Safety deserves a 0 star rating but since that is not an option I’m forced to give them 1. From the beginning of this process Safety has been nothing but a headache to work with. My parked car got hit by one of their customers who admitted full fault last Tuesday. I couldn’t open my drivers door (unsafe;undeliverable for 2 days) and was not given a rental until Thursday. I was told Friday an agent would be out to access my damages. I never heard any information if they had even showed up, so I called my agent Dave Dylengoski Friday around 2pm and did not receive a call back until Monday morning telling me that a claim had indeed been submitted (3 extra days of waiting) asking for an email to send the claim to. At 1:20 on Monday (almost 5 hours) he finally sent me the appraisal, I then called my preferred body shop to make an appointment as I had been instructed. Since the shop is popular because of their spectacular service I had to wait until next Monday to have work started on my car. I immediately called Dave back to verify that safety would cover my rental for the entirety of the repairs since my shop was a little back logged and since I lost 5 days of action do to safety’s negligence, I did not hear back from him until almost 18 hours later where he told me that “No it was not ok to wait, that I would have to find a shop that I don’t trust and rush my brand new car in for repairs”, when my chosen shop is even on their list of preferred body shops in my area! Safety Insurance is bullying me! I have contacted several other insurance companies and they all express that it’s my choice where I want to bring my property for repairs. How is it ok that they waste my time for 6 days with no answers, and now they are forcing me to find a shop that I’m not comfortable with? I hope no one ever gets hit by a safety driver and gets put through the personal hell that I have! And I haven’t even begun repairs on my car!
Safety insurance has treated me and my family very well! We had severe water damage at my home and as a result had to have my kitchen ripped out and part of my guest room and dining room. Safety sent an adjuster(Dave Griffey) who was polite, thoughtful and thorough. He returned phone calls promptly and answered all of my questions in detail. Then the gentleman that Safety connected me with for the claim(Bryan Savosik) and ALE expenses was also very respectful and courteous. He helped us in whatever way he could. He was thorough about documentation of expenses and receipts but that is to be expected. One area that could be improved on is the large check that came for the kitchen repairs took a long time to get to me and therefore the repairs are still in process. Overall, my experience with Safety has been excellent!
Absolutely terrible to work with. After years of on time payments, I filed one claim 2 years ago, and they would not renew my contract. When I called for an explanation, no one was able to provide any explanation because "the people who determine that do not talk to the public." You had no problem taking my quarterly payments (which I always made on time), and I am sorry that I had water pouring into my bathroom, dining room, great room, bedroom and TV room during the worst winter Boston has ever seen. Do yourself a favor and insure your property with someone else.
I have never had to use my insurance before... I had no idea of what type of coverage I even had. I have to say how thankful I am for having Safety Insurance as a result of a recent accident I was in (first in decades). The VIP center in Danvers (and Nick Frenzo) made everything so easy from getting a high quality rental car for use during the repairs, to being able to just drop the car and then pick it up. My car looks absolutely brand new, like nothing ever happened. I hope to be with Safety for a good long time following this experience.
called safety insurance to tell them one of their drivers hit me and I was not at fault, they automatically denied everything AND MATHEW MADAIO said I called him and told him it was my fault !!! Which was a complete LIE! The driver who is insured with safety who works for a company also lied and said I hit him. When In reality his vehicle hit mine while I was parked. Will be taking this insurance company to court along with the client (company) I have a lot more to say and just seeing all the other reviews it all makes sense now

