Wyndham provides excellent service and the best price! Highly recommended. I started my search for a company to refinance my mortgage with Lending Tree. It doesn’t work exactly as advertised, but acts more like a lead-referral service and put me in touch with various lenders who would be a good match. I spoke to 5 potential lenders in all, three from Lending Tree, plus my current mortgage company and the bank where I have my checking account. They each had varying approaches but Wyndham got my business. The big banks were too slow or too expensive. One was able to make me an immediate offer, but when I later compared it to Wyndham, the closing costs were over $4,000 more! One wanted me to get an appraisal before they would talk numbers with me. Of the smaller companies Lending Tree put me in touch with, one took my info but determined they couldn’t help me – kudos for not wasting my time. One of them used hard sell techniques – they had limited time offers, would put nothing in writing, wanted to speak to my wife and I at the same time, and then get us both on a call with his manager (aka the Closer). Sound familiar? All of these lenders ran my credit before talking numbers. Adam Coleman and Wyndham were unlike all of the above. Adam was able to talk specific numbers with me on the first call, took my word on what my credit score was (they did later run my credit but not until much later in the process after I had committed to them), treated me ethically and were very professional. As good lenders do, Adam acted much more like a consultant than a salesperson, advised me on the mortgage landscape and ran many scenarios to get me the best deal possible. The initial call with Adam was significantly more valuable to me than with any other lender. Throughout the process, I felt all of Wyndham’s operation was designed to make best use of my time. I am an analytical person and had a lot of questions for Adam, and all of them were answered promptly, in detail, and in writing. (It’s always a red flag with a company when they refuse to put their answers in writing and will only call you with updates). Working often via email also allowed me to keep productive at work and did not mean I was on the phone all the time with this personal project. Once Adam and I had worked out the plan, I took his proposal and shopped it to several other banks – none of them were able to beat Wyndham’s closing costs (for the same loan amount, interest rate and term). I believe Wyndham’s smaller size and specialization compared to the big banks allow them to close loans with lower overheads and hence lower fees to the consumer. As an IT professional, I also have to comment on Wyndham’s IT. It’s clearly a differentiator for them and allowed those first consultative conversations to be a lot more productive than with other companies. Additionally, once we’d decided on how to move forward, they have a portal on their website that allows you to upload documents, sign electronically, and always get a view of where your mortgage is in the process. Since I travel for work, it was simple for my wife and me to sign documents while in separate locations. (Just a note that some of the lesser used forms still needed physical signatures and scanning, the portal didn’t always indicate the right documents needed, and the volume of automated emails did get confused with the actual emails from Adam (and his processor Erin) that I needed to pay attention to). In summary, Wyndham were smarter, faster and cheaper than their competition and worked hard to get me the best deal possible. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

We want to provide feedback regarding our recent experience with our home loan. We had high expectations for working with Wyndham Capital and were extremely disappointed with the end result. Wyndham Capital did not provide us with reliable loan processing and underwriting in a timely manner. Our closing date was delayed by five days due to Wyndham Capital’s neglect. Once the home loan was passed off to processing/underwriting/closing we encountered major problems and delays. There was very little communication regarding the delays and when we attempted to call and get updates no one would answer our calls. Our closing date was set for Thursday September 12 at 10 am. The afternoon of September 11 we were informed there were missing documents and closing would be delayed, we weren’t given a time frame or any indication of how long the delay would be. These missing documents were Wyndham’s responsibility, and we gave an ample amount of time for the loan to process before our closing date. This was Wyndham’s responsibility to notify parties involved that the closing date would be delayed several days so that parties involved could make other arrangements. Our family had nowhere to sleep because we planned on closing and staying in the new house. Our realtor, my husband and I, all attempted to do whatever we could to keep closing set for September 12. We became quickly aggravated when Amanda Johnson in processing wouldn’t answer our calls or give us any explanation regarding the delay. We had already taken time off work, arranged for movers, and set everything up for closing on September 12. I was in touch with Kim Hall who informed me they were pushing so we could close on Friday September 13. We again arranged time off work, movers, etc. Again no one would answer our phone calls to give us any updates. Finally Friday afternoon I spoke with Kim, she then told me it would be delayed to Monday September 16. It is unacceptable that Wyndham let things slip to delay our closing by several days. This is our biggest purchase and Wyndham’s employees made us feel like we were inconveniencing them by calling and asking questions regarding the delay of our closing date. The level of service we received is unacceptable in any sector of customer service, and made this a horrible experience for us. Due to Wyndham’s neglect, lack of customer service, and poor communication our closing date was delayed and all parties involved have been inconvenienced. Our attorney had to stay late on Friday to receive the settlement packet so we could close at the end of the day Monday September 16. When we went to close on Monday we saw that the seller’s contribution to closing costs was not recorded as it should have been. The explanation was that the amount exceeded the percentage cap. At this point we couldn’t afford to delay things again due to Wyndham’s mistakes and poor communication, so we took a loss of about $600 from the sellers contributions that should have be allocated. At the very least Wyndham needs reimburse us for this amount. Our experience had no evidence of Wyndham’s mission, values, or vision. We are highly dissatisfied customers and will inform every one of the horrible experience we had with Wyndham. Hopefully by expressing our concern Wyndham can fix the problems in the processing/underwriting/closing departments to prevent other customers from suffering through the closing process with Wyndham. When something like this goes wrong at the customers’ expense, a respectable company would take charge to correct it, but in our case it has been ignored.

