On 29 August 2011, Merrell Home Improvement came to my house for an estimate to tear-off and re-shingle my roof along with repairing about 30ft of fascia. The quote for the repairs was $6,200 and I paid a down payment of $3,100 by check. The representative could not give me an exact date of when they would be out to do the work on my house but guaranteed me that the work would be completed by 9 September 2011. My house was in a contract for sale, pending the completion of the roof. I had informed the representative of this issue and told him that I absolutely had to have the work completed by the time he had guaranteed. He assured me that my house was small and would only take one day to complete and there would be no issues. The contractors came out to my house on 8 September 2011 and started the work. They were only there a couple of hours and only completed about 1/4 of the roof. They came again on 9 September 2011 and completed another 1/4 of the roof. I called the representative and told him that the work was not completed by the guaranteed time and he assured me that the work would be done on Saturday, 10 September 2011. I stressed to the representative that I needed the work done so I could have the appraisal completed to close the sale of my house. The contractors did come to my house on 10 September 2011 but did not complete the work. They also left a small portion of my roof unfinished with exposed wood showing over the weekend. It rained fairly hard at my house on Saturday 10 September 2011, and I had exposed wood showing on my roof!! The owner of the company was supposed to call me on 12 September 2011, so we could discuss the issues. I called the representative several times informing him that I had yet to receive a call from the owner. The representative finally told me that the owner would call me first thing in the morning on 13 September. As of 1047, 13 September 2011, I have still not received a call and the work is still not finished. The rate lock for my home buyers has expired and I have lost the sale. If you want you work to be done in a timely manner and at a resonable price GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

Horrible!!!!!!!!!! Horrible!!!!!!!! Experience!!!!!!!!!!! I had met with a man to discuss repair options with my pillars on my house and was told by Randy that my pillars would be adjusted and reset because they are crooked (which is why I was having the work done in the first place). And when the guy came out to my house (his name was Joel) to do the pillars, he left the siding on the side of my concrete porch, damaged the concrete, and then the company refused to fix it or reimburse me my money. The owner, Jennifer started yelling at me and telling me I was being rude because I was upset the work was not done the way it was supposed to be done and what I was told would be done and what was written in my contract!!!!!! Never go with this company!!!!! They are horrible to work with and will steal your money!!!!!!

The positive first, they do really good work, I have no complaints with quality, back deck is sturdy and my basement walls have been dry since they resealed them. The Negative, if you let them have free rain they will do whatever they want and not what is on the contract. For most people not a problem since they are home, I was out of town and when I got back they willingly and knowingly gave me a 12 foot patio, contract was specific about 15 foot, no phone call, text message or email. It was not until I started asking questions that they gave me any explanation at all. Also it took them 5 months to do a job they swore would of been done before I got home. And all I got was excuses about weather and availability which I understand, but not 5 months. Beware, they are good, but you have to watch them.

where do i begin, Mark came and gave us a bid and we ask how long would it take to build the garage, he said 3-4 weeks and once the job started someone would be on site everyday till it was finished, it took 4 months. when i tried to cancel i was told the trusses had already be ordered when they finally came the bill said they were ordered a month afteri tried to cancel. we were told all work would be done by merrill employees but most work was subed out. we were going to refinance to have just one payment at a low interest rate but because they took so long to finish that fell through also. DONT USE THESE PEOPLE

I immediately felt comfortable with Tamra – she was very professional and courteous and really knew the products. It never felt like she was trying to do a ‘sell’ job on me which I very much appreciated. On the day of the installation, 4 guys showed up to install my 10 windows at the promised time, went quickly and efficiently to work and cleaned up after themselves in the evening. They were all very courteous and actually left my house cleaner than it was when they started!

The staff at Merrell Home Improvement did an outstanding job on our patio cover. It turned out even more stunning and beautiful than we had imagined! The cover has taken a previously useless deck (in the summer) and turned it into the focal point for entertaining in our home. Many of our neighbors and friends have had nothing but praise for how it turned out and how well it blends in with the original house.

This company came and replaced our roof after a storm. The man who came to assess the damage was very courteous and thorough and worked with our insurance company to make sure we were taken care of. On the day of the repairs they came in and got the work done quickly and efficiently. We will call them in the future for remodeling inside the home as well.

Call the office and wanted them to come out and give us an estimate on a sun room with a basement underneath. Man can out and talked really good. Told us he would give us a call regarding the price, that was probably 2 to 3 months ago now. Still waiting..... just I might as well give up and call maybe someone who really wants a job....

OMG Please do not use these guys. I had to sign a contract, was not given a start date and now 9 weeks later I still do not have the product installed. I have made numerous phone calls and was told they would have a man named Chip to call me back. I still have not heard from this man. Poor businees practice.
