We reached out to First Colony Mortgage after looking at some EDGE homes in Herriman, UT (First Colony Mortgage is their preferred lender). After calling several times over several days, we finally got a call back from Corey, but only after the EDGE homes realtor got involved. We gave him the information he said he needed in order to get us a pre-approval letter. Very quickly after we gave him our information, he said we were pre-approved and that he would send the letter to us the next day. We never received the pre-approval letter, even after texting him and emailing him multiple times to follow up. Not only did we not get the letter, but we never got any sort of response from him, ever, weeks later. His/their lack of response was both unprofessional and rude. Needless to say we went with another lender. I would never recommend First Colony Mortgage.

Jon was our mortgage officer who we worked with on our recent purchase of our first home. We were very happy with working with him. Since we had never gone through the process before he was helpful and explained everything to us and made the process simple. Those in the office were very friendly and easy to work with also. I also felt that we received that absolute best interest rate that we could. I would recommend them to all my friends and family and will go through First Colony Mortgage in our next home.

They did a great job of taking care of us and finding the best mortgage for us on the first go around. To make it better a year after our initial mortgage they contacted us letting us know that interest rates had dropped low enough to save us money on our monthly payment. Yes it makes them money to refi us but taking care of your customers to the point of letting them know how to save money over a year later is awesome customer service and loyalty!! I would definitely recommend Lane to others.

Working with Heather Bloyer at First Colony was a great experience and just what I had been looking for. She worked hard at getting me several options to choose from and is very knowledgable about the different loan programs that are out there. She communicated with me frequently and had my loan processed rather quickly.
