Incompetent. Dishonest. Enraging. The company placed a forced insurance policy on my mortgage although I carried a policy through a third party. Two years later, I am still receiving collections calls seeking payment for an unpaid balance resulting from this clerical error. I have spoken to dozens of dovenmuehle representatives of all levels of the corporate chain. I have had corporate management assure me that the problem was corrected and I would be relieved of the burden. Yet the refused to send documentation and so the calls continue. I have now learned that they have reported me to the credit agencies for this erroneous balance. Effectively marring an otherwise stellar credit score and essentially slandering me to all future potential lenders and or business ventures. Tried to resolve the issue for the millionth time but was hung up on by a department manager because I tries to record the conversation as documentation. Avoid this company at all costs. Refinance!

My mortgage was serviced by this company for 5 years. I never had a single problem with them. Their online portal, while very simple gives you real-time access to your mortgage balance, payment due, and offers the ability to pay your mortgage online through the portal. They also offer the ability to send secure message which always gets answered within a few days. They never once messed up a payment of mine. I only received one notice from them claiming they could not verify I had homeowners insurance, and provided instructions on how to submit the proof. I provided the proof by the deadline they gave and never heard anything about it after that. Overall, a simple company that operates just fine. Sure, their website may not have all the flashy bells and whistles of say BOA or Wells Fargo, but its provides exactly what you need and is always accurate. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Racist and illegal. Knowing that I was a Native American and had a Section 184 Native American Loan, this company intentionally refused to return $3000 of my escrow after I sold my home. I reported it to the BBB and Dovenmuehle would not respond to the BBB, so they gave up. I even filed a compliant with the Federal Reserve Bank. That finally got their attention, because they have 30 days to return any funds still in escrow after a home is sold. They took over 3 months. They violated a federal law, but no action will be take against them, because they are too large of a company according the Feds. It took me over 14 phone calls, 5 emails, reports to the BBB and finally reporting it to the Federal Reserve Bank, in order for this company to comply. AVOID WORKING WITH THEM AT ALL COSTS!

This is by far one of the worst mortgage servicing companies I have ever encountered. I have two mortgages with this company, and they are a nightmare to deal with. I have repeatedly gotten locked out of my online account, and customer service is absolutely unhelpful in getting me access to my accounts so that I can make payments to my mortgages. I even asked for them to fax me documents such as my mortgage statement, but they say it takes 3 business days to send a fax. A customer service supervisor (Raul Garcia) was matter of fact and very unhelpful as well. They do not have a tech support desk, and simply will not help you if you need to access your account. This company does not care about serving the client. Refinance your mortgage away from this company at all costs.

Like other reviewers, I wish I could leave zero stars. I sold my previous house and wanted to pay off my DMI mortgage. Spoke w/Juanita on the phone 07/18 and requested a payoff statement. She acted very confused, but eventually complied. I received the statement on 08/06 because, although it was generated on 07/19, it was not posted until 08/02. Why would they mail a payoff statement four days after the 07/29 expiration date? I made a large online payment on 07/29 because I doubted I would ever get the payoff statement. Now the mortgage is down to $2,500 and I will soon be done with them and never do business with DMI or USAA again!

This corporation doesn’t provide holiday bonuses for employees, tends to loose real value/time data/figures for reporting purposes and gets fined by FNMA due to LM denials that occur too frequently in their LM department. Continuous and extensive OT is pushed onto employees with no gratitude, higher up employees receive specialized treatment more so than the rest of the workers, insurance premiums are higher than average and lastly pay structure/salaries are far below industry standard. This corporation is for its self only and not for its workers by any means. Their clients also are treated unfairly and often deceived.

They suck. The way they handle insurance claims is ridiculous. I needed a new roof after a hail storm. My insurance got my money fast. Then Dovenmuehle makes me send them the check. They say they will pay me 1/3 the amount of the check back to get the project started, then another 1/3 when the job is half done and then another 1/3 after the project is complete. So I have to mail crap back and forth and request inspections at different points in the process. A freaking nightmare. I could have had this roof fixed weeks ago. I am still going back and forth trying to get my first 1/3 of the check.

May God bless your days and not to be in need of dealing with this company. It is a fraud. They took over my mortgage account few months ago. I could not reach them to be able to pay. I finally made a payment by phone that they charged extra as well. After that, once I set up payments, I got into a different nightmare. At least 3 payment for few month that I made are spoof in the air. My money has been out of the checking account and never been posted towards the balance. Somebody has to shut these people down.

My mortgage was unfortunately transferred to this bank. The worst bank I have ever dealt with. Just one example. They send me a notice that my payment has been received, but nowhere on the notice does it even say Dovenmuehle, so I have to guess who it is from. Do they even realize how bad this looks? Do they even read all these bad reviews and try to improve? I suspect not, because they are too ignorant and uncaring about the real world. No Hope.

I barely even want to give them one star. Our mortgage was sold to them almost 3 months ago and we started receiving collection notices before we even received info on how to pay our mortgage! We still have not received our mortgage package, an account number or anything else. We mailed them a check and they cashed it and we still have yet to receive anything. We have called multiple times. This is flat out ridiculous.

Extremely disappointed. They purchased my loan, gave me the incorrect payment amount due, implied it was my fault, I authorized the withdrawal of $76 (they gave me a confirmation number) then took out over $1500 - may call an attorney about the legality of this. CSR was mostly unhelpful again implying it was my fault. I am completely unimpressed with this company and hope they sell my mortgage to someone else.

I have been with this company for one year. The past 3 months have been a stressful nightmare. The representatives have no interest in resolving your situation. The right hand of this company has no idea what the other hand is doing. Everytime i speak to someone i get absolutely no help or i get a lie. I will be changing mortgage companies and advise anyone else having these issues or similar to do the same.

Wow. I am shocked to read these reviews. I have had my mortgage with Dovenmuehle for almost 3 years. I have had to contact them a couple of times and each time I spoke to a knowledgeable person who competently helped me. I pay my mortgage on time each and every month, and I like that I am able to login and check things like my escrow balance, pay off amount, etc. I would use them again.

I too was wondering why the reviews are so bad. Whenever I have questions I do have to go through the prompts to get a live person. When I do get a live person they were knowledgeable, answered my questions properly and personable. I do have to note I have never been late, pay my insurance and taxes through escrow. The interest rate is very good.

Was with COLDWELL BANKERS until Aug 2016 and my mortgage was sold to dovenmuehle. I would give Dovenmuehle a minus ten however not an option. The wort customer service team I every had to deal with. I have never had a return message from them. Miss having a good mortgage company.

2015. Stay far, far away from this company. We went with them because we had no choice. If you have a choice, choose ANYONE else. They could never be worse than this company. Watch your numbers during negotiations. In my humble opinion, these people should not be trusted.

Wow, I have read some of these reviews and wondering if we are talking about the same mortgage company? I have had them for almost 2 years and never an issue. Always able to reach someone, get an email when my mortgage is paid each month. Never a problem.

Sent them all the correct information, they still could not get a direct deposit correct. Called them at their request, they put me on hold for a very long time. Finally had to just hang up and move on to things I needed to get done.
