On 11/1, I had to wait three hours with zero plumbing because the t-line plug valve broke (AB May provided this "service"). 8 days later the plug fell off and was cracked. I called AB May at 9:22 in the morning. They said someone could come on Wednesday. Due to the fact that I had zero plumbing available, I said it was an emergency and it could not wait till Wednesday without anyone in the house being able to use the bathroom, take a shower, wash their hands etc. I was told I would be added to the list and all they could do was give me 30 minutes notice. I called in the noon hour to get an estimate arrival time and was told late afternoon. I began to move my afternoon work meetings to another day. I called at 3 and was told there was no estimate of arrival and that there were 3 houses in front of me. By four I cancelled my evening plans. At 4:30 I called and was told there was one house in front of me. At 5:30 I called and was told the plumber was finishing a house and I would be next and I asked to speak to a supervisor who ensured me that the next available plumber would be at my house and that this situation was unacceptable. At 6:30 I called and was told the plumber was finishing a house and I was next and I spoke to another supervisor who told me that at 9:30 it was marked as a non-emergency. By 6:50 a plumber was at my house and explained to me that he had already been on one call back service today and that the plug broke because the original AB May plumber incorrectly installed it in the first place. The plumber tried every plug that he had in the truck and none fit. He informed me that the part center closed at 4:30 or he would be able to go to their parts center and find a plug that would fit. Keep in mind, I had called at 9:22 in the morning and no one had come to my house until 6:50.At 7:30, the plumber was still on a phone call with his supervisor trying to figure out a solution to this problem caused by AB May. Meanwhile I have been 10 hours without plumbing, had to reschedule meetings at work and cancel my evening plans because the original AB May plumber failed to do a good job, the original dispatcher did a poor job and every dispatcher after him failed do correct the error. The plumber had to jimmy rig a solution (wrapped the broken plug with plastic) and I was told someone would be back in the morning around 9 am. I now have to move meetings in the mornings as well. As a customer, period this has been unacceptable. As a Gold service member of AB May for 2 years this is beyond acceptable.

Today I called for a walk through to see if the Gold plan was the best option for our new house. They were able to get someone to my house within 1.5 hours. The company actually called to let me know the technician was on his way; the technician arrived promptly. The technician was very professional and courteous, even put on shoe covers each time he came inside from outdoors. The technician was very patient with all my questions and concerns; he took the time to explain each in detail, felt comfortable based on his professionalism and detailed response. The technician did find that the capacitor in the second floor heat pump was bad, I did not know because the unit did come on but was blowing cooler than expected air. Although ABMay has various options, the technician listened to what I was looking for instead of pushing options I did not need or want. The technician did inform me of options available based on the equipment in my home and questions I asked, but I never felt pressured. Although in the past I typically take care my own equipment, with a busy work schedule and knowing it will be done right for a fair value, I definitely recommend AB May to service your home.

We have been on the AB Gold plan for a while now and this includes preventative maintenance on our HVAC. All the technicians that have come out are good, but we had Drew E for the first time the other day and I have to say he is outstanding!!! We have lived in our home for 4 years now and have been trying to figure out why two of our rooms in the house were not getting as good of AC and heat as the others. In the past we have asked specifically if there is a damper somewhere and were always told no and to get our ducts cleaned. Since these were rooms that we did not always use it was always put on the back burner to worry about on another day. Well Drew came out and perform the PM on our system and I asked him about this problem. Within a couple minutes he was able to locate a damper lever that was hidden away and sure enough it was turned so those rooms did not get the air. Drew clearly knows his way around HVAC systems and is clearly skilled in his craft. He provided us excellent customer service and did a great job on the PM. If you have AB May and are needing help with your HVAC, I recommend that you request Drew!!

My wife and I just got home from a long vacation and our house was 82 degrees inside (to be expected as the thermostat was left off in our absence). We started up the unit and all was well for about 30 seconds, then we got no air in the house. The following day I called around 4:30pm and explained the situation. Antoine (tech 1297) was at the house after a phone call saying he was on his way. He worked tirelessly for over 3.5 hours until nearly 9:15pm to try and restore cold air to the house. After he tried a myriad of different things, he then concluded that a service supervisor needed to come out due to the extent of the repair, stating they would call me the following day. My prior work experience was in home repairs, but HVAC is not something I mess with. I was impressed with his technical knowledge and his explanations completely made sense when he explained the options and next steps. If there was a 6-star option, I would rate Antoine at that. I will post updates after the service adviser call tomorrow.

