The agent found a great price for a 2012 MINI cooper JCW insurance with Mercury Insurance Group. But 2 weeks later I got a notification that my premium had gone up almost 80% because agent had provided wrong information. Needless to say I cancelled with Mercury and explained my situation to my old company (GEICO); they ended up offering me the same rate with the same coverage. Now I find myself fighting with Mercury Insurance to reimburse me based on the initial quote and not the increased premium (I cancelled the same day the notification arrived). Stay away from this company, they will sweet talking to you to get you to sign papers and then you are up for a surprise.

I just have been called by one of agents from this company. The caller number is from Maryland. They offered me unbelievable low price (almost halved) than GEICO. It is too low to believe. By the end of the conversion, the guy asked my credit card information. I told him that I did not take my credit card with me, which was true, asked him if he can send me the quota information first. That guy replied, "come on, I know you have your credit card with you". This the first time I heard an agent speak unprofessionally like this. To be honest, even I had my credit card, I would not tell him. I just did not trust this guy or this company.

The agent that called me was from Avella Pa. and was a complete jerk. He literally bad mouthed my current insurance agent, and kept asking me why I was shopping around. I explained my situation and he just kept going in circle reiterating what I had told him. I asked him,if there was anything he could do to help me other than bad mouth my agent and he completely ignored me. The person and phone call were extremely unprofessional. What a horrible experience.

FIRST; anyone having a problem with this company should get their facts straight. they are NOT an insurance company, they are an insurance agency. AND if you are getting multiple phone calls its because you at some point inquired about multiple insurance quotes at the same time. they found me unbelievably low full coverage insurance (191 for a 2013 honda civic with a bad driving history background for an ENTIRE year) and customer service was amazing.
