My mother in law was, as you can imagine, distraught and overwhelmed by the whole situation and dealing with the insurance companies was the last thing she needed. Mr. Abels stepped in and managed the whole process while keeping us all fully abreast of each development. More importantly though, Mr. Abels cared about our family. He was all the things you need from an attorney--well informed and knowledgable, responsive, a good, clear communicator, etc, but he was so much more. He was patient and supportive. He always asked how my father in law was doing because he was genuinely concerned about his well-being.
