This is my first time using an insurance of this kind. So far the health issues that I need addressed are still in the process since April. Every time I see my PCP, Its very uncomfortable and you can hear his employees complain and talk about you. I also was referred to a few specialists... which have been an interesting story within itself. I had testing ordered and I learned that I have to wait so my test can be approved. Well the day of the test I was told that my PCP had to do a referral to the test. I never had to do that before. Upon calling PCP, the employee was very snippy and acted as If it was a HUGE LENGTHY process. Which astounded me. Because I am In the medical field and I know its a moment to sign on and input 3 different codes.. and voila.... its done. Well here I am.. in constant pain and stress. Now having to wait another...who knows how long to get help. Also, Upon making an appoint for glasses, I was told I could NOT be seen on the weekends... because of my insurance. I never heard of that before either, I just see how you are classified as second rate. I did see a surgeon, and again with a prior auth needed, I did call and spoke to someone at THC, who had not addressed it. During our conversation, she complained about not having enough time and being too busy to basically do her work, It was a very unprofessional attitude, I understood how she felt, but her job overload was not my problem. I dont think I would get this insurance ever again. Too much work and time to be used just to get help for yourself.

Total Heatlh Care is not accepted by the most providers. Also my experience has been horrific, I went to pick up my insulin they allowed me to get the most expensive (Lantus) but told me that I needed a prior authorization for the cheaper (Novolog). When I asked why the rep said because it could be used for something else. I said excuse me Novolog is only used for DIABETICS there is no other use. I have just had a horrible experience, when I called to get doctors who participate with my policy, rather than the rep asking for my group or member number she just gave me doctors names and numbers in the area in which I was in, however upon arriving to those doctors offices they told me that they did not accept my plan because it was a HMO and I figured if they had of checked that when I first called I would not have been driving around Warren, MI to four doctors offices who said the exact same thing. No customer service tactics at all. I would never chose them again if my life depended on it!

I want to know why the cost of my scripts is not going toward my deductible. II want to know why my pre- authorization isn’t going through. AND, I want to know that why when I got a call from one of your representatives she rudely could not give me an answer as to where my pre- authorization is and why it wasen’t being processed, why when I gave you a list of the medications I was on and the cost from the pharmacy I have paid out of ocket it isn’t enough to put it toward my deductible of 1000.00 dollars. I have paid more than twice as much out of pocet and want it to go toward my deductible! Why else do I have health insurance and not just pay for everything as is, if you will not put it toward my deductible? I want answers and I want them now! I do not want to talk to some one who doesn’t care, doesn’t understand why it is happening or is going to be rude to me because they feel I am bothering them! -

I have only had 3 treatments but so far so it is hard to say. I was disappointed that they did not recommend the new decompression machine to relive the pressure on the spine between disc. they went to regular chiropractor treatments. If that is the case why drive 40 miles each time for a treatment when I could go to a chiropractor in my home town.

web site down again June 18th 2014 January 6 2017. Returned to THC because it was all I could afford in the market place. Liked them before except web site was always down. I see nothing has changed. Email address for customer service does not work and since they are only opened during working hours, working people can not contact them.

Garbage = Total health care. They terminated my insurance and said i have a balance due. I have 3 month of bills that say 0 BALANCE DUE yet they terminated my account without any notice. Customer service over the phone think they own customer and are entitled. They are like the walmart of health insurance. NEVER AGAIN!

Customer service was great. I called to ask if I could change my pcp right away, rather than having to wait the full month like it said on the website, and the very polite man changed it and gave me some information all within five minutes. No wait time on the phone either (Friday afternoon).

I just paid for and signed my two kids up through a Michigan Blue Care Network policy. I received a bill for both of them today from this company. I have no idea where they got the information but they are not going to underwrite their policies. Oh yeah, by the way, OBAMACARE SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. This company is a scam. Do yourself a favour and go with someone else. I end up paying about the same without insurance with my monthly bill and 50% copay. Terrible customer service.
