If you want a company that has integrity and High-Quality Workmanship these are your guys. I used Gilmore in the past for previous work and they’ve always done excellent service. So when my original HVAC unit was deemed “too old” and replaced by the home warranty. It was Gilmore I choose when it was required that yearly maintenance was required to maintain the warranty on unit. So when I began having problems with the unit it was Gilmore that brought to my attention that the unit was improperly installed and the steps that needed to be done. Despite having several contractors coming out through warranty company telling me otherwise. Gilmore did not have to do that they could have been like the others and took my money and turn a blind eye to the issue. That’s integrity so when the company contracted by the warranty refuse to work with me or replace it a claim was submitted. It was investigated by the Contractor Board not only was the unit improperly installed to cut cost. There was never an inspection done or a permit pulled. Which resulted in the company being fined and having to pay restitution to me. So when it came time choose a company to replace it there was only one company I had in mind to do it right Gilmore! First off Matt, the technician who came to provide me with an estimate made me feel automatically at home. He was friendly very detail-oriented when gathering information and inspecting unit and ducts. Very thorough when explaining HVAC selections, prices and finance options. When questions arose he was able to answer the questions and provide documentation. He was honest not trying to sell me on a unit or service that I did not need. The price was very reasonable and he made every effort to get me the best package price. That same superb customer service carried over on installation day James and Daivon were timely, friendly and very professional. The installation of the HVAC and duct replace was very thorough and efficient. They kept us informed throughout the entire installation process. Provided pictures and gave training on how to use the thermostat. I will never go through my home warranty again and my mistake was not initially going through them. Thank You Matt, James and Daivon for turning a nightmare to a blessings. Gilmore has a customer for life and happy and grateful homeowner.

The Gilmore technician, DJC arrived and asked me to describe the problem. I explained that the 15 year old furnace did not turn on when the thermostat commanded it to. He immediately entered the attic and determined, by looking at the error code lights, that the vacuum switch was not being activated. A visual inspection indicated that corrosion in the inducer assembly port prevented the exhaust fan from pulling a vacuum, which prevented the vacuum switch from being activated. He was not able to clean the port from the outside, so he disassembled the inducer assembly and cleared the port from the inside. He also explained that the inducer assembly was corroded on the inside and the port would become corroded at some point in the future. He recommended that we consider replacing the furnace since there was corrosion on the blower motor, the burners and the heat-exchanger as well. We will consider replacing the furnace since it is at the end of its useful life. DJC was friendly and patient, as well as knowledgeable about this particular problem and about furnaces in general. Gilmore has always been, and will continue to be, our "go-to" company for our heating and air needs.

I called GIlmore when I noticed the A/C not able to keep the house cool in the 100+ temps. We waited about 4 weeks in the sweltering heat. When the "repairman" arrived he looked the unit over and gave us the news: all 8# of Freon had leaked out, $9800 to repair or (surprise, surprise) they could install a new one for only $10,000. We declined and the salesman/repairman offered to send someone else out to see if he could find some kind of special offer since our unit was only 10 years old but used the old R22 Freon. We declined again. The next day called an outfit from Auburn, this was a Friday morning. He said it would be a couple of weeks, but after hearing the story made the appointment for the following Monday. Within 90 minutes of his arrival the house was beginning to cool down. It was only a missing gasket and needed 2# of Freon for a total of $380. A whopping 96% less that we had been quoted.

Our furnace went out on a stormy/rainy night. Jason was our service technician from Gilmore Heating/Air/Solar. We have used Gilmore for all our heating/air conditioning needs for the past 25 years. Jason was prompt answering the call, very friendly and very helpful. Found problems with the electronics in the furnace unit. As our furnace is 14 years old, a new part had to be ordered. To keep us warm until the part arrived, he was able to make a temporary repair. Took only 2 days for new part to arrive. Jason returned immediately to make the full repair. He is a very friendly and an exceptional technician. He explained everything he did and had many pictures on his computer pad to explain and show to me all his work. I appreciate that very much. In the future I will request Jason when I need heating/air conditioning service from Gilmore Heating. Thank You

