Professional, friendly, efficient, knowledgeable. 5 Stars As part of the "Plus Service Plan," a Neal Harris Service Experts technician comes twice a year to check, service & maintain my AC (in Spring) and Furnace (in Fall). This plan is necessary to keep my warranty valid, but I would do it anyway as a good practice. Technician Lora #197602 serviced my AC & Furnace on 3/24/15. She was professional, friendly, efficient & knowledgeable . I had received a call from Neal Harris Service Experts a few weeks prior to remind me it was time for my systems to be checked. When I called back, they were able to schedule an appointment the following afternoon. That day, I received a call from their dispatcher stating that their technician was ahead of schedule and asked if it would be okay if they came an hour before the scheduled window of 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Lora #197602 arrived 15-20 minutes later at approximately 3:00 pm and was finished about 30-40 minutes later. She checked the electrical & mechanical systems of my Furnace and AC and then finished by removing the outer casing of the AC unit and hosed off the grill inside. When done, everything was reassembled and in good working order. While inside, the technician wore protective booties over her shoes to prevent tracking dirt into my house. She finished by going through the paperwork with me and explained everything she did as well as made suggestions (not a sales pitch, but informative) like reminding me to replace the filter (which I take care of because I can buy the filters less expensively at the hardware store). Overall, excellent service. I have been a customer of Neal Harris for 19 years (even before they installed a new AC, Furnace & all new air ducts 5 years ago) and plan to continue.
BEWARE!! First off let me start by saying the tech was friendly and professional and so was the salesman I spoke to which is why i gave the second star. That being said my system was low on R22 refrigerant which means I have a leak obviously. The tech told me he would need to add the R22 at $233 a pound!!!!!!! Just to find the leak and then possibly fix the leak if he can. He told me a new condensor coil would cost $1000 to $1500 if thats where the leak was coming from. So just in order for him to troubleshoot the leak it was going to cost me $699 plus whatever the cost of fixing the leak. I requested a quote for a new system and got a 2.5 ton 14 SEER lennox I was quoted $4299 and was told this was a great deal at 15% off. This is a big investment so I shopped around. My next call I explained what was going on (did not mention pricing) and was quoted $2900 for the same exact system and watrantees. I decided to ask about repairs and refrigerant, he told me it would be $35 per pound and $39 per hour labor plus any cost of parts if needed. Long story short to fix my unit it cost me $169. Less than what Neal Harris was going to charge me for 1 pound of R22. I would highly recommend finding a different company that will not try to rob you blind.
Neal Harris installed a new HVAC System & original LP supply line 2/17/17. I quoted "10" HVAC firms for the project. I believe supporting the small local businesses first, if at all possible. One may procure the best equipment possible but...without the proper installation, skill set & knowledge base...one is "behind the eight ball" from day one. Not a good place to be. NH also brings multi-service to the table by doing HVAC, plumbing and more. A one-stop-shop with competitive pricing in the mix. NH was most comprehensive, professional, informative and advising from the start. My Sales Rep., Justin Turner, has experience in the trenches. This provided a full guidance of best options, budget available and why. No lack of detail and the best presentation. The project began with Ryan Hunter and Dalton as they "plumbed" an original LP supply line. Excellent workmanship. Next, the installation with Jason #351, Todd #34 and Jordan. It was receiving exactly as promised by all involved. Attention to detail, timeliness, completion of requirements & much more, plus tidy job site activities. I would recommend Neal Harris as a premier choice to get the job done and done well!!!
We have been Neal Harris customers for over 10 years and have been extremely pleased with the customer service and products offered. The technicians are top notch, they are very pleasant, very considerate and very skilled at what they do. The maintenance plan is very convenient and affordable. We recently had a new HVAC system installed by Al Johnson and Dalton Day (#223836). We are very pleased with the efficiency in which they did the installation. Before they left, they made sure that we completely understood how everything works, walked us through all of the steps to register the products and answered all of the questions that we had. Our salesman, Dick , was also very knowledgeable and I feel like he understood what we needed. He thoroughly explained all of the different products that are available and helped us to make the right decision for our home.We really appreciate all that they did- Thanks guys! You are the best!!
