My husband and I have lived in our house for two years and have had no problems with the AC whatsoever. Last night when we turned down the air to go to bed we noticed the compressor was not turning on, on our outside unit. So we called Cowboys and they came out the next day. There were two guys who came over checked the inside and outside unit, told us the compressor was broken and the whole unit would have to be replaced. They quoted us at a little over $4000 to replace the outside and $8000 to replace the whole thing. Well, we went ahead and got a second quote from Compton Air Conditioning (GREAT COMPANY!!!), and they told us the compressor was completely fine, it was a small leak that could be fixed for $300. Unbelievable, these guys lied right to my face, and then they had the audacity to rave about being military friendly, and giving us a discount. They also turned off our unit upstairs before they left to make sure it looked like the whole unit needed to be replaced! Ridiculous! I think the Compton guy said it best, "What a bunch of clowns!" P.S.- Cowboys started this year, and the company name they were once under was closed down a year ago for faulty licensing and bond of their workers, go figure! Never call this company for anything, they will make your ac worse and not better!

As the "Polar Plunge" (as all the news outlets called it) approached I was worried that my unit may not be able to keep up. I had lived in my house for about a year now, and the A/C unit must have been 7+ years old. My aunt referred me to Cowboys Air Conditioning & Heating as they had maintenance her unit in the summer. I called and was taken care of promptly and efficiently. They were able to fit me in the same day I called in which is amazing! When the tech arrived he was courteous and asked questions in regards to the unit and my concerns. He discussed what he was going to be looking at and looking for and would let me know his recommendations. When he assessed the unit he was very informative and thoroughly explained what the best options were. He explained that the best option would be to replace the unit as it was older and not energy efficient (which I figured) and explained the cost benefits and savings. To be honest I was not prepared to buy a unit but to make sure my family would be warm, I would pay any price. I filled out the credit app with the tech and was approved on the spot, and they installed my new unit. I appreciate their great service, upfront honesty and their commitment to doing what is right for me the customer. I definitely recommend them!!

1st I couldnt believe this company had any positive ratings. They did fix my A/C which was a relief, but my total bill was $597. I looked up the parts and talked to several other air techs. The parts cost well below $200 leaving them with an extra $400 in labor for about a half an hour. They recommended I get a new A/C unit for $8,500 and get on their payment plan on an 11% interest rate, even though mine is only 8 years old. My system works fine now. They recommended about $1,000 in cleaning on just the inside. The only positive thing I could say was the tech was very professional and polite, but was probably trying to sneak in a new A/C unit through kindness. Tried to contact the manager by phone and was told they were out. The person that answered the phone gave me 2 e-mail address and told me to send an email and I would be contacted within 24 hours. Never got a call or email back. Also sent 2 emails to the company contact email address and got no response

WE LOVE COWBOYS!!! My parents had their system serviced by Cowboys a/c and Heating a few weeks ago and we were just so pleased with this company.Robert Ruiz was the technician who came out to my parents house and was so polite and well-educated about their system. He checked out the unit first and kept my Dad informed on everything that he was doing as he was doing it. He then proceeded to give us his recommendations and very unhurriedly explained each of every one of them. My parents never felt like he was pushy at all! After Robert made his recommendations to repair the unit, they ended up deciding to just replace it and up-grade their system. Robert also concurred that this was a great long-term solution.I applaud Cowboys for their well trained employees, as Robert was what made our a/c service such a breeze. We have since recommended this company and will continue to do so.

Two visits and $1000.00 in the whole. First visit was $465.00 and the second vist was $537(thats with a discount). So hold on to your wallet. You will be told you will get more free service visits, but each one may cost you more and more. Make sure you know the cost of items before they install on the second visit. Sometimes your just so hot and miserable and seeing your babies hot and miserable you will go along with anything they say just to get it fixed, only to hear the cost in the end is outrageous. Technicians are very nice. They do arrive on time! The second technician stayed for over three hours to get things working, calling in and trouble shooting many options. Says I may need a compressor in the future, and that will cost $1600.00 . My home is just over 4 years old. (Main Street Home is the builder). They will ask you about where you work, and family size.