This company rates five stars in all areas; Courtesy, Professionalism, Followup, Knowledge of equipment, and total customer satisfaction after the sale or service. Ryan Nelson, the Service Pro that came to my home to service my AC system was like a breath of fresh air with his customer care attitude and professional manner. He answered every question or concern I had and actually renewed my faith that quality service and concern for the customer is still a benchmark that some companies strive to live up to. Allen Suetos: What a nice young man and very respectful. Allen is very knowledgeable as an HVAC technician. He came in and performed his safety inspection with pictures and explained everything that he found in his inspection about what caused my central heat not to work again with pictures. The problem was a bad ignitor and a bad capacitor, after he gave me the estimate I told him to replace them. Because of Allen Suetos I became a Gilmore service club member. I am happy to say that Gilmore Heating, Air, and Solar has a very well trained young man in Allen Suetos and Gilmore is lucky to have Allen as there HVAC TECH. Ryan came out to discus my options for a new heating and air system. He was very thorough and even was brave enough to crawl around under the house taking pictures even after I told him I could not guarantee that it would be critter free. He explained everything clearly, gave me lots of options including not doing anything. After making a decision he was very patient and worked hard to get me financing. My new system will be installed next week. Ryan was polite, knowledgeable and listened to my concerns and spent as much time with me as I needed. I did not feel pressure to make a decision. I have had Gilmore out several times to keep my heater limping along as long as possible and the service people have been nothing but nice, professional and friendly. I will be a life long customer!

We called Gilmore Heating and Air when our air conditioning went out. We had another company come out first, but they were not helpful at all. With Gilmore Heating and Air, the technician who came out and looked at our unit was very professional and helpful. After talking with the technician, and considering the age of our units, we met with Ryan Nelson to discuss options on replacing our units. Ryan was very knowledgeable, professional, and accommodating, and as a result we purchased two new units to be installed. So far our experience with Gilmore Heating and Air has been exceptional, and we feel we were able to make a very informed decision to replace our units.

Could not be happier! Our AC went out in the evening and the forecast was predicting over 100 degrees for the next day or two. I contacted their after-hours service and in the morning received a call back with a time estimate for a couple hours later. The technician showed up when they said, listened to the issue we were having and immediately had his suspicions to the source of our issue. Before continuing he clearly explained what would be involved and costs associated. Our unit is over 15years old but he was still able to provide a solution with the parts stocked in his van and had us cooling down within an hour of his arrival. Thanks Gilmore! Dave Fox

Great job!! Had a dual zone, dual stage HVAC unit installed. Matt provided all the info for me to choose the best system for our needs. Jimmy and RJ did a very professional install. Had some unexpected issues that were related to the existing wiring and duct work. These were handled quickly and professionally by Bob, Ray and Allen at no cost to me. Used the HERO loan program which Matt helped guide me through. Got a great system that is quiet and efficient. Installation and service are the key to a properly working system. The team at Gilmore works together to ensure that the customer is satisfied and the install is second to none.

Allen S. came to perform the winter health checkup for the HVAC system. He was very thorough in his inspections. After doing a great crab walk under our house he came out with lots of pictures of our system and the work he performed. He checked that the voltages and gas pressures were correct for the various systems that make up the HVAC system. He also fixed the condensation drain line that was not installed correctly. The condensation is now draining out side the foundation instead of under the house. This is our third visit from Allen and we appreciate his due diligence in working on our system. I am a new customer of Gilmore and I cannot express how pleased I am with their staff, reliability and performsnce. Yesterday they came to service my system which had not been done for years. Humberto stayed far past his regular work hours to make sure it was done right and to my satisfaction. Today Ryan and John came to recharge the system exactly when they had promised. I had heard to be cautious the some HVAC companies would try to sell products not needed but after these encounters I have confidence in what Gilmore advises and their services provided.

I called Gilmore in dire need and under the influence of other internet reviews. I am happy to say Gilmore was outstanding. I just purchased, and I just moved into a new (to me) home outside of Placerville. Immediately following the move, the AC blower stopped. Gilmore sent Jason who was as courteous as he was knowledgeable - yet there was never a hint he might take advantage of his knowledge to take advantage of us - he is as ethical as he is knowledgeable. I highly recommend Gilmore when you are in trouble and that infers they can be trusted other times.
