REVISED 6/17/2015 I had an issue with my AC (showing "system malfunction" on the thermostat) and called them to come out to determine what the problem was. This was the beginning of a two week ordeal. The first tech came out and told me he was not familiar with my Carrier (Infinity) system. He did what he could do and eventually turned the breaker on and off. He said that "he hoped that worked" but if the problem persists they would send someone else out to work on it. Two days later I called because it still was showing "system malfunction". Tech number two came out and said there was a wiring issue and he replaced the worst of it and that he would get back to me with an estimate to rewire the whole thing. I use Beverly for regularly scheduled maintenance ... I was wondering why they did not catch the bad wiring. They were just here a few weeks ago. The next day the system stopped working altogether, just in time for the hottest and most humid days of the year so far. They sent out tech number three that said the issue was the thermostat. He would check into the warranty and get back to me with a cost. The next day with temps in the 90s (88 in my house), I had not heard from them so at 2 pm I called them. They said they had not looked into it yet but they would give me a call back. Within a half hour they called and said the thermostat would be well over $700. I asked if the problem with the thermostat could be related to the wiring issue. They said that they thought the issue was the thermostat. Tech number four came out and put in the thermostat but when he tried to fire it up ... he determined that there was a bad wiring harness. Of course this was a Friday with no break in the temp. We suffered through a hot and humid weekend and got a call on Monday saying that it would be 3 - 4 days before the could get the wiring harness (they are an authorized Carrier dealer). I guess they heard the anger in my voice and called back a little while later to let me know that they have expedited the shipment .... "at no cost to me!". Tech number four came back and installed the wiring harness then put the old thermostat back in and said ... "there you go ... all taken care of", and left. Within a few minutes the thermostat was reading "system malfunction". The tech came back and installed the new thermostat. One day later things seem to be okay. It only took 2 weeks of the hottest, most humid weather of the year, 4 different techs and five visits for them to stumble their way to a solution. If I had this problem in the winter time ... I would have had to shut off the water, drain the lines and move my family to a hotel room for a few weeks to stay warm ...... no thanks! Oh, and by the way ... when you have a maintenance agreement with Beverly you get priority service!!!! Fool me once, shame on me ..... I have been using Beverly Services for years now. I actually have a maintenance agreement with them currently. They come out twice a year to do scheduled maintenance on my heating and cooling system. The price is reasonable for the agreement. They recently helped me with a plumbing issue. They were here within two hours .... not bad for a non-emergency! As I mentioned, I have been using them for years and to be honest with you I have never had a negative experience with them. I have never talked to a rude person there, actually it has been quite the opposite. They seem to be very courteous and keep you informed of when the tech will be there. The service has always been quick and quite thorough. Of all of my experiences dealing with service companies, Beverly has to rank up as the best. Just my two cents worth. Pete

Marty Foor was absolutely superb. He was very professional, polite and customer oriented. We were very impressed with Beverly and Marty and we will not hesitate to call them again for service needed in our home. We had an emergency -- with our hot water tank bursting. Marty was at our home within the hour. He was able to answer all of our questions immediately. Marty worked diligently (even cleaned up)!!!! What more can a customer want!!! Do not hesitate to choose Beverly for all of your heating, cooling and plumbing needs. Hopefully, you will be lucky enough to have Marty do the work that is needed. I also notified the Better Business Bureau and did a very positive, commendable review for Beverly and Marty. BRAVO!!!!!! PLEASE NOTE: I have already begun telling my family and friends about the perfect work performed by Marty. I will absolutely refer Beverly to everyone I know!!

We had our furnace break down and our homeowners insurance sent beverly repair to check it out. There were many red flags for this company and repairman (like the overwhelming list of bad experiences people on my neighborhood list had written about) but we had no choice. The "repair" man lied to our homeowner insurance, exaggerating the condition of the unit and also completely making up statements that my husband and I had not made. He told us we needed a new unit, and then pulled out a sales catalog, offering to sell us a new one. Major red flag there. What repair man has the incentive to repair a unit, when they can sell a customer a new one for $4000 and make commission off of it? We ended up calling Sears, thank god. Stay away from Beverly!

WOW! Honesty and Integrity still exists!! I had an incident with my power line and called Beverly Services to come out and repair it. Their technician (Collin) called me back and I explained what had happened. He said that while he could certainly come out and fix it (and charge me, of course) that I should call West Penn Power as they will most likely rep;air it for free. I was appreciative of his honesty and will certainly keep their number handy when I am in need to an electrician. Way to go, Beverly Services!! Thank you for reassuring me that there are honest companies still around!!!

