"Health Care with Heart" Absolutely not! I am a new subscriber because my husband changed jobs and his company health insurance will not start until July 1st. I am an asthmatic. I have had the SAME asthma medications for 6 years. My current PCP just happens to be on spring break with her family. She was kind enough on her vacation to contact an in network pharmacy for my refill. When I went to pick up my prescription, the pharmacy tech informed me that CareSource requires a doctor authorization to fulfill. My doctor who is in a family practice with her husband will not be back in the office until Monday! Hence the reason for her call to the pharmacy because everyone knows a person with asthma cannot go without their medication. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with CareSource. Without a piece of paper, no medication was their answer. They gave me two options: 1- Pay for the Rx out of pocket. $248.00 and then maybe they will reimburse. Could not guarantee they would. 2- Go to an urgent care to get the doctor authorization. If anyone has been to urgent care, they do not know you or your history. Unnecessary tests would be done to conclude I do in fact has asthma which was already determined 6 years ago. Either option is very costly over a medically necessary prescription. Shame on CareSource and their red tape! This insurance does not look out for the well being of its subscribers. Take your hard earned money elsewhere! I will more than likely be making a trip to urgent care as I cannot go without my asthma medication that long. And I will definitely not refer anyone to this company. So my countdown begins to July 1st!

This Insurance is the worst health care provider. I have been asking for a provider directory since January 2016 today is April 1, 2016 and i still have not received the directory. I have called every month and I have been told we will send one out today. 4 months later and I still have not received the directory. Now I am being told the directory is being updated and they do not know when it is going to be completed!!!!!!! I have never heard of anything like this. IF YOU HAVE THEM AS A PROVIDER I WOULD SUGGEST THAT YOU DUMP THEM.!!!!!!! i AM NOW QUESTIONING THE FACT WILL MY MEDICAL BILLS BE PAID!!!!!!!!!

The credentialing department is impossible to reach. I have left numerous messages on the answering machine. None of them have been returned, suprise suprise. Medicaid is supposed to be a program to help out economically disadvantaged individuals. Many medical/dental providers shy away from medicaid for this same reason. Caresource has been terribly difficult to work with.

This Insurance sucks.. Im a type 1 Diabetic and I have alot of issues with them for getting my medical supplies. Or I get Generic crap nothing good.. I have also been waiting no joke for months now. to get my card in the mail I keep on calling and calling Even wrote a Email asking to Send me my Caresource Card still nothing back...

Horrible!!!!! *Customer service is incompetent & unprofessional. *Payments have been completely screwed up since I have enrolled. *Have spent at least 5 hours on the phone in the last 2 months- being assured every time that the problem was handled.
