To: ARS Rescue Rooter 1/30/16 I wanted to write to you to express the fantastic customer service we received from Jonathan Lewis today. We recently moved into our new house in NC from Fla, thus heat and ac work much differently here. While we have only been in the house almost 8 months now, the house is only 2-2 ½ years old. We woke up to find it freezing upstairs and digital thermostat not working. We thought maybe like in Fla, just needs a new battery in thermostat. Learned very quickly there is no battery, thermostat is wired electronically into the house. Unbeknown to me my wife had already called the phone number on the thermostat which was the ARS #. I then had concerns that this may be an expensive job since we are not that knowledgeable, based on initial cost to come out, and being new to area and not having our previous HVAC person we may be in for trouble. We had used the same HVAC guy in Fla for 15 years so had a great deal of trust in him, thus concerned about using company I had no previous relationship with etc. Jonathan arrived and after a short time let us know it was a blown fuse in the unit. However he wanted to find out the root cause as to the blown fuse to avoid it happening again. Jonathan checked breakers in garage, unit inside house, outside house, under crawl space etc. He was very thorough which we liked, but already had that queasy feeling the bill would be high. Have to tell you we were blown away by Jonathan in all areas. Jonathan was very professional, extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly, explained everything to us as he continued to root cause and represents your company in a terrific manner. Beside the amazing amount of knowledge he displayed, it was his overall pleasant demeanor which truly stood out, and made us feel comfortable from the moment he arrived. What then truly impressed us was that Jonathan informed us that the root cause of the blown fuse was the manner in which the wiring was initially installed and that falls on ARS and not the homeowner. He let us know he had fixed the issue and that he now was going to call his supervisor and based on this was RNC ( residential new construction ) issue etc that he was going to try and get all fees waved. We were blown away that after close to 90 minutes of trying to solve issue that Jonathan would even be so honest with us. We have heard horror stories , and experienced our own in the past with some businesses for home type repairs. To say we were impressed would be an understatement. Jonathan returned after speaking to his field supervisor to let us know all charges were waived including the fee to come out to our home. He let us know that ARS takes great pride in ensuring their customers are treated fairly, they stand by their work and is about having customers for life and knowing they can count on ARS. He let us know if we have any issues not to hesitate to call. We were blown away, amazing. We were so impressed with Jonathan, and ARS, please consider us customers from this point on. We will be telling everyone about our family’s great experience with Jonathan and ARS and will post this email on the Wake Forest Community Page on Facebook. I think too many people in society are always too quick to call or write and complain about poor performance, customer service, so I thought it was important that I write to let your team know what a fantastic person you have in Jonathan. We also feel reassured knowing it I have any concerns/ questions, or issues that may pop up that we do not need to be concerned based on the recent experience with Jonathan and ARS. If you could please pass this email along to Mike Honeycutt (Jonathans Field Supervisor I assume ), Jonathan and the respective ARS Rescue Rooter Management staff, along with the Regional and Divisional field VP that would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the great work. .

Richard was top notch ! He diagnosed and fixed my issue with my gas hot water heater in less than a minute. I was having trouble lighting the pilot and he went through the process step by step. The instructions on the side of the water heater did not say how long to hold the control knob down when lighting the pilot. We discussed the history of the heater and prognosis in a few years. He gave me a rough estimate of the cost of replacement (the heater ) and the cost of replacing the thermocouple just in case it goes out. We discussed whether or not it would be in the best interest to flush the heater out. Also, I received a tutorial in sacrificial anodes. I did not know they existed in a gas water heater. He later asked me if he could check other items. He checked out and made adjustments and recommendations for all five of my toilets. They are now in perfect working order. He suggested that I could replace one of my flappers if I wanted to. I replaced it later that day. He even suggested the best brand. He checked my pressure readings from multiple faucets and rechecked them even on another gauge. He took temperature readings for the hot water at several faucets throughout. I have never seen a more thorough service than was given to me by Richard and ARS. I will most definitely use them again and will ask for Richard. He was punctual, professional, courteous and a call was given to me by the dispatcher about an hour before he arrived. Kudos to Richard and ARS !

Mr. Mhaidra was on time, very courteous and completely respectful. He immediately went to work performing the bi-annual inspections on both of our heating and cooling units. When Mr. Mhaidra did find a problem with one of the cooling units, he was very thorough in his explanation of the problem, pointed out exactly where the problem was, and gave me several options which I could consider to fix, or at least alleviate, the malfunction. Once I had considered and chose a corrective action, Mr. Mhaidra fully explained the charges associated with my chosen option, and he then investigated and lobbied for every and all price savings, discounts and warranty credits for which I would be eligible. Not once did Mr. Mhaidra attempt to "hard sell" or "over sell" a service or device. Home HVAC maintenance can be very expensive, but Mr. Mhaidra certainly alleviates the "pain" associated with repairs / upgrades due to his complete knowledge of the options available, his attempts to assist the customer in every way possible, his respect for my family, our home and his representation of his company. If all service field technicians were like Mr. Mhaidra, then ARS would own an entire lock on the HVAC service and repair market.

