I hope this rating offers enough space for the details concerning the poor workmanship and snake oil business methods of this company. 1: The employees are NEVER on time. They show up at 9 or 10am (whatever suits them) looking like they just rolled out from under an overpass. 2: When they do arrive, within 30 minutes they are back in the customers driveway smoking cigarettes and swilling Gatorade (the remnants of both often left for other trades to clean up or worse for the homeowner). 3: They use NO floor protection. Tracking muddy boots across the floor without any care seems to be commonplace. Of course they have no problems using the floor coverings of other trades even wiping their feet on the drop cloths. 4: They put tools, batteries and other item on the clients furniture without any thought to the dirt and potential damage. 5: They are rude and surly at best and the younger ones are prone to start conflicts with other trades out of spite because the owner has not taken it upon himself to put them in their place. 6: They are painfully slow about everything with the exception of leaving for one of their dozen breaks. A simple system install in a full attic with no other vent work to deal with takes weeks even with a 5 or 6 person crew. Of course, when 30 minutes of smoke breaks are consumed for every hour of work in a 4 or 5 hour work day (they do not stay past 4pm)...what do you expect. 7: They leave a mess in their wake and spend more time hooking up and unhooking temporary heat and air than they do actually installing the new system. What a debacle. We give out references all the time but after watching this comedy of errors will never give out the name of Adams for anything. Maybe when the owner was involved the company care more about their work ethic and the behavior of the employees. Obviously the current management is just there for sales and to massage angry clients after they have been taken for a ride.

Adams Heating and Air is currently working on a huge project at my job. They have been here for the last few weeks replacing 4 ancient units with brand new ones. The supervisor Adrian is always very friendly and professional and says good morning to me everyday. All of the technicians seem to really respect him and are eager to learn from him. I am shocked every day how well they work together, I have never seen a group of guys let alone vendors get along so well. I am used to feeling so much negative energy and hostile vibes from vendors getting aggregated with each other, defiantly not the case here. They have been working very efficiently and always clean up their work space behind them every day. They always make sure they are out of the way when they need to be and make sure not to interrupt business. I have had an amazing experience with Adams team of guys so far. I would defiantly recommend them to any other business or residential customer. I know when I am a home owner they will be the company I call. Thanks guys! (Adrian and Mike)

We had our entire HVAC system replaced (including ducting) by Adams about 13 years ago and have been very pleased. They performed a service on the furnace in March of 2013, as the furnace was not working due to failure of a part...by the end of the afternoon we were back up and running again, minimal hassle and cost! They explain everything along the way and are courteous and friendly. Weeks later we had our heat exchanger break down in our rental condo unit! Thankfully it was vacant! We had a complete new system within days! Again, courteous, friendly and everything explained to us. The cost was also very competitive! In July, 2014 as we had our condo up for sale we discovered the A/C was not working. Same day Adams was out to investigate and pinpoint the problem, order the parts and and was fixed within a day. No charge, no hassle under the warranty!

I have have used Adams Heating & Air Conditioning services for approximately six years. I was given their name by another loyal customer who used them for 28 years who was highly complimentary of them. During each of my own contacts with the support staff, technicians and representatives I have found all of them to be courteous professional and responsive to my requests and inquiries. The technicians are consistently punctual and always mindful not to wear their shoes into my home if/when they have needed to go under my house to work. They are well organized and call me promptly to remind me to schedule my twice yearly inspections and they are thorough in their performance. Their prices are competitive and I readily recommend them to anyone who owns a home. I have no reservations in recommending them.

During a particularly cold and snowy weekend, our heating system could not hold our desired temperature. I called Adams Heating & AC to diagnose the issue. They responded quickly and sent one of their techs, Jason, on the same day, despite a very busy weekend. Jason was very meticulous in his inspection and diagnosis. He took the time to explain the issue, step by step. He presented all of our options and was very transparent about the pricing. Once we made a decision, Adams Heating & AC scheduled a repair appointment as soon as possible (within two days). In the meantime, Jason went out of his way to provide a temporary solution until the repair appointment. His level of expertise and customer service made for a great experience. He definitely went above and beyond to help us.

