This is the worst insurance company I have ever had. when I filed a claim for my totaled vehicle, they valued it at $13k but when it came time for the check, I was told that I was only going to receive $8k? The reason they have me was that type of vehicle is cheaper in my area, and used several examples of vehicles that were the base model and with more than twice as many miles. After over 2 months of fighting with them, I received $9k with which I could not get a replacement anywhere near what I had. Regardless I wanted to show loyalty and stay but regret my decision, after more than doubling my rate, they now have increased it again citing that my new vehicle, which Is valued at less than my old one, is worth more and requires a higher rate. I know that if totaled they would give me less than my last one and would make me jump through hoops pontes sly again. If you want cheap insurance, go to esurance, or just pay the extra to go with a company with any sort of moral backing. Also trying to cancel a policy with this company is impossible. After hours of being in the phone I was surprised to see $320 taken from my bank account now making it impossible for me to pay other bills. Please learn from my mistake.

I really wish there was a zero star rating. This company is absolutely horrible. Do your self a favor and check Erie or Progressive. I made the mistake of not thoroughly reading every word of my policy documents and they raped me blind. Number one, if you need to cancel an automatic withdrawal payment- for any reason- they charge you $35. They asses late fees more than a bank. Lucky me for losing a job with this insurance company. My experiences with Erie and Progressive were stellar. I thought i was making a good move because they were slightly cheaper than Erie, but remember when you buy cheap, you get what you pay for, cheap treatment and service. DO NOT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Horrible service. I reached out to Elephant to update my auto payment account when I received a new credit card in the mail. My old card seem to have a fraud alert and the credit card company did not update me. They just sent a new card and canceled the other. But Elephant did not contact me either to tell me the card was not working. As soon as I received the card I called Elephant to update my account. It just so happen to be a day pass the due date of my payment. They refused to waive the late fee. I have never been late on any previous payments. They do not care about you as a customer. They only want your money.

Customer Service needs work!!! The wannabe smart a** representative advised me that he was physic and knows what his supervisor was going to inform me of when I requested to speak with one about changing my due date. Instead of transferring me to a supervisor he places me on hold for about 10 minutes which I fell was done intentional. I was also informed that the only way I would be able to make my monthly payments was to sign up for recurring payments. After speaking with a supervisor she informed me that was not accurate and that I can make my payments myself online or by billing me.

This is the best insurance company I have been with. Not only are the rates cheep, the customer service is top notch. I filed a claim for my car accident through Elephant. The process was easy and my claims adjustor was phenomenal. They helped me every step of the way, which I really appreciated. Yes, I will admit their website is limited and you have to call to make most changes to your account. However, the hold times are reasonable and representatives and kind, professional and, efficient. No doubt I will be an elephant customer for a long time.

Extremely disappointed in the customer service and process after my accident that resulted in a total loss. Third party company was slow and unresponsive regarding the review process, and after the car was totaled (which took a week and a half to happen), I was informed that it will take another week to review and determine a settlement. Everyone I speak with blames someone else for the "process" and the time it takes to get things done. My car rental allowance will run out before I even receive a settlement check.

This company has an awesome coverage called Lease Payoff anyone who is making payments on there car should buy this addition it is cheap and could save you a lot of debt should you total your car. Griffin Thesing was my Agent for the quote and policy writing. His customer service skills exceeded my standards which is normally hard to do. This company was able to give me a rate half of what other companies quoting. Thank you for saving me $600 a yr. on my policy and making shopping for insurance easy!

You sign up for them to get paid directly from your checking account, never late and the 1 time you have a claim they refuse to pay. They are RUDE and have no respect for clients. We decided to go with a local company in state to see if it would be easier and the price was good but just to save a little money stick with the major companies it will save you headaches. * They get your money but they hate to pay claims!!!! Trust me the 1thing good about this company- the tow services.

I had no problems with elephant until suddenly my last payment was $100 higher than the 11 months prior with no warning or explanation. Not having the extra $100 has forced me to sale items that I cherish via craigslist. I will Never Recommend this company to anyone! Ever! Not to mention they want to raise my monthly cost by $90 if I continue another 12 months even though i have had 0 incidents in the last 12 months since i signed with them. Thumbs Down across the Board. F*** EM.

