My husband and I were notified on the eve of our due diligence period ending that our lender was dissatisfied with the insurance arrangements we had made and paid for. At my first opportunity, I contacted Home First, the alternate agency suggested by my realtor. Jordan Davis was, throughout the process, cordial, efficient, patient, and effective at producing a result I was perfectly satisfied with. Meanwhile, the lender, despite having been told to contact me while my husband was at work that day, had provided an alternative to my husband without notifying me. At his first opportunity, my husband secured a product with that other agency., and this product better satisfied the underwriters. I cancelled my arrangements made with Home First due to requirements of the lender, not due to dissatisfaction on my part. In fact, the product offered by Home First was a better value. Jordan Davis was out of the office, but, being aware of the problem, and left sufficient information that another agent was as able to help and Jordan. My entire experience start to finish was positive. Should I face a similar issue in the future, my preference would be Home First, and if/when it arises, I would recommend them to others quite readily. Chrysse Everhart, NC

We recently went through Hurricane Harvey which left our home destroyed. Before this we had a nice home that was perfectly livable. When we returned home 2 weeks later we came home to soaked walls, floors, mold and doors that had shifted about an inch and a half. We had filed a claim as soon as we had to leave for Harvey due to needing lodging help. At that time we were assured we had Hurricane coverage. This gave my wife and I comfort that we were covered no matter what we went home to. Wrong . We were later told that there was an exclusion to the hurricane policy that excluded wind driven rain that our SEALS WERE WORN allowing the rain to enter. WTH who even knows about seals. They take your money and give you a false sense of comfort and coverage then find every loophole to deny your claim leaving a family homeless and nowhere to go. We kept up with our home and all maintenance we could possible think of but now over night we are left with nothing! We have had to consider an Attorney now. This is horrible for them to do to hard working families. Appointment with a law firm in the morning. I know we can not be the only family.

I have had my homeowners insurance with Home First for about 14 years and had enough trust in Home First to recommend them to my step-mother. I called Home First to get a quote and was lucky enough to speak to Aaron Clabo. From the beginning of our conversation to the end, Aaron was a perfect gentleman, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. He walked me thru the whole process and was able to give my step-mother a quote that was half the price of what her current insurance company was charging. She loved the idea that flood insurance was included, whereas her current provider did not offer this and she had to have two policies. I have never had to file a claim, and for that I am truly blessed, so all I can rate and review is on the customer service that was been provided to me in the past 15 years on my policy, and on the customer service for my step-mother by Aaron Caleb. Home First customer service has been excellent!

I would recommend Homefirst Agency to anyone who is looking for a 1st rate insurance company. I had my insurance with a name brand insurance company for 10+ years and then had a claim. At that time I found out that my coverage had been reduced not to cover replacement coverage which is what I originally bought. I never received a call or letter to let me know that this had been changed. Of course it is bad to find this out when you have a claim and it was after we had a bad hail storm and we had a lot of damage. We had done a lot of upgrades to our home so I needed replacement coverage. I began looking for replacement coverage and it seemed that no one offered this. I finally found this with Homefirst Agency. Their policy also includes flood coverage which is a plus if needed. If you are looking for a first rate company go with Homefirst. You get the coverage that you need!!!!!

I would like to personally thank Joshua Jones at Homefirst Agency Inc. for the outstanding job he did for me, after my home was completely destroyed by a fire. He was so polite and caring, he explained in detail each step of the process so as to ensure my claim might have less hold ups, and when he wasnt available one of his other colleagues was more than happy to take the time out to help even tho they had more than the usual amount of claims due to the recent hurricane. Worst Insurance company ever!! Had 2 tornados hit my home within 6 weeks. They have still not resolved the first claim which is now almost 13 weeks post claim. The amount that they tried to settle was ridiculous ($429). They actually put in writing that they were allowing 73 Cents to repair/replace several pieces of siding that had blown off. I was in the process of getting my own estimates when the second tornado hit. We are now 52 days post claim on that one and homeless and still have no resolution and just get the runaround when I try to communicate with them. It is a shame when you have to hire an attorney to sue your own insurance company.

Just wanted to add an update: I had my roof repaired and replaced, but the cost was a little more than the original estimate. Josh Jones and Homefirst Agency came through for me again!
