Sales: I got a new HVAC system from SCHAAL in August. Brand: Carrier. Salesman Dan was amazing in explaining what is best for me and how it works out.He was a very knowledgeable guy who answered every technical question i had and helped me decide the correct unit and gave me the best deal. He understood my requirements clearly and suggested a system that works for me. Installation: Dylon and Llyod were very professional when doing their job. They were very punctual and finished their job well ahead of the time. They cleaned everything after the installation and explained what i should expect from the new system. They communicated very well during the installation. Issue after installation: While the system was super quiet and worked perfectly...i could hear a pulsating humming sound from the outside compressor (could hear everywhere in my house, was louder in my home office which was near the unit) and it was driving me nuts. I reached out to Dan and he arranged for a technician immediately to come and check it out. The technician came out (few hours after the installation) and said that is how these Carrier units work. He tried few things but the sound did not go away. He said he did not have anything else he can do except for talking to his supervisor to get a compressor blanket to reduce the sound. He also talked about the option of looking at a more expensive unit if i needed a quieter unit. Very disappointing. Everyday when the unit ran i could hear the pulsating hum that caused me lot of discomfort. After few days i reached out to Dan again and he arranged for a Senior Technician to check it out. Their Customer Service called me and said i should not worry as they will send their best technicians to look at the issue and fix it. David Cleek (Sr technician) came in, discussed the issue, experienced the pulsating hum in the house and suggested few things he was going to do. He did them in 30-45 minutes and the sound was gone. It is so quiet now that i need to put my hand over a vent to see if it is actually running or not. The best things with Schaal team were knowledgeable salesman, super nice installation guys, great customer service and experienced Sr Technician who fixed the issue. The worst thing was the technician who came in, heard the sound and said that is how the unit works. Those words made me think if i did the right thing by purchasing this unit. After their last visit, I am very happy that the Schaal team worked to solve my issue and i would happily recommend them to anyone. I felt that they wanted to help me and they did by sending their best to solve the issue. Great job Schaal team.

I have been using Schaal for 8 years after my husband pasted away. This past winter my furnace stopped working. The same furnace they put in 8 years ago. Duane came out and said I needed a new inducer motor and it was gonna cost $1100. He also gave me a quote on a new furnace and air for $10,000 for 5 years parts & labor warranty and a new water heater for $1000. So my friend came over for some dinner and I told her about it. She said WOW thats really expensive. She had just replaced her furnace, air conditioner and water heater $5700 so she gave me a business card from that company. I called them out and they gave me a quote for a new 95% furnace 15 seer A/C($4500) and a high efficient water heater($800) for $5300 and it came with 10 years parts and labor. I was hoping 8 years ago when I called Schaal to help me get new equipment and I became their regular customer I would be treated fairly everytime. I feel as if since they knew I was a long term customer they could give me higher prices because they knew I was not calling another company to check pricing.
Schall installed a humidifier in my home in November of 2013. I called in November of 2014 because of a problem. They told me on the phone that I was still four days within my warranty period so everything would be covered if it was bad. If it was something other than a failed item they installed I would be charged a $69 trip charge. I agreed. Fair enough. They could not get here until after the warranty period as they were quite busy. They came in and had to replace the Humistat. They told me the part was covered by warranty and they would even wave the labor charge since I was six days out of warranty. (I called before warranty expired but they were too busy to get here). Now they say I still have to pay a $69 trip charge and are trying to sell me a maintenance plan. Poor business practices. Less than ethical in my opinion and I would recommend not doing business with them. I know I will not be contacting them again.
We highly recommend considering Schall for your heating and cooling needs. Jonathan visited our home the next day providing replacement options for our consideration. He explained how the equipment works, available programs, installion options, and a competitive quote. Dillon and Scott were the install team. They were tasked with installing a replacment furnace and a heat pump in the existing space. They were up to the task. They assessed the existing system and formulated a plan to maximize the efficiency of the new system while minimizing changes to ductwork, piping, electrical and drywall. They discussed their plan with Jonathan and me before starting to work. They completed the install as planned. They tested all system components and provided instuctions for operation and maintenance. We were very pleased with the courteousness and professionalism of all staff we interacted with at Schall.
From a Valued Customer:: Our furnace motor went out yesterday and Frank the technician tried to assist us but could not get the part. Today when my husband spoke to Nan, she indicated the Technician could be at our house between 1 and 3. I called back and asked Nan if she could give me 15 minutes before the technician was to be at our house so I had to take less time off work. Nan did call me and I was able to be home when the technician arrived. Nan is a very courteous dispatch person and her positive attitude was much appreciated. Randy keys was the technician who fixed the furnace and he did so in a very professional manner and explained what he was doing. This was a wonderful experience and I wanted to share this with the company.
This whole install came from the service call from Ryan. His help and service was outstanding. His knowledge of the systems, what we needed and wanted was amazing. He walked us through the whole process every step of the way and even came by to make sure things were going well the day on install. Dylan and Lloyd did an amazing job today. They were both very considerate, understanding and professional. Their knowledge of the system and how everything works and they were able to articulate how it works to us was outstanding. These three gentlemen were outstanding and amazing. W were never left with unanswered questions and they all made sure we felt comfortable. We will definitely recommend Schaal to others. Tried to fire up the furnace for the first time this fall and had no heat. Called Schaal at 5:30pm, they had a tech out by 8:30pm and it was fixed by 9:15pm. I should point out I purchased their preventative maintenance plan prior that does give you priority and gets your diagnostic fee credited back for the repair. It’s a good plan for the price and my repair wouldn’t have been necessary if I’d had it. Matt was quick, thorough, and polite. I hope I don’t need to, but I will use Schaal in the future.
Justin just stopped by our house (On time! in fact, he was able to get here earlier if we wanted) and was very personable, professional and got the job done quickly. He was very helpful, laying out all of our options for our 22 year old AC unit. He was straight forward with diagnosis, and made us feel at ease with the decision we need to make. Plus, he was good with our dog and we really appreciated that. Will definitely be using Schaal again and would recommend.
Dylan and Lloyd did a great job. Mats were put down to eliminate any problems on the carpets. These guys introduced themselves first thing and we talked about my concerns and then they explained what they were going to do. The did the job quickly and professionally. When they were done the system was explained and questions answered. When they left you would not have known they were there. Dan showed up to touch base and make sure all was well. Very nice job.

