Horrible! Prior to being purchased by Hardenbergh, I dealt with the Curtis Agency - efficient and polite. Apparently this group purchased the company. I recently settled on a new home and purchased insurance. First, I dealt with a Mr. Curtis just prior to settlement to bind the policy. He knew it was needed by 10:00 AM the following day (they were dragging their feet on the policy). No policy the next day and when I called, I was told Mr. Curtis decided to take the day off and left NOTHING for anyone (knowing I needed the binder that morning)! Next issue... At settlement, a check was drawn paying the policy in full and immediately sent to this agent. I then receive a notice of cancellation for non-payment! I called Hardenbergh and was told that they mailed the check to the insurance company and if it got lost in the mail it was MY problem and my insurance was going to cancel in a week! The secretary, when I called, began yelling, stating that she is all alone and is tired of people calling all day yelling at her about errors and proceeded to hang up on me! I did my OWN investigating and found that they sent it to a Post Office address that does not exist! This should have been done by the agent, but I was merely told that if the check was not received by the insurance company, I would have no insurance!!! Suffice it to say that I will be moving all of my policies. Beware!

We have dealt with The Hardenberg Agency on both a professional level and personal level for close to 20 years. Not only do we have four different businesses insured with them, we also have 5 properties insured with them and our auto insurance. Our representative Brian Blaston, is the best. He is totally responsive and we feel he is always on our side. The supportive staff there really care about you and are there when you need them. I highly recommend them for all of your insurance needs.
