I purchased about 29 December 2015 for full coverage insurance on my Dodge Avenger 2014. On 1/1/16 I was involved in a car accident, within 24 hours of my accident I contacted my agent submitted my claim,providing the insurance company with all information requested to help pay off my car which was totaled in the accident. I have inquired with the company via phone several times to inquire about the status of pay out on my car only to be told “they are working on it” each time. Upon my last phone contact with the company, I was told that I had to contact my lawyer regarding the status of my car as they chose to no longer speak with me regarding the status of my car. Upon inquiry with my lawyer I was informed the original adjuster messed up the claim and my case had to be reassigned to another adjuster to start over. It has been three months since I originally filed the claim. Within hours the company declared my car a total loss, I feel that to date, this is an unreasonable amount of time to settle this issue. It customary that insurance takes possession of the vehicle for inspection, this was done within hours but I have had to continue to make a monthly payment of 480.00 for a car I no longer own for the last four months. This delay has made it difficult to provide for my family financially and physically .All I ask is that American Freedom rectify this situation by communicating with me or my lawyer at this point daily and settled expeditiously. The customer service with this company is the worst, its a maze just to talk to someone, everyone is always unsure, I am often placed on hold and at the time of this writing I was told they are unable to speak with me. I would like to recommend that no one does business with this company.

This is the worst insurance co ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I decided not to go to the shops where they recommend because they are all in horrible neighborhoods. I take it to my shop and have to pay extra because their labor rate is only $20. and they must only be paying their employees $10.00 an hour. Then I have to have supplement added to the policy after they had already given me a check for the original estimate and being that other parts were needed they reworked the whole estimate to favor them and the shop that I am having it repaired at owes them$18 now. How is that even possible. I have a $500.00 Deductable and it is going to cost me $1600.00 to get my car out of the shop. This is ridiculous considering I have been without my vehicle for over 2 months and still do not have it back and all along I have to pay for my own rental car. If you are even considering this insurance co I would strongly suggest you look somewhere else. I cannot give this co a zero star rating because the lowest rating is a one star.

Do not pay for this crap I had Fullcover insurance and my car was parked a truck isuranse Freedon damage was reported and commented that they could not do anything they are only good to collect the monthly fee is crap iii Dont pay for trash esta insurance. I HAD Fullcover and my car was parked a truck damaged it. I Freedon insurance and Informed They Said They couldnt do anything. There just good at making you pay the monthly fee !!!

To start - I am forced to give one star but would prefer ZERO STARS! This insurance company is a joke. For anyone who has been involved in an accident with one of their insured, GOOD LUCK! They are very unprofessional, the run around is ridiculous, they want you to sign off saying they are not responsible for anything else once the original insurance check is written. (Which they will not send you this check until you have already paid for the total amount of repairs out of pocket - so you are out the money until they decide to send you the check). They will not set up your rental, and expect you to pay for it under their conditions and then will possibly reimburse you at their convenience. I have never worked with an insurance company like this one who has absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. My opinion is to turn a claim into your own insurance and allow them to fight this battle for you.

This company is a joke. #1 The policy holder is most to blame for allowing individuals that are NOT covered on the policy drive their vehicles. Also having the vehicle that was being driven laps on coverage. #2 This company had the nerve to continue to act as if they were proceeding with the claim when in reality the whole thing was going to get dropped due to lack of coverage. #3 After already being informed that estimates were already done by reputable body shops, they still force u to go to one of their body shops. Body shops that have extremely poor customer satisfaction reviews. One review reveals one body shop even smoking in a non smokers car and leaving burn marks on the seat. So if u ever are involved in an accedent with someone that has this insurance company, go through your own for repairs.

This insurance company is the worst. Their representatives are ignorant and they clearly sont care about anyones claim or accident. I dont even feel lile ecplaining my horrible experience with them because it was that bad. But they decided to change my policy without my permission and add $180 a month just because my son has a license even tho he doesnt have a car mor drive mine. I highly recommend people to stay away from this garbage excuse of an insurance company. They only do things like that because pwople let them get away with it. I completly refuse.

I have had this insurance for 6 months and i have never dealt with a insurance company like american freedom by far they should not be in business!every month my installments due on the 15th, each month they send me a notice of cancellation 2 weeks prior to the due date with a lapse in coverage i get reinstated at no fault of my own.this does not look good on my part being reinstated each month when i make my payment a week before the due date! Bottom line do not do business with this company.....

Was involved into a small accident with property DAMAGES for $120. I December I called them, sent the bill, they said: you should not worry any more, we got it... Last week I received the second demand to pay this bill, from the claims company. 2 days before they were gonna send it to collection!! because I changed my address. So I sent them my check with express 1day priority mail, after being paying the premiums to these scambags ~$100/month

Horrible company...good luck on trying to get anything accomplished with them...They took MONTHS to finish my claim for minor body work...when you call they give you run arounds & sometimes hang up!..They are at the bottom of the bucket!
