I began searching for my first home in April of this year. While I spent a tremendous amount of time reading realtor reviews and searching for the right realtor, I will admit that I didn’t put nearly the same time and effort into finding the right lender at first. I simply thought that I would get the loan with my local bank and that all lenders would probably be the same anyway and that it wouldn’t matter who I used as my lender. Obviously, I was a bit short-sighted in thinking that. Thankfully for me I met Wendy at a local church function, introduced myself and talked to her a bit about the home buying process for a first-time homebuyer like myself. Shortly thereafter, I applied for preapproval with Wendy, was pre-approved very quickly and then I was off and running on my search for a home immediately afterwards. While I am basically certain that Wendy’s team processes a lot of loans for clients, you wouldn’t really know it as it didn’t impact their availability or their ability to respond to any questions that I had. They were basically always very prompt in responding to any questions or requests for clarification on any step in the loan process that I had. The loan process via Wendy and her team was actually the easiest, least-stressful part of the home buying process. There were plenty of things that I was worried about during the process but getting my loan processed on time with Wendy wasn’t really one of them. It is pretty apparent that Wendy’s team truly cares about taking care of their clients and tries to make the loan process as pain-free as possible and I do appreciate that as a client. If you are in the market for a new home I would recommend that you contact her, as there is a good pretty chance that she will be able to give you a better rate than your local bank (or whatever lender you are intending to use). I compared her quoted rates against my local banks rates (the bank I originally thought I would use) shortly before I closed on my home and Wendy’s rates were 0.15% to 0.20% lower for both 30 year and 15 year conventional loans. When I buy my next home, I absolutely plan to use Wendy as my lender.
