We needed to get our roof replaced prior to installing some solar panels and after meeting with the roofer, while standing in the attic sweating to death, he commented about being in an attic on a previous job and the attic was foam insulated. He stated how amazing the results were given our current situation. With that, I began to investigate foaming the attic. After reviewing many independent reviews, I actually used Angies List and found great reviews about Sunlight Contractors. I initiated the process with Sunlight to complete the job and from start to finish, the experience was very good. From the initial pre work / inspections, to the scheduling of the job, timeliness and care by the workers to the results of the finished project. While the actual process of the foaming was potentially messy, the grounds the house and everything was basically as if no one was there and the attic foamed itself. the results were as promised. The attic in the summer time now maybe 10-15 degrees warmer than the house whereas it was normally 50 to 60 degress warmer than the home interior before hand. The drafts are all but eliminated and the chimney scenario that is described is no longer a factor. Our energy bill has dropped dramatically and if I had to do it again in another home, I would do it. And if I ever built a new home, I would have it in the walls as well. I am sure the savings can vary by job and the main purpose for doing the foaming was for comfort, but the energy savings are there and the project was very cost effective.

Sunlight Contractors just finished spray foam on the underside of my 30 yo home. This company is fantastic! Not only did Ira Bosh respond to my request for a quote, he personally showed up for the moisture readings and estimate, the prep work, and he followed up every day for my satisfaction report. So now, my new subfloors won’t rot, my new floors won’t buckle, no more musty smell. I also discovered where my energy waste was coming from. With the recent cold snap, the temperature has remained constant inside my home without air loss, with the heater now kicking on every few hours instead of every few minutes! My only regret is I didn’t find these guys 20 years ago! All work from start to finish 5 days for 2300 sq ft home. A1 Company. Licensed, Certified , Professional, and their cleanup after the work was impeccable. I would recommend to everyone. With all the mis-information and hard sell companies out there, Sunlight Contractors will do you right! Ask Ira about my Abita home, he’ll give you my number and address. Alan Carr with SunLight Contractors, gave us a proposal to spray foam on the roof and walls of our attic. We did our due diligence and received two other estimates. Alan’s proposal was the least expensive and he seems to be more knowledgeable about the product than the other two companies sales representatives. So we decided to go with SunLight Contractors. The team installing the foam were very professional. After installation we noticed an immediate improvement in the house environment and our air conditioner not running as much. The temperature in the attic has never gone beyond 80 degrees in the hottest part of the summer and not lower than 65 degrees in the winter months. We are 100% satisfy.

I was very pleased with my experience with Sunlight Contractors installing spray foam insulation in my attic. . They offered me a wealth of information beforehand, explaining the process initially over the phone and again when they came to make an estimate. They gave me a competitive quote. When they came to do the job, they spent time doing a door blower test to see exactly how much air was leaking into my house. After the project was complete, they performed the test again to make sure that the insulation was allowing substantially less air to leak. The company was very timely and professional throughout the process and cleaned up after they finished. I would highly recommend this company.

I had 1st encountered Sunlight at the 2015 New Orleans home show before I began construction. I called for a proposal in January, I had received one other proposal for the complete job in closed cell. Corey of Sunlight came out and I was impressed about his knowledge of the spray foam industry. Both bids were close, however after investigating Sunlight I went with them. They arrived on time and immediately began preparing for the insulation . They covered all the windows and doors and covered my tools that were on the job. We had closed cell foam applied to our crawl space 2 days ago. We can already tell the difference in our floors. We were told our wooden floors may need to be replaced due to excessive moisture. We researched 3 different companies and decided on Ira with Sunlight Contractors. Ira and his team were terrific to have around. I had called two other contractors for quotes. The prices were about the same, but the square footage was a little different. I could not afford either. Six months later I called Sunlight. When Corey came out, his measurements were less than the others were. Therefore, his price was lower to where I could afford it. When they came out, they were very polite and professional. The foam was thicker than I thought it would be and they cleaned up as they went. They finished before the time they gave. I would definitely recommend them and use them again if I would buy another house.