THIS COMPANY IS TERRIBLE! I LIVE IN PAIN AND SUFFER HEADACHES EVERYDAY DUE TO ONE OF THEIR DRIVERS REAR ENDING ME FULL FORCE WHILE I WAS AT A COMPLETE STOP! HE WAS TEXTING! THEY CAUSED OVER 2 YRS OF SUFFERING THRU A LAWSUIT TO LEAVE ME IN MAJOR PAIN AND SUFFERING TO SAVE THEMSELVES A FEW DOLLARS! I WILL NEVER FORGET FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE HOW THEY TREATED ME AND WILL NEVER EVER REFER ANYONE TO USE THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE CRUEL LIARS WHO CARE ONLY ABOUT A DOLLAR IN THEIR POCKETS!
While dealing with a claim, my representative reached out only once and I never heard from him again. Numerous straight to voicemail phone calls and emails sent out but nothing in return. After a month, I find out my representative had been promoted and I was given another representative. This was again met with non-returned phone calls and emails. I have since been dropped from the company due to "failure to submit payments" If I could give zero stars I would.
Safety is the worst insurance company I have ever to deal with. It is amost a week since the city condemned my condo unit because of mold; and Safety has been giving me run around, not picking up the phones or calling me back when they should. City is now saying the whole 6 unit building may get condemned if a quick action is not taken to remediate the mold conditions in my unit. I called the head of property claim department. Even he has not called me back yet.
Pretty awful. I had a car accident before and my insurance company at the time was all over it and it was resolved in about 1 week with a check. Stay on the other hand... Took over 1 month and my agent would never pick up her phone - message after message and nothing. I honestly thought she no longer worked there. so awful and frustrating. Once the issue was resolved I immediately switched insurances and would not recommend them to anyone
I wish I read reviews before I signed up with this insurance, they are not just bad, they are horrible. Rude agents, slow and unreliable, not even caring for their reputation. But worse of all, just like all other reviews say- they ripping people off, preying on some people without the knowledge of how things work. I do not recommend to have this insurance to anyone and I will be switching immediately!!!!
I watched my neighbor pull out of his driveway and back into my girlfriends 2 day old, less than 50 miles on it, car, not once but twice. I stopped him, told him I had seen what had happened, he drove off. I called the police. We filed a report. Now safety insurance refuses to repair the damage to the car claiming that I am not a credible witness. Shame on you safety insurance. shame on you.
I had total 3 claims with in last 3 months! what a luck! but I am so happy with the VIP claim Braintree service. Diane was always very helpful! my rental car is always available each time I dropped off for repairs! they also did little touchup on my one of car which is outstanding! I highly recommend this Vip claim services and very happy with all the services.
I have had nothing but superb service from Safety Insurance in the 7+ years I have been with them. I recently had a claim and the customer service representative was the best, Answered all my questions, was prompt in researching answers, and most courteous. Made the entire event painless.
I had a claim that was clearly not at fault i had photos and proof i had sent to my adjuster . the rep i had never returned my calls and processed it as at fault so now im getting sued my someone who is pretty much getting away with fraud. I wouldnt recomend this to anyone
Diane Quinn and Nick Frenzo were awesome to work with. They communicated clearly and made me feel at ease when my car was damaged in an accident. The work done on my car exceeded my expectations. Very happy I chose to have Safety handle the repairs. Highly recommend

Instead of blaming the company, you may want to discuss things with the agency that set up your policy. More often than not people have a bad experience with a carrier because the insurance agent set them up with poor coverage, I know this through experience.
I was very pleased with the VIP Claims Service Center - they handled everything very smoothly from having a rental available for me at drop off, prompt appraisal of damage, keeping me posted about my car as it was repaired and then doing the handover.
Safety Insurance has an "A" Rating by AM Best Company . They provide great coverage. I am a customer of Safety Insurance I recommend them to all my friends. Look into what they have to offer and speak to people who have Safety insurance.
I have called three times. I was hit by their insured and the response I get is; its only been one day not sure what you expect. What I expect is a rental car, some understanding and my car to be moved to the location I need it at.
Had a minor accident and my insurance coverage went up $1000??. Looks to me like safety insurance waiting for the opportunity to rip people off. Not willing to do business with them anymore. Going shopping for a new insurance.
My Neighbor hit me in the middle of the night, by the next day I had an insurance claim against me saying I hit him. Safety appraised the damage at 5k. It cost me less than 1200 to fix myself. Safety is a scam go somewhere else
Don was a pleasure to work with. The whole process was clear, easy, and seamless. We have used them three times and I will never change car insurance companies. I highly recommend them! Amazing customer service.

HORRIBLE! The "operators" have the WORST attitude I have ever encountered and all they do is transfer you in a circle. I wish I could give NEGATIVE STARS! My boyfriend is changing insurance companies. DONE.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I called to get eligibility on a member and after 4 people and 30 minutes of explaining and being hung up on we could not get an answer. I would not recommend anyone to utilize them.
The worse insurance ever.stole 540$ from ne.i was suppost to recive a refund of 540$ and then they said they never owed me anything and its not showing on system anything everytine i called em.
Adjuster was hard to get in touch with, supplied me incorrect information, forcing me to run around way more than necessary. Rates are also high for such bad service.
safety is the worst company ever I had commercial policy with them 2 months after the price went up without doing any accident or violations, terrible company.....

Safety offers excellent service and I never have to quibble w/ them. Claims paid justly and fast. Highly recommend.
I saved almost $200 by switching to liberty mutual. Safety insurance was really expensive for no reason.