John L. came to my home this afternoon, within the time frame scheduled for his appointment, to service my Trane air conditioning unit. He introduced himself and was courteous and friendly. He asked to first check the thermostat, after which I directed him to the furnace room. He proceeded to conduct a thorough inspection of my heat pump, testing it with some specialized equipment. He then cleaned the built in filter, and, in addition inserted a complimentary added filter, but recommended a better filter which can be purchased at a local home store. He turned off the humidifier for the summer, and then went to inspect and test the outside unit. He again tested the unit with his specialized equipment. He completed his report on the service provided and gave me a copy of it, along with a receipt. Throughout the service call John was very polite and professional. He did a great job. We had a very positive experience with Neal Harris. Our funace died and they the tech, Jeffrey #2019, was professional and worked hard to solve the problem. Our furnace was beyond repair and the very next morning at 8am Brendan was at our door with all the options for a new heating system. Brendan was very professional and knowledgable and at no time did I feel pressured. The installation guys (Andrew Miller & Jake Ziskind - #1004) were prompt, knowledgable, and got right to work once they arrived. The installation was completed timely, looked professional, and they cleaned up everyhing once complete. There was a small issue with the furnace not shutting off once they left but a quick call to Brendan and they were back out within the hour. Turns out there was a bad spot in our existing wire from the thermostat to the furnace. The furnace has been working perfectly since. Thanks guys! Kirk and Rebecca
We needed a service call the day we called. The lady told us she could guarantee a tech if we paid the $99 service call charge. She also told us that if we chose to fix our furnace, the $99 service call charge would be become of the repair charges. In other words, no charge for the emergency service fee. We knew there was something really wrong as the furnace was making some strange knocking noises. The unit had been making a louder sound than it did the year before. The technician they sent (Houston) was extremely knowledgeable about our unit and gave us a great deal of information. We had him order the parts the next day and he came back out and fixed the issues so we could have heat again for this COLD weather. Thank you Houston.....you saved the day!
Got a mailer for free heating and cooling tune-up & evaluation. Service Tech Jeffrey #195084 showed up on time, got right to the job, checked furnace, outside AC unit, attic. Was very courteous and professional, showed readings from furnace, discussed options honestly with no pressure. We are having Neal Harris replace our heating & cooling system in the house. Completely satisfied! *One week later Todd S. and Mitchell C. #1006 arrived to do install of new Lennox heating and cooling system. The were on time, did an excellent job on the install, very courteous and professional. Completed job in a timely manner, did a great job of cleanup. Highly recommended!
When my old furnace gave up the ghost, I got bids on replacing it and the old AC and water heater at the same time. Costco had a special deal on, and when I got bids from 3 companies, the Costco option, installed by Neal Harris, was the one that made the most sense. It took a couple of days to get it all done, in part because they found a creative way to route some ductwork to a room that had never had direct heat or AC (it depended on getting it from the vent in the nearby hallway, supplemented with a room AC). The techs we worked with were Jason T (#351) and Jordan H (#416), and they were solid, and the guy who set it all up was John Cooney. Great job all around.
A/C went out on a Saturday night in late July. Contacted them Sunday morning at 10:00 am and by 1:00pm, our unit was already fixed and cooling the house down. Chris was the guy who came out. Our Trane unit is 17 years old and may be on its last leg. But instead of being pushy to get a new unit installed... he replaced the capacitor for us. Showed us what happened to the old one (physically) and explained all of the things that he did beyond just replacing the capacitor. I felt good about what we spent and the overall experience considering it happened on a weekend! When its time for a new one.. they will be my first call.
Jake went the extra miles for us and solved many issues. I felt he was genuinely concerned about our issues and put in the time and personal attention to resolve an issue with a Delta Faucet. He called Delta and explained the problem and had to convince them that he had performed all the trouble shooting steps- something that I the customer would have been unable to do. He came back to our house and installed the new part and discussed the install with Delta to make certain the part was installed properly since the part they sent was a newer part than the original. I would rate my experience as exceptional.
Chris Brown 205 came to my home at 1:00 A.M. Sunday Morning to repair my Air Conditioner.Chris is very knowledgeable about his trade. He had my air conditioner back to running great in no time at all. This young man is very polite and friendly. He explained the problem to me in words I could understand. Purchased a complete Dave Lennox Signature Series Furnace, A/C, Humidifier and Pure Air System. From initial sales call to questions asked with Austin Green and his patience in explaining the Neal Harris Service Experts connection with Costco it has been a pleasure. During the install day of 6/8/15 Techs Andrew Miller and Jacob Ziskind along with their team did a flawless take out of the old system and got the new system working within the time promised. Since then the system has far surpassed my expectations for comfort, ease of use and quietness.
We had 2 high efficiency HVAC systems installed. We contacted them through Costco and had Austin G come to our home and give us a proposal. We chose Neal Harris over a neighborhood company because of the large number of positive reviews we found from varied sources. In the end we are very pleased with the results. The systems are a big improvement from our 20+ years old pulse HVAC systems. Our installers were Jason T#351, Jon S#353 and Ed K#328. They were prompt and knowledgeable though at times a little loud. Overall I would use Neal Harris again.
Just had a new Lennox A/C and furnace installed to replace our 25 year-old one that fried itself just before summer. They were easy to work with and responsive when I contacted them. Initial price was on the upper end but we went through Costco and in the end got a deal that beat our other bids. The installer was Jacob Z. who had one other installer working with him and they did a great job on a really high heat and humidity day. Tore out the old one, got the new one in with no fuss and left everything cleaner than it was before. Very pleased.