I stopped by my mother-in-laws on Friday evening and noticed the house was unusually warm. I called Cowboys around 8pm and spoke with the answering service. Within 30 mins a tech called me to set a time to meet. He had 2 jobs ahead of us, but felt he could be to our house shortly. At 10:30 we spoke with the tech and decided to meet Saturday morning. When John and Alonzo arrived they were both very courteous and professional. John did an excellent job of explaining what was wrong and offered several repair options. He allowed us to consider the options without being pushy. We decided replacing the coil unit was the best long term solution. The install crew arrived about 2 hours later and they too were very professional and polite. By 6:30 the new unit was installed and the house was on its way to cooling off.

Had many issues with past service and receptionist Melissa . Aerial a technician reached out to us and tried to remedy the issue and offered some services . I have changed review from 1 to 3 star,s in the future I will call technicians directly instead of deal with receptionist. I will give them credit for trying to make the issue right. many companies do not. I would not give higher due to the fact I had to make online complaints,and issue outside complaints to get my issues taken care of since the receptionistwould block the call from going to a manger when requesting to talk to technician or someone else , and cut you off if you had additional questions she did not want to answer

These guys are crooks and lied to me. I bought a groupon to have an annual service done. The two service guys told me that both of my coils were bad and that one unit was leaking and coolant level was several lbs low. They told me both units were low on coolant. Then they quoted be over $3800 per coil to replace them. Needless to say, I had someone else that I trusted look at both units. They checked coolant levels, injected a die to check for leaks and guess what, neither unit was low at all. So let me repeat myself, Cowboys AC is dishonest and just plain crooked! What a shame. If you want my advice, do not do business with these guys.

I already called them and set up an appointment when I saw the poor reviews. Maybe they are not true. My A/C is still working and I just wanted them to check it. After an hour, the tech wanted me to replace the whole system for $4,000.00. When I said I cannot afford that. He wanted to replace/install parts for $997.00. I agreee with josh_crumley69 with the comment. The only positive thing I could say was the tech was very professional and polite, but was probably trying to sneak in a new A/C unit through kindness. My advise is believe the ratings, these are real customers trying to warn you. BEWARE

We have a yearly maintenance agreement with Cowboys to keep our air and heat units running in top shape. This fall Mike and Walter came out and also added much needed insulation to our attic. The price was a fair one and the expert help of both Mike and Walter was much appreciated. Chris and Cole installed blown isulation into both or our attics. They made no mess and were very professional in their jobs. Cowboys can be counted on to do a great job at a fair price. Had a great experience with one of your techs today.very expierenced and knowledgeable.had great options and resolutions to my ac and heating system.very happy to be doing business with a reputable company and highly trained staff.i was shown how bad mildew and bacteria grows in my ac system and decided to do something about it.air purification and deep cleaning was my choice at his time.will be looking into the other options in the future.thanks Miguel for helping me breath alot better with cleaner air.thank you cowboys air conditioning!!!!!

Cowboys A/C was just here and saved me from a hot Texas summer! Rey Rodriguez came out and saved the day! He was prompt, courteous and extremely knowledgable! Hard to believe he was out on this over 100 degree day working in the sun. Yet he remained friendly and took care of everything quickly and efficiently! He gave me all my options and had it running like a champ in no time! I was so impressed I have now signed up with Cowboys A/C for them to come out keep it all running smoothly! I cannot say enough at how pleased I am.

I called Cowboys Ac and heating because my AC was not working. I was impressed with how fast they got to me. Javier was the Technician that diagnosed the system. He provided me with easy to understand options and made my decision easy. I chose to replace my Ac system instead of repairing it and its running great and had me cooling in no time. The installers Worked very diligently and quickly to get me cooling again. Thank you Cowboys for making this happen the same day.

Incredible! If you are looking for an honest bunch of people in this industry, look no further. I can not say enough about how positive my experience was with Cowboys AC & Heat. They came out in the evening and diagnosed my problem and had the work finished the next morning. Not only that, but two days later I received a warranty confirmation in the mail from the manufacturer! They had registered it for me!! Incredible service and honesty!

So thankful for this company! My family returned home from a wonderful vacation only to find that our AC had gone out! We called to see if someone would be able to come out and check on the AC and they were at our house in no time! The technicians were very knowledgeable and professional. Miguel provided excellent service today. I called Cowboys when I noticed that my upstairs A/C system was not cooling the house. Miguel diagnosed the issue and gave me several options. I appreciated the fact that he did not try to sell me the "top dollar" option (coil replacement), but took a more balanced approach to the problem. We have a 3-yr service contract with Cowboys and have been pleased with the level of service.