Our hot water tank had a leak and would not light properly. We have a home warranty, and Beverly Services is one of the companies that our warranty service had us call. We scheduled an appointment for days out, but they called back and were able to get to us that same day. John C. put in for approval as urgent, since we were without hot water. Fortunately for us, the warranty company approved it quickly, and by evening, we had a new water heater!. John was very friendly and answered any question I had. He was professional and considerate. Thank you, John C., and Beverly Services!

I would not suggest calling them for anything. The woman on the phone who schedules them to come to your house is very rude. They did not come as scheduled and the woman was rude to me when she called to tell me he could not come out today. What ever happened to customer service???? They lost my initial work order and now I have to wait 3 day for service. I will never use this company again - I suggest before hiring this company that people read all of these bad reviews - this many people cannot be wrong! I only wish that I would have read these before calling.

Mike did an excellent job of installing a ceiling fan in one of my bedrooms. What made the job challenging was that it is very difficult to get up into my attic to install the wiring above the ceiling. It requires the strength and dexterity to pull oneself up through a little trap door in a closet ceiling and to walk across the ceiling joists to the right location above the bedroom. Mike did a very competent job of doing the wiring, assembling and installing the fan, and cleaning up the work site.

Service: 01.30.13 (heating problem) Service was A+ Representative, Brian Jackson was at my door within an 1 1/2 hour from my call. He diagnosed the problem, had the necessary parts in his truck, and performed his work quickly and effiectively. He was very courteous, explained and showed what he was doing and why. The office force also did a splendid job by making three phone calls indicating: approximate arrival time, on his way, and satisfaction of service.

I have regular issues with my central heat/ac unit. I always call Beverly Services and request Fred to come out to fix it. He is my heater guy and I tell everyone I know to ask for him. The last time he came out, I had an intermittent issue with my ac unit and he came out 2 times and managed to pin down what the problem was and my ac is running great. He always tells me how my ac unit is running and never sugar coats the problems or inflates the costs to fix it.

Efficient work by Frank. He was friendly with our dog and worked as quietly as possible knowing my husband was sleeping in prep for night shift. He was training another coworker and was very patient with him. During his first evaluation visit, he even took the time to fix our downstairs shower knowing we would be without our upstairs shower because of the problem we called them for. Very thoughtful. I will only be calling Beverly for my home needs.

Steve and his work partner arrived on time. Very professional, very polite, explained one question I had about the coolant. Left the area leading to the crawl space where the equipment is in clean condition. Even locked my basement door for me when they left. Extremely pleased with the job and would welcome Beverly Services and employees like Steve back in the future. Beverly has been service my air conditioner for several years.

The service was great. Simon called to let me know when he would be there and he showed up exactly when he said. He was efficient and explained everything to me. He gave me the cost before he did any service, so there were no surprises. He took care of the issues he could, and referred me to another department. I received a call within a few hours from the other department. I would highly recommend Simon and Beverly Services.

AMAZING!!! These guys are no doubt the best around! They were quick, knowledgeable and they cleaned up after themselves!! We had a main sewage line break and they completed it all along with putting in new concrete sidewalks in 4 days. They ran into a few snags but never once inconvienced us. Scott was very knowledgeable about everything. He is also very friendly and funny! I would use them over and over again! Great job!

We called Beverly Services when our hot water tank developed a leak. Frank came within a couple hours of our call, found the problem and offered us two options--repair a valve or replace the tank. Since the tank was already at retirement age, we chose replacement. Frank returned the next day, worked quickly and efficiently, and was polite and respectful. Highest praise for Beverly Services and for Frank!

Jim was awesome he was referred to me by my friend to service my home through the service agreement i have with Beverly. i had company unexpected the day he did my service and i never new he was there except for letting him in my house and signing off on service. he is my #1 choice to service my home. and he loves my Labrador named toga. i think toga has a new best friend to visit every 6 mths .

We always use Beverly Services for our annual maintenance. Simon T. was great this year - helpful and quick. He explained everything, priced any additional costs (filter, etc) out before doing any work, and was very courteous. All the service providers at Beverly always keep my house clean and everything is left in order when they leave. Will continue to use them in the future.