I have been visited by 4 technicians since I have been in my home. Ron is the first to offer me the opinion card and also the first to discuss the gold service agreement. I would suggest you have your other technicians follow the example that Ron has set. I have spent many years in some sort of customer service industry. The way Ron conducted himself in my home was a pleasure and one that AB May should be proud to have. AB May was represented very well today and its a credit to effort that Ron put in. If this had been my first encounter with AB May I would have been blown away with the level of service provided by AB May. However since I dealt with AB may on 3 other occasions, I have to believe this is a credit to Ron himself. I know feedback is valuable to companies who strive to provide good customer service. It is refreshing to see someone who cares enough to take the simple steps in an effort to provide excellent service. Well done Ron!

Yesterday, I had my seasonal maintenance by A.B. May, for my heating and cooling systems. I had the pleasure of meeting a technician named Nic Cannon. Nic did a fantastic job. He was courteous, professional, and efficient. He got the job done! And those are all great qualities. But even more importantly, Nic was friendly, pleasant, capable, smart and very informative. He was nice! He did his job well, while patiently answering all of my questions. He showed great care and respect to both me and my home and I appreciate his excellent service very much! Thanks Nic! You are the best! I believe that often, people form an opinion of a company based on an interaction with one employee from that company. So, if my opinion of A.B. I recently had an A.B. May technician come over to diagnose a problem with a water heater. After the 50 dollar diagnostic the tech was unable tell me why the burner was not igniting. I then received a price quote of 200+ dollars to replace the thermocoupler (which i had replaced a few months earlier for ten dollars and some change), and another quote for a gas valve and thermocoupler which was over 500 dollars, well over the price of a NEW natural gas fired water heater. I refused their services, did some more research and found that the problem was an air inlet screen that was prone to clogging under the burner. I cleaned this myself, note that it took no longer than 15 minutes total time, and the heater fired right up on the first spark of the igniter. This company is a ripoff with astronomical parts and labor and completely incompetent help. Save your money take your business elsewhere.

AJB came to service my furnace that had been having the same problem for a few years now. The thermostat would show heat on, but the heat would not come on until the temperature fell down to 72 degrees I keep my heat set to 78 degrees. It kept doing this over and over. It would come on stay on a while the shut off. AJB diagnosed the problem in just a few minutes. The furnace was over heating and it was shutting off just as it was supposed to do to keep from causing a fire. He cleaned blower wheel and evaporator coil. We were very impressed and pleased with his knowledge and expertise in solving the problem. Over the years another company was coming but only cleaning the flame sensor and the last time I was told the flame sensor needed replacing. So if you are experiencing furnace problems I would recommend you call A.B. MAY. I give AJB. a big thumbs up for a great job.

I want to commend my electrician, Jason, for a job well done! I already expected top quality from AB May, but Jason went above and beyond my expectations! He also informed me that this is a Christain based company! No wonder I have so much trust and confidence in all of these hard workers! All of them are Christains! Thats big!!!!! Jason was extremely relatable, honest, friendly, professional, confident, and knowledgeable about electrical work. He informed me of the reasons why I was having issues in my home, how he would fix it, how long it would take, and how much it would cost. Called for emergency drain service at 5:00 pm July 4. I was told I would get a call back within 45 minutes, if not to call back. I called back at 5:45 pm and was told that someone would call me right back. I called again a 6:40 pm and was told that a manager would be paged. Mike Green called aback within 10 minutes and said that he would look into it. He called back at 7:00 and said that he could not reach the techinician and did not know when he would be able to hold of someone. I told him to cancel the call and I would call someone else for the service. 30 minutes later your technician called to make arrangement for the service. I had already called another plumber to come out. I told your guy that and he was rude in response. This is the first time on 25 years that I have had to go to another vendor for service. I am greatly disapppointed.

Our A/C was not working when we got up this morning. We called A.B. May at 6:50 am this morning and they had a technician (Don) at our home by 9:05 am. Don interduced himself to me. He was wearing a clean and neat uniform and quickly went about doing his job. Don presented a very professional and knowledgeable approach to his job and the repairs our system required. Don explained what he had done and answered all my questions. Don even cleaned up a small amount of water that the drain leaked on the basement floor. Don had our system up and running, all necessary paperwork completed and was ready to go by 9:45 am. I could not have been more pleased with Don from my first impession to my last.
