This is a horrible company. I called at 3:15 pm to have someone come out as my AC is not working at all and I have dogs and my husband had a heart condition. I was told between 1 and 4 hours. Tech called but my phone never rang so when I got the voicemail we called him back 5 times and called the local office back twice to then get a call at 7:45pm from the national call center telling me the service call fee has gone from $89 to $140 I told them it was complete bs and what had already occurred they stated they would talk to a supervisor and call us back. We then get a call from the tech at 8:35pm stating that he couldn’t get here till 2 or 3 am but more then likely someone wouldn’t be here till 8 AM. This company is disgusting. I plan on contacting the better business bureau as well as Home Depot who this company represents as a vendor and letting them know I am thoroughly disgusted which is bad since I have a Home Depot credit card and spend a ton of money there and have a friend who owns an HVAC company in Chicago would even as a small company with a lot of customers doesn’t tell someone that he’ll be there almost 12 hours after the first call was made.

We received a service call on March 14th from Florida Home Air Conditioning. The Service tech was Pan S. He called ahead to confirm that we were home. He checked our system inside and out and determined .that there were problems with the capacitors ion the inside and contacts and the dual capacitor on the outside unit. He showed me the test reading and we both heard the outside unit running roughly. After providing a quote for the repairs, we asked him to procure the parts and he scheduled us for installation on the 15th. The works was completed quickly on the afternoon of the 15th. The unit outside sounded smooth and much more powerful than the previous. day. Pan S. was very polite and efficient and kept every area of work clean. When the work was completed and the paperwork finished we were totally satisfied with the check up and the repairs made. We would recommend Florida Home Air Conditioning to our friends and intend to get an annual service contract through the Home Depot. A very satisfied Customer, Ernie George

I will never deal with this company again. Not only was my air conditioning unit installed improperly, it took countless calls because no one would follow up as they indicated they would. When I finally was able to get in touch with someone that could address the improperly installed unit, they agreed it had been installed improperly by contractors working for them and fixed the damage done to my ceiling and molding. A few months later, I received a certified letter indicating that I had ignored calls to schedule an inspection. I was called once. The dates on the letter included were fictitious. When I called to follow up on this, I got the same song and dance of being transferred around and no one returning calls they promised. When I finally got in touch with someone, they acknowledged that the dates included on the letter may not be valid, but it served its purpose in getting an inspection scheduled. Do yourself a favor. Do not do business with this company.

Jimmy greeted me with badge in site. This is important to me as a woman. He was training someone and also introduced this person. Every check on my air handler was also explained to me. I learned not to let mulch or dirt get around the base of the air conditioning unit. He explained not to cover the concrete slab around the unit...never knew how important this little detail was to air circulation! I respect contractors that educate consumers and I will definitely recommend them to ALL my neighbors. There are so many contractors to choose from and I am very happy I rely on repeated service with Florida Home Air Conditioning. The technicians are respectful and the service was excellent! Just wanted to recognize the fine work that Chris Charison has done for me - for the second time. The first time was in diagnosing a problem I was having in a drain pan that was causing a leak I could not find. The second time was in response to an cooling issue I was having only in the middle of the day. Other technicians had replaced a failed starter once but I was on my their compressor in 6 weeks. Chris found the problem was in the "reversing value" was sticking allowing hot air to go into the system - likely causing the compressors to fail. 4 other techs missed that. I wish Chris has been the first to arrive. I had to endure a wedding reception of 50 people without my main AC at one point. Thank you Chris C!!

W purchased an almost 7,000$ unit in July of 2007. Problems since day one. They didnt finish connecting the ducking, they didnt hook up one of the suction things, They did honor the 1 year warranty. All the insulation inside the ducking and got wet therefore no air flow AT ALL, he said my dogs ripped up the ducking and gave us a unreal estimate so we called the handy man and he fixed the problem for 50$! Instead of cutting another area of ducking they just crammed it inside the other ducking. This is all over the period of a year and half. It just was never quite working normal. Now in October 2009 I am again sitting here in the heat because the brand new unit just isnt working at all! RUDE People

I give zero stars!!! Listen to all the bad reviews posted. They are 110% true. This place is a complete and total joke. Once they get your money there is zero service. Anybody leaving a positive review for this company must be one of their friends, employees or owners. Their customer service sucks! They never follow through! Ever! And the work they do is a mess.. they flake and they are never on time. Always late and a day late. Go with any other company but this one even if it costs a little more. You get what you pay for the extra money is worth it. This company should go into the sauna business and leave the AC business to the pros. I have no clue why they are still in business.. You have been warned.

