I decided to go with K-Designers because of someone I knew. Chris R (Sales/Marketing Director (MD)) was my inside contact, and he has been exceptional in responses and information during the whole process. Answered all my questions and concerns, going over all the details, plans, etc. There was lots of “negotiation” and “getting approval” from “management”. There was lots of talk about “marketing dollars” and “discounts”, and “deals”. Scheduling. Everything in this phase went perfectly, well communicated and exercised. Gave me a precise install time/date, and moved on to the next phase. I was told that all the work would be completed by a small crew of people, and completed in (1) single day. They informed me there would be a building permit and they would handle everything. Install: Install was scheduled for a Friday at 8AM, during the month of January. Friday morning I woke up early and got ready, expecting the person at my door around 8AM. Around 11AM, no one had showed up, so I call K-Designers, and they said they were slightly behind schedule, but he should be on-site around 1PM. No problem. It happened to be pouring rain that day, and if the man did show up, I would have turned him away, suggesting a reschedule. Fortunately when the man did show up at 1PM the rain had subsided, and the sun came out…excellent! The man showed up, by himself with his dog. The installer was a very nice man, knew what he was doing, and you could tell he had been doing this for many years, but I was concerned that it was only one person and not a crew. I asked if he would be able to do all the windows today by himself, and the answer was no. He was only doing the windows today, and would have to come back for the sliders. After completing the windows, he said he would be back Monday to complete the Sliders at 8AM. Monday at 8AM, the man shows up with a co-worker. Installing the sliders went rather quick. Upon completion, the lead installer came up to me and asked if I was satisfied. I noticed a little sloppy job with the caulking on the outside of the sliders, but I told him explicitly that it was not an issue and that I did not have the original paint. I went to grab something to drink, come back and both men were gone. I had a gut feeling after talking with the lead on Friday, that he did not like the sloppy caulking job and took a trip to the hardware store. About 20 minutes later my gut feeling was confirmed. They came back with a can of paint, and fixed the caulking. WOW! After saying it was not an issue, this man is so dedicated to doing good work he persisted in making it look the best he could. This is what you call commitment to excellence. Very impressed and pleased. I waited a week for a response back regarding the permit, looking forward to wrapping this project up. I contacted their Customer Relations Coordinator, asking a question regarding the permit. Emailed on Feb 8, got a response on Feb 9 saying a manager would contact me. By Feb 14th there was nothing, so I reached out to the customer relations coordinator indicating I had not received a response, and to my surprise, no response back from them either until the following day. I reached out to Chris who immediately answered my question regarding the permit. (Thanks Chris!) Chris has been exceptional the whole way, very responsive and very knowledgeable. If it were not for Chris, I would not have picked K-Designers. The installer(s) were exceptional as well, very knowledgeable and experienced, friendly individuals that did quality work with attention to detail. It is also important to note that the installer(s) and Sales/MD’s are contractors and not employees of K-Designers. This is important because this reflects on the individuals, and not the company. I have no comment regarding the employees, since I have had very little interaction with them. What interaction I have had, they seem to be clueless. People from their office “following up” on the estimate, when it is a month after the work is already completed.

Scheduled appointment for a bid on a patio cover. The person sent said he was not a sales rep but a marketing director. Gave the runaround on using "marketing dollars" for my project as a marketing house. Just google this company and you will read about this entire scam online. I was already having a hectic night and had no time for the waste this appointment turned out to be. Had to keep asking what the next step was and how and when would I receive a bid- as well as any idea what was envisioned for my back patio. When I asked for a "ballpark" of the project, I was told anywhere between $25-$30k! Gave the person my work info to follow up- almost 3 days went by before any follow up and that was only saying "good news- we have marketing dollars to help the cost". Meanwhile I received 3 other bids that came to my house, measured, showed me exact product, gave me design recommendation along with a complete bid all within 30 minutes! And all 3 were with $4k! NOT $25-$30K! When I told the rep I was going with another company, I was told "well, you get what you pay for" along with a few other slams directed at the business I work for. Do not waste your time with these scammers. Too bad because the kid who came was really a nice guy but obviously working for a horrible company and learning bad sales tactics. All I wanted was a bid which I could not seem to get. My recommendation is that the "marketing director" who came to my house should find a better company to work for! Do your homework about K Designers before you waste your time!!!!

This is our third experience of working with K-Designers - the first being replacement of six (50 + years old) windows on our house, the second being siding on a garage and on part of the house, and now this last one being replacement of the remaining fifteen (100-plus-year-old) windows. On every job we have found K-Designers to be highly professional, easy to work with, and totally reliable. While their prices might seem a little steep at first, the quality of the materials they use, and the skill of the people they employ to install those products, makes the extra monetary investment pay off nicely (A few months ago we had a short, but violent, hailstorm hit our neighborhood. The vinyl-sided garage of one of our neighbors had holes punched through the siding by the hail. We had not one bit of damage to our siding [nor to any of the windows K-Designers had previously installed]) We highly recommend K-Designers to anyone who is seeking value-for-cost and professional work on remodelling. They explain everything up front, customize the products to the individual situation where they will be used, they clean up the area after their work is done, and they meet schedule (or call ahead to let you know if there is going to be a delay). They are good folks to do business with!

I love my new K-Designers windows! I was originally only going to order 3 new windows, but by the time they were done with the presentation I was ready to order new windows for the whole house. I was so impressed. My home looks so good now with the upgrade of the windows. They are so easy to clean and I hope to see a reduction in my energy bill. The men that came to install were so kind and considerate. They did a professional job. They installed all 15 windows in one day and the next day they came to do the wrap on the outside of the windows. They took all the old windows and the old trims and cleaned up after themselves. A 5 star job!

Our gas bill went down significantly after they installed the new energy efficient Windows! So glad we made the decision to upgrade our home I really think the investment will be worth it!

My doors were installed on the day scheduled, efficiently and the debris was cleaned as much as possible. It was the day after the horrendous hailstorm we had in our neighborhood, and your employee also fixed a couple of my screens which had been slightly damaged in the storm,which I really appreciated.

Asked for bid, salesman comes and leaves at least 30 min before appointment time, leaves card but wont answer phone. If you have appt at 6 you shouldnt leave before 6, i was here before 6 and he had already left. They give excuses why they cant come give bid. Very very unreliable!!!