I live in a townhouse community where the AC compressors are on the back patio. The units are older and very noisy which creates an unpleasant patio atmosphere when the unit is on, horrible building design. I decided to give Adams a call about getting a new unit to reduce the noise. I spoke with Marco and rather than trying to sell me an expensive new unit he suggested trying a compressor blanket. The blanket was ordered and installed within days resulting in a tremendous reduction in noise. It is good knowing that the employees at Adams have their customers best interest in mind. Marco could have tried to sell me a new unit but realized there was a more economical solution to fix my issue.

We have used Adams Heating and Air for over 15 years. They service our home ACs and furnaces twice a year. Any of the techs they have sent have been courteous, knowledgeable and can fully explain their findings so I can understand them. They are realistic about whether it makes financial sense to repair or replace (a part or an entire unit), as well as about how long we can most likely wait to do a service or a repair/replace. They are able to give estimates of the cost immediately, unless the entire unit needs replacement. When a unit needs replacement, a specialist comes out to examine the house and to recommend the most efficient unit. I would most definitely recommend them.

Jason Corley came to the house and took pictures of my air duc situation. He subsequently drew a diagram for me to walk me through what my infastructure looked like and described the issues I was experiencing and the cause. His technical knowledge and ability to understand both the technical and the client view, combined with a wonderful positive personality and excellent communication skills, gave me the confidence to better understand my house and be able to address home improvement needs based on my priorities. We contracted with Adams to install a new AC unit for our home. They gave us a great price compared to the other quotes we received. All the representatives we worked with were great including the one who measured our home to make sure we got the right size unit. The representatives who installed the unit were on time, consulted with me on what they wanted to do and cleaned up afterwards. And the unit has performed exceptionally well. When we experienced a problem, they sent someone out to check the unit and found that it was due to a clogged discharge line and not a problem with the new unit. We are very satisfied with our experience with Adams.

We have used Adams for several years after running into problems with another company. Adams people have always been on time and willing to discuss our system. Even called them for information when installing a system at our beach house. While living in London we had house sitters and had an annual contract with Adams. It was a great relief knowing that our HVAC system was being well maintained while we were gone. We always got a copy of the report so we could arrange to have any issues addressed. Absolutely trust them. Wish we could take them with us on our next move.

Great Service, Great Price, No Pressure! After bidding to multiple companies, I chose Adams to replace my upstairs heat pump. Marco was honest and upfront about the options and prices for replacing the old unit. I was so impressed with what he and the Adams team offered, I decided to replace my downstairs unit as well. Marco made sure I was aware of the full process and checked-in throughout the installation to ensure everything went smoothly. Everyone was very considerate and courteous and the new units work great!

Many thanks for a job well done. Our experience started with a thermostat upgrade. Installer David discovered potentially hazardous situation with our 20 yr old furnace. It was to our advantage to replace our system rather than repair. We could not be more pleased with our new furnace and installation and wifi thermostat. Installation technicians Juan, Ruffino and Steve were not only competent but extremely knowledgable, efficient and pleasant! We highly recommend ADAMS Heating and Air. Good job Adams!

We had our heat go out in our house during Snomageddon2017 in Charlotte. Jason was very prompt in answering my call and getting out in the bad weather to come to my house and handle the situation. While it was an easy an quick fix, Jason took his time explaining our system and what the problem was. We were relieved to have the heat back and be able to get back to our house. Selected them to give me an estimate for a new split HVAC system, as one of four companies. Sales person was rushed, did not measure house, missed that the air return was too small, could not answer my questions about a 96 AFUE furnace in the attic, could not give me proposal or clear sales price, sent me only an AC offer; was 40% more expensive than the other company who did a comprehensive review and answered all my questions. It is beyond me why people trust this place.

Outstanding customer service and professionalism! In addition the the annual HVAC service agreement which I take advantage of, I have had the need for service work on my furnace. I was and have been thoroughly pleased with both. Very competitivily priced, and in all my dealings with the company I have never questioned once that they were totally operating in my best interest.