We had several companies come out to our home to give us quotes for a new HVAC sytem, ARS being one of them. The sales lady that came out seemed very nice and professional. She gave us a very thorough quote and we were very impressed. Once we received three other quotes, all of which were $2000-$3000 more expensive than ARS, we informed the sales lady that we would not being using her services. It was like Jekyll and Hyde. Her once professional demeanor was gone and she became very snappy over the phone. She wanted to know what company we were going with and even wanted us to send her a copy of the quote. I explained to her that we had already signed paperwork and made our decision. Over the course of the next three days, she sent myself and my husband emails, text messages, phone calls at 8:00 at night, and even a certified letter via FedEx. She even threatened us and tried to bully us into using ARS by telling us that we would have to pay to have permits transferred over to the new company even though we did not sign any paperwork or put any money down. Needless to say, I will not be using ARS for any of my home repairs and I do not recommend this company. Completely unprofessional.

My experience with ARS was exceptional. All the techs that were involved are to be commended on their professionalism, attention to detail & their courtesy. I would and have highly recommended your company to my friends. The job and estimated time of complection were accurate. My home was left in a neat manor. I would like to express with pleasure my thanks to all your techs that were involved in the re-piping of my home by listing them below. Please thank them for a job done well. William B., the tech that gave the estimate of the work to be done Richard R. & Brandon J., the techs that did the actual re-piping Benjamin S., the tech that applied the air test before the instection And last but not least Christopher C., the tech that took the air pressure equipment off my pipes and turned the water back on. All of the above techs were great workers, and they all knew what they were doing. My impression was that they were all very well trained in their field which gave me confidence in their ability to get the job done & done right the first time. Thank you so much for your fine service. Sonia S Torres-Quinones & Sarah P Davis Owner & Resident

I had a stool that had a discoloration from the anchor side. also I noticed that when in the Guest bathroom my nose would run. The ARS Plumber came and removed the stool, scraped the residue from the previous setting. He attempted to use a standard sealing unit, however it did not properly seal. He used another type of Sealer that he brought with him and made the proper seal. He also put an additional external around the base of the stool to assure no waste gas would escape. He determined that because my house was on a Slab and not even that the previous seal was not effective. in addition to this problem I mentioned that I was not getting very hot water in the shower. He determined that the shower valve was defective and as he had a replacement n his truck changed that also. Now I have 120 degree water in my shower and a stool that is solid and will mot leak waste gas. I have had ARS do my Plumbing for many years and have always been satisfied with their service. The Dispatchers have always given me courteous and prompt service.

In all of my experiences, this company has been absolutely the worst! I have never been treated so poorly, told I was a liar and had two supervisors not have any concern for another human being. These people lie to keep their jobs and install units improperly and the customer has to pay the price! I want everyone in my area and surrounding areas to know never to use this company. The company states if you are not 100% satisfied with our customer service a full refund will be given. Yet another lie from a completely horrid company! We were told by Benny our part would be overnighted and repair would happen when we scheduled it. The company never showed and had no remorse to try and fix the situation. They refused to pay for a hotel, take any money off our $1200 bill for a problem they caused on installation of our unit. We have 3 cats and oxygen tanks in our house and I had to suffer for 6.5 days in 87 degrees! This company called me a liar and refused to do anything and tried to push me off onto another company.

My Service Pro Shean Taylor was very knowledgeable as well as helpful. He explained in detail the issue was with my A/C, the cost and answered all my questions. The day he came I was very sick with a sinus infection and my house was at least 87 degrees because the central A/C unit stopped working. He was on time (the dispatcher stated he would be 45 minutes and he was). It took him about ten minutes to assess and fifteen minutes to fix the problem with my A/C unit outside. It actually took longer to complete the paperwork because I went through Home Depot than it took for Shean to fix my A/C. Although I was coughing, sneezing and blowing my nose, he remained professional and wished me a speeding recovery upon leaving. I did some research on the cost after I was feeling better (I thought the cost was a little expensive) however, ARS was $50 cheaper than the three companies I contacted and explained the issue I had with my A/C. I would recommend ARS as well as Shean Taylor.

First they looked up my equipment (which they installed) ans was told the repair would be under warrenty. When they arrived they said it would not be covered under warranty. What gives. Then the situation when downhill. This company is very overpriced. I paid $99 for the service charge to come out. Very reasonable. I needed a blower bracket replaced. They quoted me $215 for a part I priced over the internet for $34.00. After they replaced that, I still had an issue with the blower wheel. They charged me $353 for the replacement of the wheel. Once again I priced it over the internet for $45. This company uses a price for a job which is always more expensive then a time and materials price. I will never use them again because of the way their price their repairs and you would be smart to reevaluate all your options. I ended up shelling out about $600 for about $75 of parts for simple blower part replacement work.
