I have to go to the Nationwide building for hearings related to my work injury. Not crazy about going to the hearings, but I love the atrium in the Nationwide building complex. Its wonderful. There are palm trees and ferns and a variety of other tropical type plants. Its basically an indoor jungle. So before or after my hearing I will sit on a bench for a bit of time and just relax, calm down. This past winter it was a very nice place to go to, particularly when it was freezing and snowy outside. The indoor jungle was nice and warm. It really helped revitalize my spirit. As far as I can tell the atrium area is open to the general public during normal business hours (8-5). You can enter off the street, or walk to the Nationwide complex from the convention center over the pedestrian bridge. Wonderful place, not sure if Nationwide is particularly on my side, but I love their indoor garden.

It is part of the headquarter office complex of Nationwide Insurance. It is connected via fully enclosed above ground walking bridges to its adjacent buildings, including Columbus Convention Center and Hyatt Hotel. Besides the bridges, it is also fully meshed via underground tunnels to other close by Nationwide office buildings, such as Plaza 1 & 2.

The atrium is like a rain forest. There is a gift shop and a bakery on the lower level. Great place to relax if you work at Nationwide or in the surrounding buildings.