The faulty guy in an accident that I had with him is a elephant insurance holder. I claimed it almost 2 months ago and so far I called them about my claim. Each time I call them the representative is somebodey else but the story is the same! Every time the representative says we sent out your check to the shop and they have deposited it by mistake! They will refund it and then we will send you the check! I when I ask them who told you to send it to shop they try to skip the answer

Somebody left a voicemail regarding the claim I reported recently and I called back to this lady, her name is Cindy, and she was extremely rude, had a bad attitude, and sighing every 5 seconds when I said I need a moment to get something. As soon as my contract ends, I will never using this insurance ever again. I usually never leave a review because I feel like everybody has a bad day sometimes but this lady provided the worst customer service ever and somebody needs to fire her.

I can truly say that this Insurance company is professional, reliable, and serious about following up with customers! They gave me the best quote in the state of Maryland in spite of my accidents. My representative was pleasant and understood my situation and handles it with the best care. And on top of the automobile experience, I was able to get an awesome rate and policy on life insurance for myself which in turn, lowered my monthly rate on my car insurance and I still saved!!!

insurance is horrible i tried to get a 1 late fee refunded and he said i couldnt because i have only been there 6months ! I would think that would be enough time but nope i guess not to them manger i spoke to was a male very rude and inconsiderate giving me information i will not have insurance with them anymore ! I suggest that anyone getting this insurance to watch your account because they took money out with out a single email given to me or text !

good for the first 3 years, then price starting going up due to one 7500 claim. then we had someone try to steal one of cars out of the driveway and thats when the fun began. not going to bore you with everything. just know this read your policy and reread your policy. bottom line is this none of the policyholders were involved in either one of these claims. Nevertheless someone has to pay say ELEPHANT. GUESS WHO YOU. so i said good bye.

After a minor accident nearly six weeks ago, I am still having issues with Elephant. The collision center and the adjuster have gone back and forth with the insurance company and nothing seems to get resolved. Elephant does not return emails or phone calls. I am the policyholder with Elephant and they seem unwilling to make my vehicle whole. Every day without my vehicle costs me time and money. Elephant is so not worth it! BUYER BEWARE!

Horrible company! I was with them for 5 years and had full coverage from the time my vehicle was brand new. No accidents, tickets or claims in 5 years. A hail storm hit my car and they deemed my car a total loss and only paid me half of what my car was worth. They told me to send in sale prices for same car with comparable year and mileage but then deemed those not worthy.They never worked with me and was extremely rude.

Trash insurance! Their driver was speeding thru a parking lot and hit us as we were coming in. It’s been about 2 weeks and they haven’t done a damn thing about it. We had to get a lawyer for them to even rent us a car but we have to pay enterprise $20 dollars a day cause elephant won’t cover the entire payment. They will stall as much as they can, beware drivers! Elephant dung insurance. 0 stars!

I wish I could give negative 5 to this company. They are an official blatant scam. My car was rear ended by a stupid stranger who was apparently insured by this company. The guy is not cooperating and after 2 weeks they are threatening to decline the claim. These people are rude and just do not want to pay. Cannot say how much I am disgusted by the whole process.

The agent that sold me my plan was amazing and curteous. Unfortunately I had the displeasure of dealing with a young lady for renters insurance. Her ethicate and lack of professionalism made my experience not as pleasant. Overall Elephant is a great company, they just have to get their team on the same page. I would still recommend this company to others.

They made me jump through hoops just to prove I had money in my account when they went to charge me on my autopay. I called my bank that told me they never even tried to charge me and the funds were there. After all the documents I sent them I had to do a conference call with them and my bank just so they could waive the 30 dollar late fee. Riduculous

Totaling out our car and makings an abosoloutley ridiculous offer 4K less than other similar cars. Sent them proof and they think there computer system is infallible and will not do anything about it. There should be a law to protect consumer against this type of injustice. I have to pay someone to prove my point!! INCREDIBLE!

Company ...how do u charge a $10 for only being 3 days late when you auto draft from my account so im never late ...cancelling fast due to the fact they charge fees for everything even changing your billing date when u already made the payment for the month.. I am having a worst experience with this insurance company. They are taking more than a month to fix my car which was involved in accident with their insured. Their process sucks and they never picked up phone or call back at one time. I hope this is not their normal timeline otherwise who would bother to buy such insurance.

Very good rates and great customer service. I got a quote and insurance on both my car and my home all during my commute home. They made it very easy and comfortable for me.
