I have had problems with HSC (Home Service Contractors) that have made me take my business elsewhere. I asked Steven for a quote after 3 weeks went by with no contact from him, I called him only to be told it will be another week until he can get out there to even look at the job to get me a quote, seems like a long time for a quote and shows where their priorities are. Previously, I had a water heater problem that took 3 trips to diagnose a bad thermocouple and then I had to order the part for them to put in. They don’t carry parts with them for common appliances? Lastly they were called out for a plumbing problem, they snaked the plumbing from the vent on top of the roof down. Shouldn’t be an issue except that they drug the machine across the roof causing the new roof to be gouged. To add to the issue the gouging caused a leak through the roof , damaging the ceiling to the point the entire ceiling needs to be replaced. When I called for HSC to look at it , they refused to accept responsibility. They said it was from the cooler overflowing that went into the vent ducting. The vent ducting is UPHILL from the venting duct on the opposite side of the roof. This theory doesn’t hold water (pun intended) . While trying to discuss the issue with the leak, they became very rude and defensive towards me and the tenant that I have in the house. At that time I just wanted to give them the opportunity to repair the damage they had caused. However, HSC continues to tell me different stories about what initially caused the leak in the roof and defends themselves with “ he has never had any issues with a roof in 25 years of service” . Upon researching their Unofficial Facebook page, I have found this is NOT true. I truly wish I had hired someone else. I cannot recommend this company nor will I continue to use them as a contractor. Be careful how you interact with them, and immediately inspect what they do at your house if you do choose to use them.

This company was recommended. after I read the reviews I took the recommendation anyways...Glad I did. I called and they said they could come out the following morning. They did just that. Alpha was great. Only a temp fix, because the whole unit for cooling needs to be replaced, but I am happy with what I could get. I am cool again. Thank you Home Service and Alpha for your immediate attention. I will recommend you to my friends.

Wanted to get an estimate for serious work ($2000 worth). One representative came out and took measurements, but never got back with me. After leaving several messages with the secretary no one bothered to call. In addition, the gentlemen made up a lie that i had to confirm with the State Mechanical Inspector. Too many concerns to do business with these folks... Consider yourself warned. MGS stepped up to the challenge.

The guys at HSC are great. They done multiple repairs on my home. Everything from water heater work to roof repair to tiling my bathroom. Fast appointments, very reasonable estimates, and support. Highly recommended for any and all work! Best of all, if there are any problems with the work, they make it right, no questions asked.
