasn’t gotten back to my emails for the past couple of weeks. I understand that building a case takes time, I understand that a lot of times the other party will delay things or insurance can get confusing and patience is necessary for this. I understand that my case isn’t the only one that my lawyer has to handle, but when your lawyer consistently never calls you/only responds to emails when I call the front desk mad and on the verge of tears every month or two consistently /keeps you out of the loop/pushes back deadlines/changes his tune of outcome of the case/doesn’t explain Anything about the fees from the case and which money goes where/ etc. etc. etc., it’s hard to be patient. Honestly I could go on with more details and incidents but for sake of preventing this essay from being longer than what it already is, and seem like I’m rambling, I won’t. It’s hard to be happy about your case finally coming to end with a check that will finally be able (just) cover the cost of the car you had to buy cause your car got totaled + a little of what would be left over, partially to use on more sessions with a chiropractor because your lawyer didn’t tell you that even though your sessions ended, you should still ask for more sessions if your neck still can’t tilt a certain way anymore. (that was probably my fault and I should’ve used common sense) As I’m writing this, I’m waiting on a check that the said lawyer said he’ll send off last Friday, but didn’t inform me that it’s still in billing. I found this out only after calling the front desk and asking about the whereabouts of the check. I will repeat myself, I Don’t mind waiting. If the lawyer told me, hey I’ll give you a call on Tuesday or the check will come next week, I’ll say, sure, no problem. But telling me you’ll call on Tuesday and me having to call the Next Tuesday asking why you didn’t call Every. Time. is just unprofessional and unreliable, and dealing with that for an entire year and a half was much more agonizing than the accident itself. TBH I’m just overjoyed I never have to deal with this law firm ever again. TLDR: Accidents are already bad, don’t make your time worse and make the same mistake I did. This law firm doesn’t care at all, look elsewhere.

I would recommend Jamie and the great team he has working for him at the Johnson Law Firm. The office was so inviting and really helped set my mind at ease. Ive never had to hire a lawyer before and I was very nervous about the whole ordeal. From the time I walked in, I felt that this was the place I needed to be. I was there to help my older parents get their wills written which was hard for me!! Mr. Johnson was so helpful and really took care of my family.
