I just wanted to provide feedback to VMF and its staff. As situations accrue, and at most all times unannounced, it’s reassuring to know companies in this country are willing to help when possible. With our current mortgage nearing a maturity date, a serious illness fell upon our family and finances become an additional concern. I felt compelled to reach out to lenders and explain our status with hopes of tolerance and consideration. Upon contacting VMF I had the pleasure speaking with an associate of VMF, Jessica Blair, and without hesitation, Ms. Blair had a compelling concern, astute awareness, with a will to help. Over a short period of time, Ms. Blair seemed not only concerned, but determined to help during a family crisis. Within a few days Ms. Blair offered to settle several hundred dollars below the payoff amount with hopes this would provide some assistance. She always provided feedback and follow-up in a timely manner and spoke with a companionate concern. VMF is fortunate to have such an employee associated within its organization and I hope she receives the proper gratitude and accolades she deserves. That is much to say about Ms. Blair, but it’s also says much about VMF as a financial institution. Ms. Blair acted as an advocate on my behalf and VMF listened with compassion. Hi my Name is James E Manley 10 yr customer. I have been with Vanderbilt for 10yrs I paid by draft it was a floating interest rate at the time 6-7-8% yes it went to 7% and stayed my note does not really ever change that much maybe $40 less or $10 more but they are a lil salty and irritable at times but who have they had to deal with that day lol. I had a major fire recently nearly $50K they gave us the first draft of $21K no problems we have contractor bills and pics of repairs we are sending in final quote to get final money to finish job and it seems like no issues. Lisa & Felicia in customer service and claims are very nice and helpful. The guys are well turds and yes I got nasty with them. The ladies do great the guys need to get a mans job. My offshore hands do not talk or act like that to me so I do not tolerate it from office fellas. Vanderbilt gives you money for a loan and expects payment simple!!!! if your other loan company was soooo great why they sold you out? So far in this time the good and bad I stated but for these two ladies.....that is why I give 5 stars the guys really need to watch the ladies do their thing......way to go LISA & FELICIA. :)

I have a home Mortgage with VMF. I pay extra principal on my mortgage almost every month ... There is one slight problem with this practice.. the "COMPUTER" decides where to apply the "extra" funds....... Extra funds may or not be applied to principal regardless of "notes" or instructions or memos sent with the payment......... I have been dealing with VMF for about almost 3 years now... Any time I have to call them for assistance they are extremely helpful..... the agents will listen to you and really address your problem or issue.... I have spoken with several different agents and I think two or three times with "Jackie" (and she said it was ok to list her name ... When the "computer" does mess up and apply my extra principal money somewhere else the folks at VMF are always quick to correct it........ Of course this just goes to show one needs to check ALL statements carefully every month..... But as for me I am Happy that my Mortgage is with VMF ... They are always straight forward no nonsense and very helpful and honest with me... I highly Recommend them ...

Hi my name is Tanya. I would like to brag a little on a rep from VMF. His name is Timothy Smith. I had 3 surgeries this past year 2016. I really thought that I had everything under control financially and set. After the 3 surgeries I was off work for about 4-5 months roughly (longer than I had expected with after care therapy). My Short term disability Ins. that I had which was suppose to help me cover my expenses and bills did not follow through as they had specified. Always read the small print and the exceptions to your stay in the hospital as to whether your stay is coded correctly. Well this left me in quite a jam. After listening to my dilemma Thanks to Tim Smith he was able to work some magic. Tim went to battle for me and was able to defer my payment which was a life saver. God sent! If we had more representatives that would take the time to help people(listen instead of judging) like Mr. Smith this world would be a much better place….sometimes all we need is just a little understanding and great customer representatives like Mr. Tim Smith! Thank you so much Timothy Smith!!

I wanted to take the time out to give Mr. Tom Ireland from Vanderbilt Mortgage and finance Company a 5-Star rating for Outstanding customer service. Mr. Ireland went above and beyond to help me and my mom out in a very stressful and on going situation with a company that was not able to assist us with getting our paperwork in to get our mortgage paid off. Mr. Ireland was very professional and was always available to assist with paperwork phone calls and just researching all information that was needed. Mr. Tom Ireland is a Great asset to Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance Company and should be greatly appreciated and rewarded for his outstanding job. Because of Mr. Tom Ireland my experience with Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance Company was a great pleasure!!! I applied for a foreclosed home and land package the first week of may and was called the same day to say I was approved. Moved in my new home mid july. Customer service with Vanderbilt has been amazing. I have to say I am very pleased with them. After living in a camper for the past year with my 2 children it was an amazing feeling to know that I was finally able to buy a home for us by myself. I love it so far and sure I will continue too. Thank you Vanderbilt for j this happen for me and my little family. I have to also add that since acquiring my home with Vanderbilt, I lost 2 different jobs. Now I was able to obtain a new somewhat quickly the second time but the first time I was not and got behind quite a bit. Well today I got the best news ever. My loan is now current thanks to Samantha Potts and Jared Thacker. Amazing customer service from these two. May God bless these two as much as they have helped me. Thank you so much Vanderbilt

You have truely helped me along the way to keep my hopes up and getting through this very difficult time in my life. I have fallen behind in my mortgage agreement do to an injury at work where i became dissabled in feb 2016. I just knew i was going to loose my Dream Home that i had worked so hard for. I couldnt even pay my property taxes, in which you helped with that. I then knew you were more than just a lender, you were more like family. And you all have done so much for me, i have kept in touch with you through this and you have never made me loose hope these past 8 months. Without going into a long story I would just like to mention how wonderful Will Boggs and Mrs. RIden along with Tonia are at your company. I have had some very hard things come up with loosing both my parents and other things and at this extremely hard time in my life Will and Miss. Riden where so easy to speak with and they really listen to me to understand what is happening in our life and set up a plan for us to succeed at. I am so thankful that these three people worked with us and just want to give them the credit do and hope the company will mention to them that the service they are giving is wonderful. Hello Everyone, I just wanted to post a note concerning my experience with Vanderbilt Mortgage Company, I have purchased a property from them about 9 years ago, all has been good, I have been always current on my payments with them, however I lost my job recently and was unable to make my Dec payment, so I called them, told them of my problem, and they stepped up to assist me in any way they could so I could get threw this Holliday season, They set it up so all I had to do was make a 1/2 payment and they would cover the other 1/2 of the payment, not only for Dec but for January as well. I am so glad I called them and am very thankful that they offered to help. What more could anyone want in a Mortgage company, I am very Pleased with them. When purchasing a new mobile home from Clayton Homes, Our sales rep suggested Vanderbilt. Once the application was submitted, the Vanderbilt staff contacted us and walked us through the entire process. They did follow up calls with details and to make sure we were happy with the progress of our loan. These great people went above and beyond anything my wife and I ever expected. They even worked with us and made suggestions to help keep us within our budget. Not once did they try to sell us something that we could afford. After the loan was finalized and we had moved in, a representative called and did another follow up to make sure everything went OK. We will highly recommend Vanderbilt in the future.