Woke up to a freezing house today and called several different heating providers not only was Schaals the most positive and friendly over the phone when Courtney assisted me but they were also able to get Justin out to my house quickly which was much appreciated and he was prompt,educated, and efficient! Greatly appreciated everything you guys did for me on such short notice ! Will definitely be working with schaal for all future needs!!!
Excellence service and work by Schaal on my recent new purchase and installation of both an AC unit and a Furnace. Ryan was the primary contact who helped with the initial review and purchase. Chad and Matt did a great job with the installation! They were professional, courteous; with a high focus on quality. They even had no issues with allowing our dog watch them during the installation. Great job!
Scott and Marshall were very professional. They explained how the system works and and also gave me a visual walk through of my new system. They showed me all the work they did which was done exactly as the estimate was written. They were polite and cleaned up both the outside and basement area and finished exactly at 3 like they said. I am extremely pleased and will definitely recommend Schaal.

Called for after hours emergency with no heat. Very impressed. Andrew was professional and took the time to explain and show me the issues with my furnace and ac. Schaal makes It is so easy to keep our HVAC system in good working order. They are on the ball and contact you when your maintenance order is due. One more thing I can check off of my to-do list.Michael was our technician for our latest service check. He was professional and efficient. I am in real estate and recommend Schaal to all of my clients.
About a month ago was time for our air conditioning tuneup and Dave was our technician. He was very thorough and very personable as he checked out our system. We never felt like he rushed through the inspection and he answered any questions we had very knowledgeabley. We could tell that he cared about us as customers and thank him very much .
When our heater stopped working, we called Schaal. They were great to work with from the beginning! They sent us a technician within the hour. Jared did an excellent job. He was very professional and explained/showed us exactly what was going on with our unit. We will definitely be calling Schaal and recommending them to our friends and family!
I had my air checked out today June 15,2017. Dave Hulling was the technician that came out. He was GREAT!!! He was very kind, courteous and helpful. He made sure i understood everything he was doing. I would recommend him to anyone needing their air checked out or fixed. I would give him more stars than five if i could.
Dan was great at explaining the options that I had for a furnace and AC unit and let me know what I could gain with these systems. Dylan and Lloyd were awesome for the installation. Very professional and did a great job at cleaning up the area when they were done. All in all, a great experience with this company!