Please save yourself the pain and DO NOT call this company. It is a very long drama (still on going) but the highlights are that they performed service on my rental home that was unauthorized and 4 days later I had to call a REAL company and actually have the unit properly repaired. This happened in April 2011. Last week, I received a letter from a collections company looking for payment. I NEVER received an invoice from them as I explained to the manager and the service technician, that I was not going to pay for service that was unauthorized, that I was given no options because the technician never called me!, and now the invoice is in collections. Unbelievable. I smell law suit.

Horrible customer service in Jacksonville, Florida. They have missed several appointments, MAINTENANCE PLANS and SERVICE CALLS within the last 12 months. The installation was fine and I was content after their unit in 2011. After a couple of months, I went to change my filter but it was stuck. This was the original filter from installation. I custom ordered a years worth of filters through Florida Home but none of them would go in correctly and always had to be ripped out. Florida Home Air has not claimed responsibility for filters not working nor have they delivered the electrostatic filter I purchased in April 2016. Unanswered emails have prompted me to write this review.

I have two Trane AC units purchased from Florida Home AC in 2009. I have them serviced annually by your service technician Mr. Pan S. Pan is a true professional service rep. He is knowledgeable, thorough in his inspections, checks operation and makes adjustments to keep the units operating in good form. At the end of each service call, he goes over his work and finding with me and makes suggestions on future needs and inspections. He has serviced my units since installation and I trust his work and request that he service my units when I call for inspections or other work. Pan is a great representative of your company and makes Florida Home AC a trusted professional business.

If you see any 5 star ratings ask yourself if they are real or written by a reputation restorer!!! I called early Monday Jan. 09,2017 to have one of my heat pumps serviced. We spent the weekend with no heat. Answering service required layers of voice menus to reach a live person in another city who promised to have someout to repair or service the unit between 10 AM and 1:30-pm. No one called or showed the entire day. I called again the next day they apologized and said someone would show between 10 AM and 1:30 pm since it would take them an hour to reach the other side of JAX, FL. I called again at 1:30PM and they said maybe between 3 or 4PM. I cancelled the request for service.

This company simply do not care. DO NOT GO WITH THEM. For all those unsuspected and possible customers who may fall pray to them READ THIS. Avoid Home Depot too because they have a sales person in every Home Depot store trying to con you into a Tune Up or purchase of a New Unit with FREE estimates. These people stand with a black apron on at the end cap near an air conditioning unit. They do not work for Home Depot they merely have a contract to try and sell under their umbrella and good name and reputation.. Read the reviews not just on this page but on all the sites. It is true what people say. Incompetent, poorly trained staff.

This morning we had our air conditioning system serviced by Florida Home Air Conditioning for our bi-annual servicing and found our service professional Chaz M. to be completely thorough in conducting our annual cleaning, flushing, and power check up. He provided us with thorough facts concerning the condition of our unit and made the necessary repairs. Chaz was very polite and courteous, showing respect to both of us and our home. Owner does not call you back. Tech came out and pumped freon in the ac unit without really finding the real problem. Why would the tech do that without finding out if there was a leak somewhere? The freon leaked out in one night. So the problem is still not fixed. Second tech came out and said he would not do anything and that we needed a new unit. We would like our money back since there should be a guarantee for more than one day, right? They did not fix the problem and they just took our money!!!!!! Update: The corporate office took care of the situation and sent us our money back. Thank you for doing the right thing.

This is a review for Pan S. who fixed our air conditioner. Our freon had leaked out and the house was 96. Another technician reloaded the freon and told us a cap was off. Within 3 days it had leaked out again. This time Pan S. was sent to do the work. He literally got INTO the air conditioner and found holes in a pipe and repaired the pipes! Now everything works. THANK YOU to PAN S for fixing our problem efficiently, correctly and thoroughly. He is a knowledgeable technician and in the future I will always ask for him to be sent out if we need any more fixes.
