During the recent takeover of wachovia by wellsfargo,new credit and debit cards were issued to customers, in addition the routing numbers were also changed on accounts. with that said , 5 recuring payment aggreement with geico was affected when , the attempted payment on the "former" account info. I received an email notifying me, I responded to the link and updated my card information. I received confirmation of the update. I then got an email a day later to say my policy would cancelled for non payment , I decided then to call To what was going on, they claimed that it was normal because my payment/updated card info has not yet taken effect. I received an email 20 days later that my policy was cancelled for non payment. So I called and was not able to get any kind of explanation or cooperation. I was offered to re quote , at a 300 dollar increase! . . this seemed deliberate, i had been with GEICO for 5 years at very low rate,... . and now it seems they wanted me gone, and sought every possible way even when i updated my information. In my case and the case of many other wachovia customers it was "invalid account info". Geico must have been aware if this issue with the bank takeover and instead chose to take advantage of its customers
Just purchased the insurance this morning. My wife and I have the same name and apparently this is not allowed at GEICO... Not really but their reps at the Tulsa office are unable to comprehend such an event occurring. I purchased the policy, they only included my wifes information and when I called about the error on the ID cards I spoke with a Michelle who was by far the most unprofessional person I have spoken with. She sounded irritated I would even call to correct a simple error on their part and when I attempted to explain my wife and I have the same name it became a mental overload for Michelle and she had abruptly ended the call and insisted someone else call me back. Two simple solutions to resolve the confusion... Check our birthdays and check our socials. They are completely different. How someone who say has a Jr in the family gets insurance from these people is amazing. Not even 2 hours into the new policy and based on this one phone call I am going back to my previous insurance company.
If i could give Geico a Zero I would most crooked Insurance ever I was hit from behind by there driver I had some whip lash they called me stating they dont cover medical and said from the picture of my car is what its based on i took my car to there rep he said the steel bar behind the bumper is bent several places and could of not ben bent by just being taped it did over $1500 in damage Shame on you Geico and SHAME on you Michael Henderson Geico adjuster Ill see you in cort you mr Hateful Michael Henderson is what makes peope get Attorneys
Great company and great office in tulsa, the haters on here seem to have personal issues, which is not Geicos problem, this GEICO office gets a A+++ I will recomend Kevin and his staff to everyone I know for the great rates and service!! Geico blows away any other competitor!!
I paid for my first month of car insurance and then received a letter 3 days later saying my insurance had been cancelled. Will never use Geico for insurance ever again.