I have had the pleasure of working with Clayton Boroughs from Wyndham Capital Mortgage on purchasing my first home. Clayton was there every step of the way and had my back when the selling realtor (and my realtor for that matter) wasn’t doing their job. The realtor should provide you and your mortgage broker with certain documents and she just wasn’t doing that. It was a fight to acquire the simplest of documents or contact information and it almost discouraged me from even purchasing a home. Clay knew how frustrated I was with the entire process so he did probably what no mortgage broker would do and took matters into his own hands. Clay went out of his way to acquire documents and contact information that was critical to close. I cannot tell you how many people he contacted, how late he worked and to this day, continues to keep in touch asking if I need anything or what he could do for me. He not only did his job phenomenally, but he did both realtors jobs as well. While dealing with the realtors was a complete nightmare and one of the worst experiences of my life, dealing with Clay was genuine and simply. Without Clay, I doubt I would have my first house. All the work he put in, day and night, he went beyond any expectation I could fathom. He took on the role of mortgage broker and realtor. We have a growing family and it’s only a matter of time before we will need to expand our home and I will definitely be working with Clayton Boroughs and Wyndham Capital Mortgage again. I doubt I will get the kind of services, compassion, quality and effort from anyone else or Mortgage Company like I did from Clay and Wyndham Capital Mortgage. Clay turned a nightmare into a dream and that dream into a reality. Thanks again for everything, Clay! I can’t wait to work together in the future!

Upon initial purchase of my home my mortgage was originally financed through Freedom Mortgage. After horrendous dealings with their customer service department I decided to refinance my loan and I settled on Wyndham Capital since they seemed to have great ratings and reviews across the board. I made it clear to the Wyndham employees who were tasked with my refinance that the main reason I wanted to refinance my current mortgage with a different company was because I no longer wanted to do business with Freedom Mortgage’s terrible customer relations. Long story short after nearly $3,000 dollars spent on closing costs, the appraisal, and also my time, I had a new mortgage with Wyndham. I was satisfied with my new loan and situation. Then a week after I signed the closing documents with Wyndham I received a letter from Wyndham stating that my mortgage had been transferred back to Freedom Mortgage! Apparently Wyndham sold the load back to them! From the start I made it implicitly clear to the individuals helping me with my refinance at Wyndham that I was refinancing for the sole purpose to not have to deal with Freedom Mortgage! If I wanted to refinance with Freedom I could have done so with less expense to my family as they would have paid for closing costs for a refinance on a pre-existing loan. Instead I had to pay for these fees out of pocket just to have my loan sold back to the original lien holder! I feel Wyndham scammed my family out of $3,000, since freedom would have refinanced my mortgage for free, which I would not have minded except for the fact that I did not want to deal with their terrible customer service. This is not an ethical way to do business and I warn anyone else to please not do buisness with these “people.”

I recently refinanced my home loan through Wyndham Capital and had a very good experience. I originally called trying to improve on a 30 year fixed mortgage rate of 3.875. I was greeted by Mortgage Consultant Russell Ferrari who was very personable and knowledgeable about the refinance process. I quickly found out that my current rate was very competitive and was going to be difficult to beat. Russell indicated he could save me a substantial amount of money if I were to look at a 15 year fixed rate. I had contemplated 15 year mortgages over the years, however, they always seemed out of reach. Russell was able to lock me into a 15 year fixed rate at 3.375% and was quite accurate about the savings. He saved me over $100,000 in interest over the length of the loan. Throughout the process, Russell constantly kept me informed what was going on and what to expect. At one point during the loan Russell handed me off to Erin Wilkenson, our Processor. Erin was equally as professional and made the processing portion of the loan painless as well. All the while, Russell kept me updated and informed as to what the next step would be. The entire process from submitting the loan application to signing the closing documents took less than one month. In the end, I would recommend Wyndham Capital to anyone who is contemplating purchasing or refinancing a home. Thank you Andy Menard

This has been my best experience in dealing with a loan company I have ever had! I refinanced my home with cash out to pay off those nasty credit cards. Ellis Nance was my loan officer and he acted like he was really concerned about me as a person, not just another business customer. He explained the difference in going with a 15,20 and 25 year mortgage. I had minimal closing costs and a great rate. I looked at several mortgage companies, and many loan officers were so aggressive, I just stopped answering their phone calls. Ellis was always courteous, knowledgeable and very professional. He responded quickly whenever I left a message. Before I decided to go with Wyndham Capital Mortgage, I looked at their website to check out Ellis. I was impressed with his background, coupled with my personal experience with him, I chose to refinance with Wyndham. The process was so easy. I submitted everything via the internet, just scanned or uploaded my information into their portal. A notary came to my house for the closing. No problems at all. If you are thinking of a mortgage, go to Wyndham Capital and ask for Ellis Nance. I would like to acknowledge Amanda Johnson as well. She worked with me in submitting my information and she was very helpful as well.
